Year In Review 2022 Blog Hop - Looking for Co-hosts

Hello everyone, 

Last year myself and a group of papercrafters hosted a "Year in Review" blog hop where we all shared our favorite creations of the year and I want to continue the fun once again this year for an end of the year post.

I have added a linky tool to the end of this post for those of you who would like to take part as a "co-host" this year. Any papercrafting blogger is welcome to join in this hop. When linking up please ensure there is an email address on your blog so that I can contact you with further info when we get closer to the time of the hop. 

New this year:

If you would like to take part please note that this year I would like to set an exact date when all our blog posts will go live (Friday December 30th by 6am Central Standard Time). So please have your posts scheduled for this day/time.

The linky tool is for all co-hosts and other participants alike, so please link up your post on December 30th. You don't need to set your alarm to link up your post at 6am, you can do this when you normally do your blogging, just be sure to have your post scheduled for this time as our posts will also include a list of all those participating as co-hosts. 

Like last year, I will email each participant the html code for the linky tool when we get closer to the time so you can insert it in your own blog posts if you like to. This will let your own followers link up their own "year in review" posts should they want to join us. 

Quick Details:

• Create a blog post featuring YOUR OWN favorite creations of 2022 to be scheduled on your blogs for Friday December30th 6am CST. 
• I will provide the html code for the linky tool to each person signing up as a co-host. It would be great if you included this in your post on your own blogs.
• Your blog followers are welcome to link up their own favorites during that time period should they decided to create their own "year in review" posts. The linky tool will be open for one week.
• You must have a blog to participate.
• This will be a blog hop, so please plan on visiting and commenting on each participant's "Year in Review 2022" post when time allows.
• This sign up is for any paper crafter with a blog. You don't have to have a papercraft only blog - as long as you have some favorite handmade cards to share in your review post you are welcome to sign up. 
• Optional: You are welcome to offer a small prize to a winner selected from those who commented on your post (including other co-hosts) but that is totally up to you and it is absolutely not needed to offer a prize in order to be a co-host. 
• The blog hop will run for one week (December 30th - January 5th)

You may choose any amount of favorites to share, I usually choose one of each month (top 12) but you could do a Top 5, or Top 3, or maybe you had one favorite creation that you were especially excited about creating in 2022. It is up to you how many you would like to highlight in this "end of the year" blog post.

I hope we will get at least 10 co-hosts to sign up, but will still hold the hop even if there are fewer co-hosts. 

Please use this linky tool to sign up as a co-host. This linky tool is set to remain open until December 10th but I may decide to close it sooner. 

Santa's Sleigh

A new theme starts today at Allsorts challenge and it's Pauline's turn to host. She chose the theme of "Add a Sentiment" so you can share absolutely anything as long as it includes a sentiment. Hope you'll join in with us for your chance to win. This week our prize comes from Oakwood - a Polkadoodles sentiment stamp set and coordinating paper pad.

And here is what I made using a new to me stamp set - Santa's Sleigh by Colorado Craft Company. 

This stamp set is part of their big and bold collection and fits a slimline card, but I trimmed part of the image off and made a traditional A2 sized card. I just love this image! The sentiment is part of the same set. 

I stamped with Versafine Onyx ink and colored with my Faber Castell Polychromos pencils. Then inked the card with Iced Spruce Distress Oxide ink and colored up the trees in the background with the same ink. 

Related Products:

A white Posca pen was used to flick some "snowflakes" onto the card. I added a strip of patterned paper from my stash and then tied some jute twine around. Finally I decided to add the die cut snowflakes made with Penny Black's Dancing Snowflakes die set. Frosted Lace stickles glitter was used on Santa's fur and the snow on the ground. Oh, I also used a corner rounder punch (similar option) on the bottom.

A Monochromatic Scene

Hello and welcome!

It's time already for a new challenge at Allsorts and this week it's Lolo's turn to host. Her theme is "Monochromatic" but with an option of Anything Goes so hope to see you all joining us for a chance to win a fabulous prize by Highlight Crafts.

Here is what I made using all stamps from Penny Black and I went with the monochromatic color brown. I did add a orange brown and reddish brown color for a little variation on the tree but I think it still counts as monochromatic...

I decided to use Penny Black stamp Snow Blanket for a scenic card, stamped with Walnut Stain Distress ink with a touch of Rusty Hinge and Aged Mahogany Distress inks. The silhouette rabbits, birds and branches in the foreground are all from the Penny Black set Nature's Friends.

The sentiment is from Penny Black's set Snippets. I layered it onto a piece of stenciled striped paper. The edges were distressed and inked before adhering to the brown card base.

Ellibelle's Crafty Wednesday - October Challenge

and instead of a challenge theme I will choose a Top Pick Twist but nobody knows what the twist will be (not even me) until the challenge closes as it will be inspired by your creations. Here is what I'm sharing this month. My husband and I celebrated our 24th wedding anniversary at the end of last month and this is the card I made for him :)

I started out by using washi tape around the edges of my card front and a piece to separate the two colors on the background. I inked with Stormy Sky and Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide inks, flicked some water onto the "stormy sky" part. 

The hearts frame die and tiny hearts are part of this Avery Elle die set but it may have been discontinued.

The image is from Penny Black's set Buddy and Duck, I used Distress inks to color the dog (Walnut Stain for his spots, Stormy Sky for his nose and Fired Brick for the Umbrella). He's been fussy cut and I used foam tape on the umbrella.

As mentioned previously, there is now a Top Pick Twist when it comes to my selection of Top Picks. Nobody knows what the twist will be - not even me - until the end of the month as the twist will be totally inspired by YOUR creations. This means the top picks will all have something in common.
