"Miss you" card and Whimsy Cyber Monday Sale!!!

Hello and Happy Sunday!
Before I get to my card today, I wanted to let you know Whimsy Stamps is having their yearly
Cyber Monday Sale - tomorrow 11/30.
Be sure to grab your favorites tomorrow while they are on sale and still in stock!!

For today's card I used the cute stamp "Mia so lonely" from the Lizzy Love collection.
I heat embossed the image on Strathmore Bristol Vellum card stock and colored with faber castell polychromos pencils. The edges were then inked with distress ink. I used some sort of color blocking sketch and embellished with a little diecut flower and hearts. Sentiment comes with the stamp. I used a paper piercing tool kit for the piercing and the holes for the twine. Flower die is from MFT and hearts from Cuttlebug.

Playing along here:

Whimsy Stamps - November Challenge

I have another Christmas creation to share with you today, this is my second post for today, if you'd like to see my other one, simply scroll down or click HERE.

It's time for a new Whimsy Stamps challenge, and this month the challenge is "Christmas". We have a wonderful Whimsy prize to give away, so be sure to check out the post and take a look at what the rest of the team created. You don't have to use a Whimsy stamps to enter.

For my card today I used an new stamp from Whimsy's Lizzy Love designs - Stars and Baubles Background. It was just released last week. I thought it was perfect for a CAS Christmas creation.

The dark card stock I used is actually elegant eggplant by Stampin Up. No idea why it looks navy or black in the photo, no matter what I tried it just came out looking like this.
I heat embossed the image using detail silver embossing powder. Cut it to shape and then added silver card stock strips next to the image panel. The sentiment was stamped using elegant eggplant ink by SU to match my card stock. I added a few sequins for embellishments and matted onto a white card base.
Sentiment is from the set "Holiday Cheer" released a couple years ago, but always a favorite!

I am also playing along here:
Inkspirational - anything goes with silver
Brown Sugar –  No Patterned Paper
Crafting-With-Friends - Always Anything Goes
Creative Fingers -    Always Anything Goes (W2 of 2)
Simply Papercraft -   Always Anything Goes
Wags 'n Whiskers -  Embossing (not sure if this qualifies as I didn't use an animal)

Have a great day everyone!!

Whimsy Stamps - September Rubber & Clear Stamp Release

Happy Wednesday everyone, and thank you so much for visiting!

Whimsy Stamps took a little Summer break from new releases over the last two month, but the Whimsy artists have been busy illustrating some gorgeous new stamps for our new releases.

Today is the start of our 3-day blog hops showcasing stamps from the September release. This month we're doing  combined blog hops
with the Clearly Whimsy Clear Stamp team, so even more goodies to see and add to your wish list.

For today's card I used the gorgeous stamp Spooky Sookie from Whimsy's Lizzy Love collection. She's actually part of a little set, that includes all the sentiments I used here, as well as the little spider I used on the green strip. There is also a spider web included in this set, but I didn't use it on the card.
She's been colored using my Faber Castell Polychromos pencils and blended with baby oil. Not much blending was done on the hair, I simply used different shades of purple on the hair.

Product List:
Spooky Sookie (Whimsy Stamps)
Papers from Stash
versafine onyx ink, glitter
Faber Castell Polychromos for coloring

If you'd like to hop along with us, simply visit the links below. Don't forget to leave comments along the way - a winner will be chosen from one of the Designer's blogs, but the location is kept secret.  You have until Monday morning 8am ET to hop along each day, so there is plenty of time :-)

Have fun hopping and good luck everyone!! I'll be back again tomorrow with a super cute Christmas card for our second blog hop day :-)

Today we are excited to show you the brand new Crissy Armstrong, Time for Tea Designs, Lizzy Love, Michele Roos stamps and dies being released this month.

For my card today, I inked up the cute stamp "Gracie did it" from the Lizzy Love collection.

Stamped her onto xpress it blending card, and colored with copics, then fussy cut. The sketch was inspired by a card I came across on pinterest. Papers are all from MME, and all dies are from Whimsy stamps too. The graduate sentiment is part of the Lizzy Love image, the "you're a star" sentiment is part of an older sentiment set.

Whimsy Stamps - April Rubber Stamps and Dies Release Day

Hello and welcome to the 3rd (and last) day of Whimsy Stamps' April Rubber Stamp and Die release blog hop. All new goodies are available to purchase right now at the Whimsy Stamps shop
I hope you were able to hop along with us the last 2 days, but if not, today we are having our grand blog hop, which means a fabulous prize of $25 for the Whimsy Shop is up for grabs! To be entered into the drawing, simply visit all DT members blogs (below), and leave a comment along the way.

I made a little mixed media style card for today, using the cute stamp "Perscilla" from the Lizzy Love collection.
The image has been stamped onto xpress blending card and colored using copic markers. I used acrylic paints along with white craft ink and black ink for my background, and some word background stamps. It needed something pink so I used some pink designer paper on the bottom.
To finish the card off, I stenciled a design using black ink in the corner, added the sentiment which is part of the "Perscilla" stamp set. Of course, right after I was finished with the card, I noticed that I had cut the flowers she is holding off :-( but sadly there was no time to re-do the whole card, and I used liquid glue to adhere the image, so I wasn't even able to remove it.

Whimsy Stamps - March Release Day 1 Blog Hop

It's new release week at Whimsy Stamps this week, and we are celebrating with 3 days of exciting blog hops showing you creations made with these new products, and of course don't forget about the PRIZES!!! All you have to do in order to be entered into the drawing, is visit all blogs listed below and leave a comment. There will be a prize hidden in one of the blogs on each hop day!!

Today we are showing you creations made with stamps by Crissy Armstrong, Time 4 Tea, and Lizzy Love.
I decided to ink up the sweet "Fay the Fancy Fairy" by from the Lizzy Love collection for today.

She's been stamped onto xpress blending card using memento ink, and colored using copic markers. I fussy cut using my cutterbee scissors.

To create my background I first masked the edges of the white card stock using washi tape, then I used distress ink and dylusions ink. I stamped a verse from a retired stamp set onto the grass portion and also used a stencil to add more ink to the grass. I used dylusions spray ink only on the sky part of the background.

It's been finished off by adding butterflies, glitter and rhinestones.

Happy Monday and Welcome to the Whimsy Stamps February Rubber Stamp and Die Release Blog Hop -  Day 1!

We are celebrating the new release with 3 days of blog hops and of course there are PRIZES!!!
Be sure to hop along and leave comments for chance to win!

Today we are showing you creations made with the beautiful stamp designs by Lizzy Love, Time4Tea Designs and Crissy Armstrong.

I used Annie has a Sweet Tooth on today's card from Whimsy's Lizzy Love collection. This image is actually part of a set, and also includes a small ice cream cone and a sentiment.

I decided to use her with another sentiment. She's been colored with copic markers and fussy cut.
I thought the designer paper was perfect to use, to create a scene with, and the purple matched my image perfectly too :-)
The sentiment is also from a brand new set - Elegant Labels - and I used the new elegant label die to cut it out. Simply embellished with some twine to finish it off.
