Fashion Over Forty: Slouchy Vintage Rose Sweater for a Comfy Casual Fall Look

Happy Friday! Last week I decided it was time to bring out my fall clothes (I don't have a big enough closet to keep them in there all year 'round) and finally put away the summer clothes with a few summer pieces still in there, because - you just never know here in the Midwest :)  Although it's been staying very autumnal throughout the week. Perfect sweater weather!

The sweater in today's outfit post was purchased back in April but this was my first time actually wearing it. I love this dusty shade of pink for this time of the year.

Please note: This post includes some affiliate links meaning I may earn a small commission if you purchase something through the links. As always this is at no cost to you. Thanks so much for supporting this blog.

Unfortunately this sweater is sold out, but if you're looking for some new fall sweaters, do check out Nordstrom - they just added new markdowns to their Sales page. I linked some of my favorites at the end of this post, and there are also some great ones at Target with a few of my favorites linked below as well.

This is a slouchy fit drop sleeve sweater and I had to go down a size, this is the XXS and it's still a loose fit.  I actually considered sending it back when I first got it, but really love this color and it's 100% cotton so it feels really nice against the skin.

I paired the sweater with boyfriend Jeans by NYDJ. These are an older style but Old Navy has some great choices of boyfriend jeans this year and I also found some at great prices at Nordstrom Rack

I thought this simple look could use a pattern so I switched to my Sakroots pattern messenger bag which I've had for several years. It might still be
available on Amazon

I've talked about these Taos slip on sneakers in last week's outfit post. It's what I'm currently reaching for because they are super comfortable and perfect for this time of the year. This style is also available on Amazon

Below are a few of my favorite sweater finds from the current Nordstrom Sale. These are up to 50% off and remember Nordstrom always has free shipping and free return shipping

I've also been snooping around the Target website and found some great sweaters there too. In fact I ordered this cardigan in the gray stripe (not pictured below as I wanted to focus on just sweaters today.)

When ordering from Target, remember you get free shipping at $35.

    1. Loving this color, I need to find a sweater like this not quite as slouchy. I feel a bit sloppy wearing it out and about :)
