Stamp Something Cream and Green

Happy Friday!! Hope you had a great week and are looking forward to the weekend! Maybe you are lucky enough to have some sunshine and a warmer temperature.

I made today's card for our challenge over at Stamp Something.

Something green and cream.

For my card I used one of my Popcorn the Bear Stamps. Image has been colored with derwent coloursoft and baby oil for blending. My papers are from my box of scraps, these are from Stampin Up.

I kept the card pretty simple. I have been enjoying making simpler cards and using simple sketches these days!

Embellished with just a button with some ribbon and thread and then I added a prima flower in place of the "stamped" flower from the image. The sentiment came from the same set, I cut it apart to fit on my design. To finish it all off I did some sewing with my janome sew mini.

I'd like to combine my card with the following challenges:
Hope you'll find some time to join us this week! We have another amazing sponsor, Michelle's Scrapbooking and more and there is a fun prize up for grabs!

Have a great day!!
Ellie.

A flower for you

This week was my birthday and I treated myself to some new goodies to play with! I just love being able to choose some of my own birthday presents!!

One of the things I got is a new "popcorn the bear" stamp set. So so cute! I also have been wanting to try the Derwent coloursoft pencils ever since I "met" Anne-Marije. Her coloring is just amazing. You have to check it out!

I didn't really need another form of coloring since I own a lot of copics and prismacolor pencils (and watercolor pencils and pastels). These are very similar to prismacolor pencils but I think their lead is a lot softer (IMO) which made it so easy to blend with gamsol. And they are so much easier to work with (for me) than copics. I only got the pack of 24 pencils but will be ordering more of them individually.

So here is my card using Popcorn the bear colored with Derwent coloursoft pencils.

I kept it pretty simple, just used a pretty paper from Bo Bunny (I think), some stickles glitter and a ribbon for embellishing. Card base is Kraft card stock from stampin up.

Thanks so much for visiting me today, hope you liked my card!!

Have a great day,

Popcorn the bear

Hi everyone and thanks for stopping by today.

I have a quick and simple card to share today. The image is "popcorn the bear". Isn't he a cutie? I got the set several weeks ago and had the image colored for a while too. Glad he finally made it onto a card :-)

I colored him using prismacolor pencils and baby oil for blending. The white edges were sponged with yellow ink, but since it's such a light color it is not visible on the picture. Added the scallop edges and some ribbon and then adhered to the chocolate chip card front. For some sparkle I added stickles glitter to the flower centers. I'll be sending this card to a friend as a spring cards, since I forgot to send any easter cards this year. And now it's too late :-(

Wishing you all a happy and blessed Easter Holiday on Sunday, hope it's a sunny one where ever you are! Enjoy the easter egg hunts!
