Today I decided to make a circle card for this week's Penny Black Challenge. I really liked using the doily in yesterday's card, so I thought I'd use one again. I sponged the edges lightly with night of navy ink. Then adhered it to a night of navy circle. The white scallops are actually 1"circle punchouts that I adhered behind the navy circle and sponged with navy ink. Then I punched three little holes in each circle. I ran the bashful blue circle thru the big kick with one of SU's texture plates. I really wish it would show more! I also sponged these edges with night of navy ink, then adhered it to the night of navy card base. To finish off the card, Iadded the ribbon, mounted the elephant and flower with butterfly with dimensionals, added some punched out flowers with buttons and applied stickles to the flowers and around the bashful and navy edge. The sentiment is from a precious moments set, I punched it out with my word window punch then adhered to a large oval and added paper piercing.
Stamps: Penny Black (Embrace), Precious Moments sentiment
Ink: black, night of navy
Paper: night of navy, bashful blue, pretty in pink, wild wasabi, paper doily
Accessories: copics, ribbon, buttons, several punches, stickles, SU texture plates, big kick.
Hope you like my take at a circle card!
