Whimsy Stamps October Rubber and Die Release and Showcase day 1

Welcome to the Whimsy Stamps October 2012 rubber stamp and die RELEASE (Holiday Collection Part2)!

Today, Whimsy Stamps is releasing several wonderful new rubber stamps; stamp sets,  Shapeology dies,  Shape EZ templates and 2 new gorgeous 6x6 paper packs. And -  something new and exciting - beautifully pre-colored and pre-cut "Whimsy Prints", perfect to use on all kinds of handmade crafts! These new goodies are available to buy right now from the Whimsy Stamps store along with all your Whimsy favorites.

From today until October 30th the Whimsy DT and Special Guests will be showcasing these new products with a daily mini blog hop. Each mini blog hop has a new release prize hidden somewhere along the way and you have 24hrs to enter each prize draw by leaving a comment on every blog listed for that day. At the end of release week (Wednesday October 31st) we will post a Release Round-Up on the Whimsy blog. This will include a selection of DT work from the new release week together with a complete list of winners from the daily mini blog hops.

For today's card I used the super sweet stamp
"Sheltering Love" from the Crissy Armstrong collection.

I stamped the image a couple of times because I wanted to pop up the cute little cubs. The mama bear's hat and scarf were paper pieced using papers from Michelle Roos Designs (available only at Whimsy Stamps), which were also just released today. I created a little bit of a hill with white card stock and my old creative memories cutting system. It was adhered onto another sheet of beautiful paper from Whimsy Stamps Michelle R. designs papers. I just love this paper so much, thought it would be perfect to  use as a background scene for the bears.

The sentiment is from the set "Holiday Mini Tickets" from Whimsy's Raindrop Echo Designs.  The mini ticket die was used to cut it out. You can find this die and many others in Whimsy's Shapeoplogy die section.
It's a pretty simple card, I simple embellished with some twine and did some sewing. To finish it off I added a little bit of glitter.  Hope you like it!

Don't forget - to be entered into today's mini blog hop prize draw, be sure to leave a comment on ALL of the DT posts participating today!

Since this post is scheduled and I probably won't  be online to update it, (having fun with my cousin visiting me from Germany!), I will just leave you a link to the complete list of participating Designers.
You can find the compete list

For a full reveal of this month’s fabulous release, please visit the Whimsy blog. Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you enjoy our new release!

Have a great day and happy hopping :-)
