Such a cheerful color, reminds me of warmer weather, and although I do love winter, it has been way too cold of a winter this year! (Although it did warm up a little bit the last couple of days!)

To play along simply create a papercraft project using yellow somewhere on your card. It doesn't have to be the main color, but it does have to be easy to see.

WordPlay Saturday - December

Happy Saturday everyone, and thanks for stopping by! Hope you are all having a good weekend! We got snowed in last night and it's still snowing! Had to drive home from work in it. Glad I only live a few blocks away from work and so I didn't have to drive very far. It was very slippery and they hadn't cleared the roads yet. It does look really beautiful outside, maybe we'll take a winter walk in the park later (after baking some Christmas cookies).  I just love winter landscapes! Just don't like driving in them.

The main image has been heat embossed using black ink and clear embossing powder.

For the month of April, I thought the word  

Weather

 was very fitting. Simply create anything inspired by the word weather. It could be sunshine or rain, snow or wind, even a "under the weather" card. Whatever comes to your mind when you hear the word weather.

Sorry my card was late this week, I had two sick kids at the same time with one of them having to stay at the hospital for a few days, and he was left with tons of homework to catch up on over the weekend. So a little later than usual, here is my creation for the challenge.

Tools: Umbrella die (whimsy stamps), cuttlebug embossing folder, 1 1/4" circle punch, scallop border punch

Now onto this month's word, I decided on the word

Word Play Saturday 1 (January)

Hello and welcome to the  January "Word Play Saturday (monthly) Challenge"

I've been wanting to start this challenge up again for some time now, and finally, with the beginning of the year, I decided that I will run it monthly.

And this is how it works:

A new "word" sometimes a "word combination" will be posted here on the second Saturday of each month.

 Simply create a  card or other  papercrafting project  using the month's word or word combination as your inspiration.

For this month I am giving away this cute rubber stamp from Whimsy Stamps to one lucky randomly selected winner. The stamp is from my own collection and is already trimmed.
