Hello everyone, it's time for a new Garden Party (No. 8) to start and all are invited to attend with a "Garden" themed post. Remember, anything in or from a garden goes, this can be any type of craft, photography (from a garden), garden tips, garden weddings and parties, etc. As always the linkup is at the end of the post. And don't forget to check who made the top picks from the last party. My apologies to all of you as I fell so behind with commenting but finally got the chance to visit all your blogs now.
Here is what I made using stamps from Tracy Evans Boutique Designs.
I don't have any pumpkins growing in my garden this year but I did once before (accidentally by leaving a pumpkin for the squirrels to enjoy over winter and one of the seeds grew a plant :) I do have birds and cats (my own cat as well as some neighbourhood cats roaming around).
I started with my
stamp positioning tool and the large pumpkin from the Tracy Evans set
A Myriad of Designs. I used a mix of yellow-ish and orange Distress inks/Oxides and green for the stem. Next I used the ivy which is part of the same set. I slightly bent the ivy stamp so it wouldn't stamp in a straight line. Next I stamped the cat from the set
Numerical Cats which also included "October" using Versafine Onyx ink. The little bird is from the set
Myriad of Designs as well. I thought about some stenciling on the background but couldn't decide on a stencil so instead I dug through my Tracy Evans stamps and decided on using the background stamp -
Art Notes which was released through Aall and Create and retired. If you are interested in any of these stamps, they are available in the US from
Simon Says Stamp. The retired Art Notes can be purchased at
Frantic Stamper. Fran is unfortunately closing her shop and is no longer purchasing any new inventory so the newer stamps aren't available there. Of course if you are in the UK you can get the Tracy Evans Boutique Designs stamps directly from Tracy's shop.
I framed my scene with black cardstock then a white base. To finish the card I used a black Posca pen for some black spatter and stamped a couple more of the ivy leaves under the cat's paws.
I am sharing the above card here:
I also decided to make an ATC since I had stamped the pumpkin a second time. A similar design to the card above using the same stamps and inks. I am starting to love the miniature cards and have already made 5 this year. Those of you who make/collect these... how do you store them?
This post includes some affiliate links, meaning I may earn a small commission if you purchase something through the links. As always, this is at no cost to you. Thank you so much for your support!
I am sharing the ATC with the challenges below:

A delightful card and ATC. Thanks for also taking part at Tag-along (and ATCs) and Stamping Sensations challenges. I store my ATCs in an a4 plastic binder sheet specially made to size for ATC storage and they fit into a ring binder. I actually bought them long ago to do pocket art, which i have never got around to!
ReplyDeleteLiebe Ellie,
Ordner angelangt.
Herbstliche Grüße
von Anke
Both so nicely done to reflect Autumn days Ellie, that Cat is a certainly has a look of sophistication. Many thanks for sharing these lovely makes with us at Stamping Sensations and Tag-Along (and ATC's) challenges.

Both of these autumnal projects are lovely Ellie. xxx
ReplyDeleteFabulous card and ATC, like the image and your backgrounds are always fabulous. Great idea to make an ATC also when you have your design planned!
ReplyDeleteThank you Ellie for sharing your pumpkin card (and ATC) with FarmQuest General Store!! At FQGS, we love to see those rural settings like gardens, orchards, farmers markets, etc. The stamping and inking was wonderfully used! Great projects! -- Becca
ReplyDeleteI use to exchange ATCs in a FB group and I still have mine displayed on a board with two twine suspended rows. Using little mini clothespins as clips is how I have them. The board is hung just behind my computer monitor and printer, so I see them all the time.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Ellie, for choosing my card for one of the top picks. Congratulations to all!
ReplyDeleteI just love your ATC Ellie. The colours are so vibrant and perfect for Halloween and Autumn. I store my ATCs in a pocket wallet I made or you can store them in the plastic storage sheets from Amazon. You can also used them as embellishments in Junk Journals.
ReplyDeleteThanks for playing along with us at Tag-along (and ATC's) this month.

Stunning pumpkins Ellie, the colouring on them is fabulous and looks so artistic. I store ATC’s in A4 size pocket wallets which are divided into 9 clear pockets, and fit into a ring binder. As others have said they are available from Amazon. I also use individual ATC clear wallets which protect individual ATC’s - they come in packs of 100 and are really cheap - again from Amazon. I find they are good when trading, as they allow you to secure ATC’s inside an envelope. ( Eg inside a greeting card) with tape so that they don’t bunch up and hence affect postage. Xx
ReplyDeleteWOW! Both projects are beautifully done my friend! Great job ... very inspiring! Thanks so much for joining in the fun at our Two Old Bats challenge! Good Luck and we hope you’ll come back often.
