DTC #77 It's all about the girls

Happy Tuesday everyone and thanks so much for visiting me today.
It's time for another challenge at Digital Tuesday. It's Lora's turn to host and this week she wants to see

All things girly

Super fun and easy, we all like to make girly cards right, so hope you all join in!!

For my card I used my other brand new (to me) Mo Manning image, Strawberry girl. Got it a few weeks ago and since I hadn't used it yet I decided to use it today.

It's been printed on couture 80lb card stock and colored using derwent coloursoft pencils blended with baby oil and copic markers for her skin.

I wanted to enter my card to this week's Mo's Digital Challenge, with the theme "bright white" so I did not use any designer papers and all my layers are white. I did add a red butterfly underneath the white one for some shading.

The papers were embossed using my big kick and a couple of cuttlebug embossing folders. I added some stickles glitter around the image, strawberries and embossing. Then paper pierced around the image. To finish the card off I added a few pearls and white grosgrain ribbon.
My sentiment was a freebie I received from Funky Kits with my order.

In addition to digital tuesday and Mo's digital challenge my card also fits the following challenges
This week it's my turn to sponsor the Digital Tuesday Challenge blog with Digital Stamp Oasis. The winner gets to choose 3 digis from my etsy store.
And since I didn't use a digi from DSO for my design team card I am going to show you here a card that I made a few months ago using the image "Costume kids-bee". It think this image would be so cute to use for a halloween card or to make a tag for a halloween treat bag.
Info for this card can be found here.

That is all for today, I do hope you will join in this week's digital tuesday challenge. And be sure to check out the rest of the design team's projects. They are gorgeous - as always!!

Have a great day,

Blueberry girl

Happy Friday!!

Today I decided to play in this week's Mo's Digital Challenge. The theme this week is "special folds and flowers". I think the fold I used is called "gate fold".

I purchased the strawberry and blueberry girl from Mo Manning's store a few weeks ago and just hadn't had time yet to use them. And I really wanted to before summer is over.
For today's card I used Blueberry girl. What a cutie and so much fun to color!

It's been printed on couture 80lb card stock which I purchased at I heart papers. Again, I used my derwent coloursoft pencils blended with baby oil. For the skin I used a couple of copic markers.

My designer paper is by basic grey (wisteria collection), card stock is elegant eggplant from Stampin Up. It's amazing how well the eggplant card stock matches the purple in the designer paper!

The card is kept pretty simple. Sketch was inspired by the sketch from Just Magnolia. I embellished with a prima flower (sponged it with eggplant ink to make it match better), some tulle, a button and ribbon. Distressed and sponged the edges and then I did some stitching with my janome mini. Of course I had to add some glitter too. My sentiment is from an old Stampin Up set.

Here is a picture of the card opened.
Besides Mo's challenge I am also entering it to these:
Thanks so much for stopping by today!!
Have a great weekend!!

Digital Tuesday Challenge #70

Happy Tuesday everyone! It's time for another fun challenge at the DT challenge blog. Michelle is our hostess this week and she has chosen a super fun challenge this week, hope you'll all give it a try.

Use digistamps from 2 different companies on one card.

WARNING: If you plan on merging two companies, be sure to check the store's policies as some companies do not allow merging with other companies. But you can always just cut out the second digi and adhere it to your card, as I have done.

On my card I used digis from MelJen's designs (fence in background) and from Mo Manning (girl with dog). I've colored them using my derwent coloursoft pencils with baby oil and copic E00 and blush for the girl's skin.

The girl with dog were cut out and then adhered with some dimensionals for a bit of a 3D look. Sentiment is from a retired Stampin Up set. I've embellished with some punched out flowers and branch punch, a little bit of glitter and some brads. The sketch is from Friday Sketchers from a couple of weeks ago. Papers are from Stampin up,white card stock is couture 80lb.

Hope you liked my Design Team card for this challenge. I had so much fun with it!

If you are up for a challenge, why not join us this week. We can't wait to see what everyone comes up with and what digis you choose to use! As always, we have a great sponsor, this week Dustin Pike is back again and he is offering 3 digistamps to one lucky winner! And if you are familiar with his work, you know how cute his digis are, if not - you have to go check out
his store!

Have a great day,
Ellie.

DTC #68 - Happy Birthday

Happy Tuesday everyone!!
This week the challenge at Digital Tuesday, chosen by the lovely Lorraine, is

Happy Birthday

That is easy enough, right, so hopefully you'll all join in this week for a chance at a great prize.

For my card I used an image from Mo Manning. I was lucky enough this time to get it as a freebie by following her facebook page. It is no longer a freebie, but can be purchased at her store.

I decided to go with a pink and brown theme with a touch of mellow moss this week, and I did some distressing.

I've colored the image using copic markers. I colored it before I got my new derwent coloursoft pencils, can't wait to color it again using my new pencils.

Papers are from K&Company and stampin up. I did some machine stitching and distressed the edges. I embellished with some paper flowers and pearls, some stickles glitter and ribbon.

I am also entering my card to this week's stamp something challenge (theme: something digital)

If you have some time why not join us this week. You may combine as many challenges as you like, as long as it is a new creation and don't forget to use a digi.

We have a brand new sponsor too, Delicious doodles , their digis are so very cute! And of course there will be a prize to win!

That's it from me for today, thanks so much for stopping by my blog today.

Have a great day,

Hopping Happy!!

Happy Friday everyone!

I actually managed to get a card done tonight. I just bought this cute image from Mo Manning yesterday and then decided to play the Digital Pencil Too challenge today. It's a color challenge to use blue and brown and one neutral color. Blues and browns is definitely one of my favorite color combos so I couldn't resist.

After I printed the image I immediately sprinkled clear embossing powder over it and heat embossed the image. Then I used my copic markers for coloring.
I stamped a flourish all around the edges and then sponged and distressed the edges. The designer paper is from my stash. I also stamped the flourish on two corners of the designer paper to make it a little more interesting. The sentiment is from a Stampin Up (retired) set. I embellished with some punched out flowers, flatback pearls, stickles glitter, ribbon and sewing.
This card with this cute girly image also fits the "girly challenge" at Stamp Something.

Thanks so much for visiting me today, hope you liked the card. The complete recipe is below.

Recipe
Stamps: digi by Mo Manning , stampin up (sentiment), paper inspirations (flourish)

I made this card for this week's digital tuesday challenge. Lora is our hostess week and she wants to see "all things girly". Loved the challenge because I got to use this brand new (to me) digital stamp from Mo Manning. I just love the dreamy expression on the girl's face.

I colored the image with my copic markers. Designer paper is by Bo Bunny. Other papers are Stampin Up. I embellished with ribbon, flower (SU punch), butterfly(MS punch), brads, stickles, flourish (cuttlebug die), machine stitching.

The sketch is from this week's Create4Fun challenge. The card also fits the following challenges:

You warm my heart

Here's a card I made just for the fun of it.
The image is from Mo Manning. I thought it would make a cute card for Valentines Day. I just love the image. So much fun to color.

Designer papers are from Stampin up (polka dots DP) and from Basic Grey (vertical lines with hearts DP). The sentiment was computer generated , punched out and adhered to a scallop circle. I did some machine sewing. Also sponged the edges with creamy caramel ink . Added a little bit of frosted lace stickles for a snowy effect.
The sketch is from this week's mojo monday (I left off the rounded corners and flipped the sketch), and it also fits this week's ABC challenge L is for Layers and this week's Charisma Challenge with is anything new. This image is brand new to me and so is the basic grey designer paper.

Below is a picture of the copic colors I've used in case anyone wants to know.

Thanks so much for visiting my blog today. I hope you liked the project! Have a GREAT day!

Let it snow --- DTC38, and snowman card

Happy tuesday!!

Are you all set and ready for the holidays?? I still have to get a couple of things and wrap a few gifts for the kids, hopefully I'll get it done after they go to sleep tonight.

I made today's card for this week's digital tuesday challenge. Michelle P. chose the theme

"Let is snow".

She wants to see lots of snowflakes on our projects. I had so much fun making this card as it was actually still snowing when I made it! Plus this image from Mo Manning is just too adorable and so much fun to color.

I used copics for coloring. Added dazzling diamonds with a two way glue pen. I found the sentiment on the computer doing a search for scrapbooking verses. I thought it was perfect. The inside is not done yet, but it will say "happy winter" inside.

Colored card stock and papers are all from stampin up, designer paper is retired. Embellishments and tools are ribbon, stickles, martha stewart snowflake and lace border punch, eyelet, dazzling diamonds.

And here's a picture with the tag pulled out.

And here is the matching card I made for the gift set in my last post. I used the Penny Black stamp "snowy". It is the same sketch I used on my card above, just rotated things a little bit. Everything actually is pretty identical, I did use other designer papers and sentiment.

Card stock and designer papers both from stampin up and my local stamping store.
The sentiment is from Stampin Up's retired set "Season's greetings".

Thanks so much for visiting me today, hope you like the card and if you're up for a challenge over the holidays why not join us at digital tuesday for a chance to win some images from Dustin Pike?

That's it from me for now and since I don't plan on posting again until after christmas I am going to wish you all a

Merry Christmas

or

Happy Holidays

whatever you celebrate - have a fun time with your families!!

Digital Tuesday #35 - Christmas Sparkle

Hello and a happy tuesday! I hope you had a fantastic Thanksgiving Holiday Weekend!

I made this card for this week's digital tuesday challenge, which is Christmas Sparkle. Love the challenge because I love all kind of sparkle.

My image is from Mo Manning, who is also our sponsor this week, and she generously let us design team members choose one of her images.

I colored it with copic markers. The designer paper is from Basic Grey. Card stock by Stampin up. I know it is hard to see the sparkles in the picture, but you can trust me - it's there. I applied it to the garland, the candles and flame, the slippers and the flower centers in the designer paper.
To finish off this card I added the sentiment (by Stampin up), and ribbon.

Thanks so much for looking, hope you'll be able to play along for a chance to win something fun from Mo's digital pencils.

Digital Tuesday Challenge 28 ----BOO

Hi all.
It's time for another challenge over at digital tuesday. Our challenge host Amy wants to see halloween projects done this week.

For my digital I used a freebie from Mo Manning. I love her art, and you can get this image by joining her paper craft planet group.

I colored it with prisma color pencils and baby oil and did sponging around the edges to sort of create a "nightly feel". The sketch was inspired by last week's monday mojo, but I turned it a little to work with my image.

The little candy corn image is from my halloween hedgehog stamp set (retired stampin up), and the sentiment is from the same set too. I embellished with ribbon, a flourish die, eyelets and machine stitching. The entire recipe is below.

I'm so happy you are visiting my blog today. Hope you like my card and maybe you can join us this week at digital tuesday for a chance to win 3 of Dustin Pike's cute digis.

Recipe:
Stamps: Mo Manning halloween freebie, Halloween hedgehogs (stampin up)
Ink: HP inkjet, basic gray, elegant eggplant
Paper: white (GP), elegant eggplant, only orange (both SU), purple designer paper (the paper studio), orange print designer paper from my scrap box
Accessories and tools: grosgrain ribbon, black eyelets, oval punch ( SU), flourish die (sizzix), scallop circle nestabilities, janome mini sewing machine, big kick, prismacolor pencils, blending stumps, baby oil.

A new image and new paper too

Hi all, hope your day has been good! I did a lot of house cleaning today, plus DH complained about me being on the computer too much so I am just now uploading the card I made last night.

I just found a new Digi-store on etsy. It is called Digital Pencil. Edited to add: Digital Pencil images are now also available here at Mo's own online store found here: Mo's Digital Pencil. The images are just gorgeous. And when I saw this one, I knew right away I had to have it, because that bunny in the picture looks just like my daughter's little plush bunny.

I used copics to color the image. I sponged the edges a little bit for a softer look. My designer paper is from "paper pizazz". I used the martha stewart corn flower punch for the larger flowers and SU's flower trio punch for the small flowers. Added a scallop edge border and punched a little whole thru each scallop, then did some stitching with my janome mini. To finish off the card I added some halfback pearls, ribbon and stickles. Sentiment is from SU's retired set Happy heart day. Thanks so much for visting my blog today. Hope you liked the card!
