Can you believe it's already August!!! I just don't know, but time seems to be flying. Only a few more weeks and the kids will be back to school again. And it will my little girl's first year at an all day school :-(

Since it's the first of the month it is time for our monthly digital release blog hop for

Whimsy Stamps.

As you might know since we have such a big team, we are having only part of the Designers do the hop while the other part shows off projects done with the new releases on the Whimsy Stamps Inspirations blog. There are gorgeous new digis from Crissy Armstrong, Moon Cookie Gallery and Stamp Art Designs.

This month I am not part of the hop, but if you'd like to hop along for a chance at winning, simply visit the Whimsy Inspirations blog for the hop order and to view the rest of team B's cards.

Here is what I made.

I used "Back to School Bart" by Crissy Armstrong. I thought this would make a great card for my daughter's start in big school, so I colored the dragon pink after her favorite dragon Cassie from the kids show "Dragon Tales".

I used papers from Bo Bunny and card stock is from stampin up. The sentiment is also from a retired stampin up set. I embellished with a button and some thread, gingham ribbon, and did some machine sewing and paper piercing. Oh, and the grass was made using a Martha Stewart Punch.

Here is a close up of the image, it's been colored with derwent coloursoft, sky background sponged with soft sky ink and I used a torn piece of paper towel as a little cloud template.
