Penny Black for Octoberfest challenge

Happy Saturday!!

There is a monthly contest over at the Penny Black blog for a fantastic prize. This month it's called "octoberfest". We are asked to use any image from the Christmas Catalog to make a card with.

I only have a couple of stamps from that catalog (have lots more on my wishlist though!). So I decided to use "Snowy" again.

I went with a purple christmas card theme. Got this beautiful double sided designer paper by Bo Bunny recently and this was my chance to use it.

I paper pieced snowy's hat and scarf with matching designer paper. Lots of glitter was used again, I just can't keep my hands off of it LOL.
The border was done using my brand new Martha Stewart punch. I added some silver cord with a snowflake button, glitterly paper snowflakes, and did machine stitching all around. The card is a lot more sparkly in real life, somehow I am having trouble getting the sparkles to show up well in pictures.

I am also entering this into a couple of other challenges:

• A spoon full of sugar (theme: winter wonderland)
• Wild Orchid (theme: stitching)
