Monochromatic Card with Silhouette Stamping using an old CTMH set

Hello and welcome!

It's time for a new theme at Allsorts challenge! Wendy is hosting this week and she picked the theme of "For the Love of your Life" with an option of "Anything Goes", so feel free to link up all your new crafty makes for a chance to win! This week we have a pretty Bee Crafty floral stamp as well as 3 digi stamps from our sponsor Ruth Hamilton Designs

Before I get to my card, I wanted to mention a special challenge we have planned on September 11th (next Saturday) in memory of our dear design team member Kath who sadly passed away a few weeks ago. September 11th would have been her challenge theme .We are still having that theme but with a slight amendment to celebrate her style of crafting with some special prizes. We hope you will join us then for "A Challenge for Kath". I have never met Kath in person, but have really enjoyed getting to know her a bit over the years of blogging and do miss seeing her around blogland so much!

I recently stumbled onto some old CTMH (Close to My Heart) catalogs at a thrift store and having never had one of those catalogs, I decided to purchase them. They were only 10 cents a piece so of course I had to get them!

So this is how I discovered this beautiful stamp set called Childhood Portraits. As it's from an old catalog this stamp set is no longer available directly from CTMH but I quickly found one on eBay and made my purchase. I just love these cute silhouette images so much! PS: There are a few more listings of this set on eBay!

I inked a simple monochromatic background using Chipped Saphire Distress ink with a die cut circle mask in place for a moon.

My stamp platform was used to stamp the silhouettes with Versafine Onyx ink. All stamps besides the sentiment are part of this set and it even includes some more silhouette kids.

The sentiment is from the Penny Black set So Very Much
