Penny Black and More - October Challenge

It's the start of a new theme at the Penny Black and More challenge blog. Hope you'll check it out and play along. Our theme this month is Pretty in Pink. Some wonderful prizes are up for grabs again, this time from Penny Black, Lost Coast Designs and Visible Image. Be sure to visit the challenge blog to see the great prizes!

I started out by heat embossing the Penny Black flower stamp Bejeweled using Versamark ink and white embossing powder. Distress inks were used to on the background, Spun Sugar first, then I used Worn Lipstick for a deeper shade of pink. The background stamp is from a retired set by Whimsy Stamps. This can be done with any unmounted script stamp. Simply ink only portion of the stamp and then holding and bending the unmounted stamp you can control where you want the words showing without using a stamping block.

Sentiment is from My Favorite Things Label Sentiment set. It's also retired, I like this set as an alternative option. The sentiment was stamped using Versafine Clair Nocturne ink. Silk ribbon was tied around the card front before layering it onto pink cardstock.
