Beauty is in the eye of the beholder...

Happy December and thanks so much for visiting my blog today!

A new month means a new challenge over at
Penny Black at All Sorts.
Our theme this month is

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

We have some amazing prizes up for grabs again sponsored by the official Penny Black Company. To have a chance at winning all you have to do is make a card using a Penny Black Stamp for the main image and then follow our theme.

For my card I used the stamp "High Spirits". What a fun stamp to color!!

My image has been colored with derwent coloursoft and then some copics for the skin. The flourish in the corners comes from a clear Penny Black stamp set. The sentiment is from a retired Stampin Up set.

I thought for our theme this month I'll go with a simpler card, using simpler designer paper and very few embellishments to focus on this gorgeous image.

The papers are from stampin up, white card stock from couture. I embellished with a flower which was made of a simple punched circle (distressed the edges),added a punched out flower (martha stewart punch) and then a button with some ribbon as the flower center. I distressed all of the edges and did some sewing with my janome mini sewing machine. To finish it off, I added some star dust stickles glitter. Also, the flower that the fairy is holding, and one of her wings, were stamped twice and cut out and then adhered with dimensionals, but it's kind of hard to see in the picture.

If you have any Penny Black stamps why not join us? You can enter up to three times with a new project for more chances to win!! And if you played last month, be sure to scroll down on the challenge blog to see if you were one of the lucky winners.

I'd also like to enter my card to these challenges:
I hope you liked the card. I will be back again on Friday with a new card for Stamp Something using a brand new (to me) stamp that I got clear from the UK.

Have a great day everyone!
Ellie.
