Sweet Wishes

I made this card a couple of days ago to play in the new Double D Challenges which is "Something  you can find on a menu", and finally found the time to share it here on my blog.

As I mentioned in an earlier post this week (or maybe last week), I am trying hard to use up some designer papers this year, because I have sooooo many scraps and cut pieces of pattern papers. Here I used some designer paper from an old paper stack by DCWV.

The cute image from the set  Loads of Love has been stamped with Memento Tuxedo  ink and I used my Copic  markers for coloring. A Wink of Stella brush was used to add some clear glitter to the cupcake's frosting and I used Spun Sugar distress ink sponged along the edges of the white card stock. The sentiment from the set Sweet Wishes, also by Penny Black, has been stamped with Memento Tuxedo ink as well and edges sponged with the same shade of pink ink.

The designer paper is from DCWV's  Glitter Mat Stack that I've had for a long time and used as the card front for my image and sentiment. I embellished with a button and some jute twine

I am sharing my card here:

  12. Too cute! I have so much dp too I will never be able to use it up. It seems most card designers don't even use dp anymore and just water-color their background. I don't like water coloring, so I will just have to be out of style and keep using my dp.
