It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas

Another Saturday is here (and another scheduled post from me), and it's time for a new theme at Allsorts challenge. Lynn is hosting this week and her theme is ... "It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas". Of course as always there is the Anything Goes option too for those maybe done with Christmas makes or maybe you celebrate another holiday instead. We welcome all your new crafty makes (up to 3 per person). Our prizes come from AALL and Create, there will be 2 prizes this week.

Here is what I made:

I decided to use this cute stamp from Penny Black from the set Gather Around. I colored with Zig Clean Color markers. I wanted to use some non-traditional colors this time so I incorporated navy and I found this pretty navy patterned paper that came as part of a Scrapbook Customs  paper pack.

After coloring the image I inked the edges and stamped the little snowflake on the background which is part of the same stamp set. The sentiment strip on the bottom of the card is the pattern on the other side of the patterned paper (double sided designer paper) so I decided to simply cut a strip and use it for the sentiment part of the card. Some gold cord and a bow finish off the card. I did use a Wink of Stella brush on the ornaments and star but it doesn't show up too well.

  7. I like the navy colored patterned paper with those cute mice decorating the tree, but I especially like how you flipped the paper to create the sentiment panel. That's so clever and looks perfect too.

  8. Love your card! I won't participate in the hop, as I've been on an inadvertent blogging hiatus, but I will definitely visit all the participating blogs. And you've inspired me to get back into posting at least once a week in 2025.
