A special Penny Black at All Sorts Project

Today I am showing you a card I made with the kit that was sent to me by Brenda, our leader at Penny Black at All Sorts challenge blog.

What a nice surprise it was when she announced that she sent the same card making kit to each one of the team members (excluding the image of course), and we were all to make a card with the kit (each choosing our own Penny Black stamp) to see what we all come up with. What a fun idea!!

I forgot to take a photo of my kit before I started making my card, but this is pretty much what we all got, except maybe the papers were just a little bit different, but they came from the same paper pack.

And here is my creation using these elements.

Photobucket

I had no idea what stamp to use for this vintage set. Finally decided on this hedgehog with flowers from the clear set "Wonderful". It has been stamped with stazon ink and then colored with Ranger distress inks.
I believe the note on the package from Brenda said, the designer papers are from Basic Grey.

The "hinges" and "clock" were brown on one side and black on the other, I decided to use mine with the brown side. I embellished with some baker's twine, brads, of course the flowers and seam binding that were included in the kit (I sponged the flowers and inked the seam binding with the distress ink pad. In the corner of the main image I have used a stamp from the set "lavish flourishes"from Whimsy Stamps (raindrop echo collection). The flourish that is peeking out from behind the flowers was made using the "vines" Shapeology Die from Whimsy Stamps.

I would love to enter this card to the following challenges:

And that is all for today. If you have a moment please stop by the rest of the Design Team to see what they created using the kit.

And then just a quick reminder to let you know again, that our next challenge will go live on the first SUNDAY of November, hope to see you all play along, and don't forget you will be able to enter using any kind of rubber/clear stamp, it doesn't have to be a Penny Black stamp!
And don't forget you still have time to enter your card into this month challenge, lots of prizes are up for grabs!

Thanks so much for stopping by,
enjoy your day!
