Whimsy Stamps - October Rubber Stamps Release and mini hop

Happy Wednesday everyone

Today is another special day at Whimsy Stamps , as the new October stamps were just released!

From today until 19 October, the Whimsy DesignTeam and Special Guests will be showcasing these fabulous new stamps and dies with a daily mini blog hop. Each mini blog hop has a new release prize hidden somewhere along the way and you will have 24hrs to enter each prize draw by ensuring you leave a comment on every blog listed for that day.

Here is what I created for today's showcase.

I used the stamps "Christmas Bart" by Crissy Armstrong, and a stamp from the set "stockings" by Raindrop Echo.
Of course I haven't had a chance yet to go out of town to buy new christmas papers, so I just used up some old Stampin Up ones.

I recently treated myself to some Ranger Distress inks after watching some you-tube tutorials on how to color with them. I know my coloring is nowhere near perfect but I am having so much fun with my new coloring method.
The edges were also sponged with distress ink. I embellished with ribbon and gold cord, glitter, glassy glaze on the ornaments, lights and candy canes, and machine sewing.
