Hello and welcome! This week we are celebrating the 800th week of Allsorts
challenges and what better theme than "Anything Goes" so everyone can take part and have a chance at winning one of our wonderful
prizes. We have 4 stamp sets and 2 stencils from AALL and Create to give away this week so come join the fun!
I was actually inspired to use 2 of the stamps sets we have on offer this week
and this is the result:
I was going for a yellow and brown color combo, the main brown I used is
Vintage Photo Distress ink and for yellow I used various shades of
Copic
markers to color up the flower along with a yellow card base.
To make the background I first stamped the clocks and numbers image from the
Aall and Create set Fully Fledged (#751) second generation stamping of
Vintage Photo. Next I used a
Harlequin stencil by Tim Holtz and a
Mini Tiles Texture stencil by The Crafters Workshop. I also stamped the coneflower from the
Aall and Create set Textured Florals (#531) using second generation Vintage
Photo ink then flicked some diluted ink onto the background for some
splatter. The circle cutout was done using 2 sizes of Nestabilities circle
dies which I then inked with Vintage Photo Distress ink. As mentioned, the
flower from the set Textured Florals has been colored with Copic markers
then fussy cut. Before I added the flower, I stamped the birds from the set
Friendship Florals (#648). The little bird on the bottom right is from
another set - Blackbird (#530). Sentiment and "coneflower" are all
part of the set Textured Florals. I inked the edges using once again the
same Vintage Photo ink then distressed them with a pair of scissors as I
have misplaced my distressing tool. Scissors work just as well though! Some
direct to paper inking along the edges with the same ink pad, then I adhered
to white cardstock then onto a yellow card base. I found these yellow
enamel dots in my stash so I added them to the card.
