Whimsy Stamps - January Release and Showcase - Day 3

Happy Friday :-)
It's day 3 of this month's Whimsy Stamps rubber and clear stamp release and showcase. Be sure to visit the Whimsy blog (if you haven't already) to find out how you can enter into one of the 3 prize draws for a chance to win a Whimsy gift certificate.
Today I am sharing a card using the super cute "Woodland Owl" illustrated by Lee Holland, Whimsy's newest illustrator.

Stamped onto express it blending card and colored using copic markers.
I used the following colors for the owl
face and belly: E40, E41, E43
feathers and head: E41, E43, W5 and a little bit of W6
beak: W5 and W9
branch: E41, E43, YG91 and YG93.

I used a simple sketch, image has been fussy cut to add over the circle. I embellished with some twine and glitter in the flower centers. I thought this image would be perfect for a "get well" type card, and since I never have any of those on hand (although I have about a gazillion other cards in my collection) I decided to make this one get well themed. The sentiment is from an older set - Everyday Moments.

I am entering my card here:
Crafting With An Attitude - Anything Goes
Crafty Girls Creations - Always Anything Goes
Fresh Brewed Designs -  Anything Goes
Sisterhood of Crafters  - Something Old, Something New (I used old papers and new image stamp)
And that is all for today. Thank you so much for visiting! Good luck with the prize draws to those of you who are entering.
