Featured Stamper 121 ---Rox71

Hello and happy Sunday! Today's featured stamper on SCS is Rox 71. Have you been to her gallery yet? Wow, lots of awesome stuff to find there. I chose to case this card because I really wanted to use this Panda bear image for a father's day card I needed. It is hard to tell by the picture, but if you look really close you can see the panda bear holding a new panda baby. The image is from the Digital Stamp Oasis.

I kept the same layout, but changed the colors. I also added a sentiment, which was computer generated and some ribbon and buttons to embellish.
Colors used are basic gray, bashful blue prints designer paper and GP white. The image was colored with copics. Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today! I hope you liked the card.

Penny Black Challenge #51 --- A sketch

Hello and happy saturday! I hope you are enjoying your weekend. I managed to make a card today for the Penny Black Saturday Challenge. Today it is a sketch challenge. You can see it here.I received this image from a swap a while ago. I am sorry, but I don't remember the name of the stamp. It is colored with prisma color pencils and baby oil and cut out with CM oval cutting system then layered on a scallop nesties oval.l. The designer paper is a retired paper from SU (spring showers). The other papers are SU's retired purely pomegranate, kiwi kiss and gp white. I embellished with a flourish (sizzix), butterflies (martha stewart punch) and some prima flowers. I also did some sewing around the edge and added stickles to the butterfly in the image. The sentiment is from SU's set "warm words".

Thanks so much for stopping by today. If you have time please visit the Digital Tuesday Challenge and play along for a chance to win some cute images from Dustin Pike.

SC220 Happy Father's day

Hello and happy Thursday to all of you!!
I made this card yesterday for the Sketch Challenge over on SCS.
The image is from the digital stamp oasis "Monkeytime". I thought it was perfect for a Father's day card. Since I don't have any father's day sentiments I made my own on the computer.Image was printed on Georgia pacific white 110lb card stock and colored with copics. I also used chocolate chip and kiwi kiss card stocks, and blue patterend by SU (retired spring showers). The striped DP is from my stash and I have no clue who the maker is. To finish the card off I added ribbon with hodgepodge hardware buckle and a couple of brads.
Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today. I hope you liked the card, and please visit the Digital Tuesday Challenge blog and play along for a chance to win some of Dustin Pike's digitals.

Digital Tuesday Challenge #8......Weddings

Hello and happy Tuesday. I hope you had a great long holiday weekend. This week Emma is the hostess over at the digital tuesday challenge and since May is the perfect wedding month she chose "Weddings" for this week's theme.
I knew right away I wanted to use the Lovebird image from the digital stamp oasis.
I added just a little bit of color to the birds and also kept the leaves and branch a lighter shade.
The colors I used are whisper white and the retired color cool caribbian. I used my very last piece of cool carribian card stock. The white card front was embossed with a cuttlebug folder and white sheer ribbon was added. I used rectangle nesties to frame the image. The sentiment is from SU's old sellabration set "happy harmony". To finish the card off I added the punched out butterflies and some rhinestones.
Sorry about the picture. The white colors just made it reflect.
Hope you get to play along this week, Dustin Pike is sponsoring the challenge again, and is giving away 3 of his adorable images to one lucky winner.

Featured Stamper #120 mkstampin74

Wow, what a gorgeous gallery she has. I just had to make time today to play. I decided to choose this beautiful card to case. I decided to use similar colors because they are just beautiful and I also kept the simple and beautiful sketch. I did end up adding some punched out flowers to the card and did paper piercing just above the ribbon.

The image is from the digital stamp oasis, mushroom lane-butterfly. (The 4 for 2 sale is still going on, it can be found here)
The image was colored using copics. I added stickles to the butterfly and the dots on the mushrooms. Did some doodling around the image (I actually wanted to sponge but couldn't find my mellow moss ink pad).
The designer paper is a retired christmas paper from stampin up. The sentiment is also from Stampin up (holidays and wishes). The border punch is by Martha Stewart (Lace border).
Thanks so much for visiting my blog today.
And don't forget to play along in this weeks DTC for a chance to win some super cute and beautiful images from Fred, she said.

Creatively Cute Blogger Challenge #7

Hello and happy Saturday. Hope you are having a GREAT Weekend. It is raining here, but that is ok, I have my all doors and windows open and enjoying the outdoor smell of rain.
Today I didn't feel like making a card with lot of stuff, so I thought Laura's challenge for the creatively cute blogger group would be perfect. It is to make a one-layer-card. Be sure to hop over to her blog to read all the details and to see the super candy she is giving away. Anyone can play along!
For my card I just used a piece of confetti craft 8.5 x 5.5 inches folded in half. I stamped the image in memento black ink and then used my versamarker to "color" in the hedgehog. Then I got out my stampin up chalks (which I haven't used in - like forever) and applied chalk to the versamarker. Used my white gel pen for highlighs. Sentiment is from SU's set Delight in life, also stamped with memento ink. To finish the card off I added the ribbon and some more white gel pen hightlights to the small flower in the sentiment. Hope you like today's card and I hope you decide to play along too.
Oh, and for those of you who like digistamps, don't forget to check out the Digital Tuesday challenge, sponsored by Fred she said this week.

Hello and happy Tuesday! I hope you are having a wonderful day. And I hope you will get a chance to create something wonderful!

Today's card I made for this week's digital tuesday challenge which is to use a tag or tags somewhere on your project. I love the look of tags but always forget about them.
I used the gorgeous Emma and the butterfly image from Fred, she said. It was so much fun to color! Fred, she said is also the sponsor of the DTC this week, and this image is one of the 3 things Tracey is giving away to one lucky winner. Click here to see all the other awesome samples by the rest of this super talented design team and to take a look at the two other sets Tracey is giving away.
I used copics to color the image. Card stocks used are orchid opulence, chocolate chip, mellow moss and so saffron (all by SU), and white card stock from Georgia Pacific.
The designer Paper is from Basic Grey, eva collection. I embellished with prima flowers with rhinestone brads, sizzix leaves, and butterfly with Martha Stewart punch. I also got out my Janome sew mini and did some simple stitching along the edge of the card.
Stickles was then applied to the belt on dress, the shoes and the butterflies. The sentiment is from SU's retired set "vases in vogue". I hope you like today's card, and I hope you will get a chance to play in this week's digital tuesday challenge.

Penny Black and saturday sketch challenge

Hello and happy Sunday. I hope you are having a wonderful day. Last night after everyone went to bed I decided to work on some challenges, and I ended up combining the Penny Black challenge #49 with this week's sketch saturday. There is a recipe for the penny black challenge, 3 flowers, 2 papers, 1 charm/brad.
I used one of my favorite Penny Black images "waterlily skiing". The image was heat embossed and colored with copics. I applied stickles to the waterlily and the butterfly. The red designer paper is from my new "sweet stack" by DCWV , the other designern paper is just from my scraps and I don't know who makes it. The sentiment is from Stampin Up's retired set "beautiful beach". I added a small charm to one of the flower centers and a rhinestone to the other one.
Thanks so much for visiting my blog today.

A couple reminders for you, if you haven't checked out this week's digital Tuesday challenge be sure to do that, the theme is "non-traditional shaped or folding cards" The DT has some gorgeous samples for you and you have a chance of winning a set of your choice from my grafico.
Second, if you would like to win some more "candy" you still have time to play along the Creatively Cute Blogger Challenge#6. You can read more about it in this post.

CCB06 Something Old and Something New

I am bumping this post to the top because I have included a picture of the goodies. Please be sure to post your card for this challenge to SCS using keyword CCB06 in order to be in the drawing., Anyone is welcome to play. Challenge is open until next wednesday.

Hello and happy thursday! I hope you are having a wonderful day!
Today is my turn to host a challenge for the Creatively Cute Blogger group I belong to. Anyone can play along, just post your card to SCS using CCB06 as your keyword. You have until Wednesday May 20th to post your card, I will choose a random winner. The winner will be announced on Thursday 5/21. The winner will receive a package of 36 sheets (4.5 x 6.5) designer paper by debbie mumm, package of square buttons, 3 clear studio g $1 stamp sets (fairy, mushrooms, sweet stuff), 3 ribbon flowers with pearl centers, self stick gems, 6 designer brads in antique silver (not pictured), and few prima flowers.
The challenge I chose is " Something old and something new".
Make a card using one of your older stamps or stamp sets (maybe even your very first stamp) that have been collecting dust, in combination with some of your new favorites. Or, you can use one of your new favorite images in combination with some old designer paper that has been neglected, punches you haven't used in a while, etc.
For my card I chose the retired set "Feathered Hope" by Stampin Up. It is one of the few SU sets I absolutely couldn't part with.
The image was colored with prismacolor pencils and baby oil. I cut it out with my CM oval cutting system and matted it on a oval nesties shape. Designer Paper is from a pack of blossoms and butterflies DCWV designer paper. I thought butterflies would be a perfect accent to this card, so I used my newest punch, the MS butterflies punch. Card stocks used are GP white and Pacific point. The sentiment is from SU's set Upsy daisy. I used the large oval punch to punch it out. To finish this card off, I added the white grosgrain ribbon and did some paper piercing. I used a white gel pen (SU) to add dots to the butterflies.
Thanks so much for visiting my blog today. I hope you will get a chance to play along.

Digital Tuesday Challenge #6 My Grafico

Hello and happy Tuesday!
Today we have another fun challenge for you over on the Digital Tuesday Challenge blog, and this time around it was Carisa's turn to come up with a challenge. She chose "Non-traditional folding cards or non-traditional shapes. I love this challenge and love all the samples the rest of the Design Team came up with. You have to go check them out!! We also have a new sponsor this week, MyGrafico is giving away one set of digistamps to one one lucky winner.
My grafico also generously let us designers use one of their sets, and this one was so much fun to work with.
I went with a gate fold card for the challenge. It is a pretty simple fold, I just used a 5.5 x 8.5 inches paper and scored at 2.125 on both sides. The band with the the spaceboy just slides off . I used my scallop circle punch by SU to create white clouds and I applied stickles to the edges. Images were colored with copics, the stars were stamped using craft ink. "happy birthday" sentiment is from a retired SU set, and I computer generated the inside part of the sentiment. Colors used are night of navy, real red and going gray. I embellished using ribbon and stickles.
I hope you like today's card, and I hope you will get a chance to play along this week so we can see what you all come up with.

3 Challenges - 1 card

Today's card card was made with 3 challenges in mind. First I used the gorgeous sketch from Sketch saturday. For the Dare U 2 digistamp you have to use gingham and stitching or your card and send your card to post-pals to brighten a sick child's face, and the card also fits the theme on Cute Card Thursday, make a card that cheers someone up or makes someone's day. I love when I can combine challenges.
For my card I used the digital image "Susie squirrel in the rain" from the Digital Stamp Oasis.
[There is a sale going on right now, get 4 images for the price of 2, plus you get to choose the images.
(ok, commercial over LOL)]

The image was colored with copics and cut out. I colored just the flower a second time and adhered it with dimensionals. The grass was made by simply tearing.
I found that designer paper in my scrapbook tote that hasn't been touched for a long time! Other papers used are creamy caramel, kiwi kiss, basic black and GP white. The kiwi kiss and caramel papers were embossed with the big kick and cuttlebug folders.
I embellished with prima flowers, brads, gingham ribbon and did stitching around the edges. The sentiment is from SU's retired set "vases in vogue. I punched it out with SU's oval punches.
I hope you like today's card.
And be sure to also check out this week's digital tuesday challenge "Thank a teacher" and play along for chance to win some free digis.
Plus, the new creatively cute blogger challenge this time around is "something old and someting new" . There will be a price too.
Have a fun day!!

Hello and happy Tuesday and time for another fun challenge over at the Digital Tuesday Challenge Blog. Anjou is the hostess this week and she chose the theme "Thank a teacher". Isn't it just amazing the job they do every single day!!
For my card I used the new image from the Digital Stamp Oasis "A day in school". I printed it out on GP 110lb card stock and colored with copics. I cut out the squirrel (without tail) and the desk for a little 3D effect. The papers used are basic black, creamy caramel, GP white, designer paper by SU. The sentiments are from SU's retired Vases in vogue. I embellished with photo corners which were made using a cuttlebug die, prima flowers, silver brads and black gingham ribbon, and I applied stickles to the dress.

The image is a new digistamp from the Digital Stamp Oasis. I colored it using copics. Designer paper is from SU. I added stickles to the pink stripes of the Designer paper.
Sentiment is from SU's retired set "beautiful beach".
I embellished with a ribbon, flowers from the flower trio punch and dew drops, and added some paper piercing to the yellow designer paper.

Friday Sketchers 50 with Emma the Mermaid

Hello and Happy Saturday!! I hope you are having a great day. I had a chance to play with my brand new digi-set today (ok, technically I started yesterday but didn't get very far).
I made this card for this week's Friday Sketchers . I used Emma the Mermaid and friends set from Fred, she said. I knew I had to have these images the minute I saw them.
Emma the mermaid was colored with pearl ex powder and futuro floor wax. I just put the futuro in an aquapainter and picked up the powder and colored with it. I love the shimmer it gives and I thought it would be perfect for this little mermaid.Papers I used are chocolate chip, GP white, tempting turquoise, soft sky and a retired DP by SU.
I sponged the white edges with tempting turquoise ink. The seahorse, star fish and shells come from the same digital set, I cut them out, colored with copics and applied stickles. I used them for my embellishments. I also added a couple of prima flowers with a rhinestone brad. Finished card measures approx. 4.5 x 8.25 inches.

Thanks so much for vising my blog today, I hope you get a chance to create something fun today too. Oh, and if you haven't checked out this week's challenge yet over at the Digital Tuesday Challenge, be sure to do that. There are only a few days left to play along for a chance to win 3 of Dustin Pike's cute images.
