Summer Pony

Happy Friday :-)

I spent some time creating today, and finished this cute card using Whimsy Stamps' Summer Pony image from the Crissy Armstrong collection. I colored it earlier this week, but didn't get a chance until today to finish the card. 


My Faber Castell Polychromos were already out so I colored this image with the pencils and blended with baby oil. I inked the edges with distress inks. Sentiment is from the Friendship Tickets set. (Edited to add - I cannot find this stamp set in the Whimsy Shop. Might have been retired. But be sure to check out the rest of the amazing ticket sentiments.) I used a simple circle punch to punch it out. Some glitter was added to the flowers and the butterflies. 
Designer paper is very old from Stampin Up. I sewed around the edges to finish the card.

    This is so gorgeous Ellie! Your blending with baby oil is such a pro! I just learned about this technique but have to say I got a long way to go before I can get to this stage like you. Love your card. Simply gorgeous and a big fan of Whimsy Stamps. Have a lovely weekend Ellie.
