Today's card I made with one of the cute images I recently colored from a Penny Black stamp set.

I colored the cuties up with copic markers and used a scallop die to cut it out.

A Whimsy Gnome & Watercolors

For today's card I created a watercolor wash background to use with the cute Bearded Gnome stamp from Whimsy stamps. I used Fall colors and a blue sky for the background. But they dried a little bit lighter than I wanted to. I know I need more practice when doing watercolor washes, but they are so much fun to do!

The image has been stamped onto xpress it blending card and colored with copic markers and then fussy cut. The fence was stamped directly onto the background after it was completely dry using versafine onyx ink, and I used watercolors again to color it and the flowers.
Sentiment is from the set "Honeycomb Greetings" and I used the small honeycomb die to cut it out and adhered it to the card using pop up tape. I finished it off by adding a little clear button and twine.

Whimsy Products can be found here:

I also used MS border punch, SU card stock, Mixed Media card stock
watercolor paints, copic markers, stickles glitter, twine, button

Wishing you...

I recently decided to color up each stamp from a cute Penny Black clear set, and I have plans to make them all into cards soon.  For now I was able to make two birthday cards. But today I am only showing you one, so I have something new to show you at a later time :-)

I did add both cards to my etsy card shop, so you can see the other one there if you'd like to.

This cutie was colored with copic markers and then fussy cut. I know, a lot of work, but I find it very relaxing to listen to my favorite music while fussy cutting. Papers are from Stampin Up. White card stock is heavy weight recollections. I used a punched glittered butterfly and some twine and more glitter for embellishments. The sentiment was directly stamped onto the card base.

Inside the card I did just a little bit of stamping and added a matching strip of designer paper. I like to leave lots of empty space on the inside for a personal message.

As mentioned above, this card is up for sale in my Etsy *card* shop. Along with the other one I created.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Shimmery Sparkles Faery

Happy Saturday :-)
Hope you're having a great weekend so far with some nice weather. I woke up bright and early today to some cooler weather and clouds, but now the sun is out with a few clouds scattered around. Love this type of weather!

I have a card to share today using one of the new Whimsy Stamps just released last week.
I went with a natural and gold look, so it's not very colorful, but I like how it turned out.
Image was colored using copic markers and fussy cut. Glitter was applied to the wings and wand. The original stamp has some little stars scattered around the wand, but I had to cut them away to make it work for my design. I couldn't find a designer paper that would have worked, so I simply made my own by stamping a sentiment and some music notes onto so saffron cards stock, then inked the edges using distress ink. Sentiments used are also from Whimsy Stamps from a couple years ago. I finished off the card by adding a scallop border to the left side and a little button with gold cord onto the little "flag" on the right side. Christmas tree die I used here was also just released.

You can find the Whimsy products here:
