Happy Friday! I have two cards to share today, using stamps from Just For Fun Rubber Stamps, that I received in my latest Design Team packet.
First up, I created a mountain scenery card. Although I love the look of this card, I am not in love with the way my ink pads stamped. I don't know why I couldn't get a good solid impression...if anyone has any good ink recommendations for solid stamps, please let me know!

I used more stamps from my last DT packet for the card above. Loved that large background stamp so I had to add it to my design team choices, and the boat is just great to use for masculine cards, so I had to have that one too :-)

Both fab cards, that little scene just makes you want to slow down, and the other makes a great masculine card.
ReplyDeleteWith regards to inks I use a premium pigment ink (great for embossing) from Dovecraft. StazOn solvent which is quick drying and works on most surfaces but you need to clean your stamps afterwards, and finally Memento. This is also quick drying and fade resistant, I particularly love the Rich Cocoa colour as it can give a softer appearance especially on vintage/shabby chic style.

ReplyDeleteWhat fabulous masculine cards! I don't have any suggestions with stamping solid images, I have the same problem. Most of the time, I just take a marker to the solid image after I stamped it.
ReplyDeleteThese are both great cards. I love the background on the second card so much and I needed to see the sentiment you used on the first card. From the internet I have heard - leave your stamp on the paper for a bit to let the ink soak in and also it helps with intricate stamps to put your paper on a foam pad. That way you can push better. Hope this helps, not that I always get a clean image either! Don't push too hard tho or you will have lines.
