Black and White Plus One at Penny Black and More

Happy Easter! I hope it's a sunny one for you. Not sure if we'll  get to see any sunshine today and it's much too cold...but I think as long as there will be some Easter goodies everyone will be happy :)

Since it's the first Sunday of the month it is time for a new theme at Penny Black and More challenge and this month we would like to see creations made with black and white plus one other color only.  We have some fantastic prizes to give away again this month, so I hope you'll decide to join us for a chance to win. You have until the end of April to play along!

Tonic Stamp Platform // Similar Stencil

The flower stamp is from one of Penny Black's brand new floral stamp sets - Happy Together - one I had to have and it's also brand new available in my Etsy shop if your'e interested. I stamped with Memento tuxedo ink and colored with copic markers in  a lavender shade using Copic BV00, BV02 and BV04 on Copic Xpress it Blending Card. If you are looking for single colors of copics, Blick Art Materials is a great place for your markers or refills. They also offer free shipping on most orders of $35 or more within the US.  To add a little bit of interest to the card I used a herring bone type stencil on the background and Milled Lavender Ink. I didn't keep the stencil packaging, so I have no idea what brand of stencil I used, the one I linked below the photo is similar.
Framed with a black patterned paper and then mounted onto a lavender card base. I finished off the card by adding some pearly sticky dots to the card.

As You Like It Challenge  - Favorite Flowers and Why (Ok, this one is a hard one, as I don't have just one kind of favorite flower. I love different flowers for different reasons, these I love because of their shape, they look like little bells and don't laugh but I remember as I child I used to imagine I actually heard a bell ringing when shaking the bloom. I guess these cute flowers bring back childhood memories so they are one of my favorites - along with Daffodils for their smell and Snowdrops for their first appearance in spring and again the cute bell shape, add Bleeding Hearts for another childhood memory and their heart shape, Orchids for their exotic look....I could go on and on... )

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you  have a great day! And just to let you know...the new Crafty Wednesday challenge will be posted THIS Wednesday right here on my blog with a brand new theme for April. I hope you'll check back then!

  1. Those Harebells are so beautifully delicate Ellie and the soft stenciling in the background carries the colour beautifully.

Very cold here as well, just 4 deg but at least it's not raining - at the moment.

    Happy Easter.
