Polka Dots and Lace

Good morning. Finally I have something new to show you. Sorry for the lack of posts, we decided to take a last minute 2-day trip to a Wisconsin water park last week before the kids head back to school this week.  Had lots of fun, as usual. We wanted to do some hiking too, but were surprised by a torrential down poor. I knew rain was on the way, but didn't expect it until the evening. Instead we drove home sooner than planned, but made a stop to stretch our legs at the House on the Rock which turned into a 4 hour visit. Definitely the weirdest museum I ever visited...

It's time for some mid month inspiration over at the Penny Black and More challenge blog. Our theme is Anything goes with a stamp, so come join us for a chance to win one of the wonderful prizes. Still a couple weeks left until the August challenges closes.

I inked up one of the cuties from the set Happy Days. Colored with copic markers on xpress it blending card and then fussy cut. Dimensionals were used to add the images to the lace designer paper. Wink of Stella was added to the dress, shoes, bow, icing and table cloth, you can see the shimmer better in the photos below.

I kept the card in a CAS style, but did add a couple prima flowers with pearls and some white twine. Machine sewing was done along the image panel.
I used an old SU lace background stamp on the inside, and stamped another sentiment from the set Sprinkles and smiles.
Card has been added to my etsy shop, if you are interested.

Thanks so much for visiting, hope you have a fantastic day!!

  13. Hi Marilyn, I didn't see any other way to contact you, but wanted to answer your question and hope you'll check back here. The sentiments are all from the set called "Sprinkles and Smiles" by Penny Black. Hope I could help.
