Penny Black - a message from above

Happy Sunday everyone! Hope you enjoyed your weekend as much as I did. We had some beautiful weather here in Illinois, a little windy, but beautiful. And today it looks like we're having another gorgeous day. I just love fall-ish weather, even though it isn't actually fall yet.

Penny Black @ all sorts is still in search of a couple design team members. The first card I made for the call can be seen here.
Today I am showing you a card I made for their new challenge for the month of September. The theme this month is Punches. Easy, right. I use punches all the time.
The stamp used is called "a message from above". It was so much fun to color!!
Again, I used my derwent coloursoft pencils and blended with baby oil. The face, feet and hands were colored using copic markers.

I used a flourish stamp to stamp around the image, then applied stickles here and there around the edges. Embellished with some prima flowers, brads, black gingham ribbon, sizzix leaves and some more stickles on the designer paper, flower centers and brads. Then of course I had to do some machine stitching to finish it off. The sketch was inspired by this week's Stamp with fun sketch. But I added some extra element to it.

My card also fits this week's Stamp Something challenge(theme: something cute) and this week's Alphabet challenge(theme: s is for scallops).

That's it for today, be sure to check back here tuesday for a new project.

Have a GREAT day,
