Birds, Butterflies and/or Animals for Penny Black and More February Challenge

Good morning, well this month snuck up on me and I totally forgot to schedule my post!! The first Sunday of the month means it's time for a new theme at Penny Black and More challenge. This month we picked a nice and easy one.... Animals, Birds and/or Butterflies. Hopefully you can join in for a chance to win one of the wonderful prizes up for grabs. This month we have 3 prizes to give away, 2 from  Penny Black and one from Stamp Addicts.

To make my card I used the stamp Flower Perch, heat embossed on Bristol Vellum paper and I colored with my copic markers and a touch of Faber Castell Polychromos pencils for some shading. It's hard to tell but I used a Brick Wall stamp (also from Penny Black) around the image for some interest.

The sentiment is from the Penny Black set Eloquence. I distressed the edges using my distresser tool. Ive accidentally torn the paper using the distresser, but I decided to make it part of the design and tore it in another place as well, and I added a little bit of pink pattern paper under it. The edges were then inked with some Antique Linen distress ink and I finished it off with a little clear button and jute twine

Thanks so much for visiting!!
