Cherry Blossoms

Happy Thursday! I'm a little late posting my card for today, I actually wanted to post it yesterday but ran out of time. I don't know what's up with this, but ever since I quit my daytime job over a year ago, I seem to have a lot less time than what I used to have. Sometimes I wonder how on earth I had ever managed to play in all the splitcoast stampers challenges years ago, when I was working even more ...

Well better late than never...here is this week's Whimsy stamps creation using the gorgeous stamp Calantha from the Mi Ran collection.
She's been colored using copic markers and I applied stickles glitter to the wings. Unfortunately it is barely visible in the photo.
I knew I wanted to use this paper pack, so I colored her to match the papers using shades of pink and gray.
I did some sewing with my Janome sewing machine along the edges and added the sentiment in form of a little tag with a staple. Some silver twine was then tied onto the staple. The sentiment is from the set "Everyday Moments" also from Whimsy stamps.
A little layered prima flower with silver brad were added as embellishment, and that completed the card.
