Digital Tuesday Challenge #60 - Cute People

Happy Tuesday everyone and welcome to another Digital Tuesday Challenge!
Sandy is our hostess this week and she has chose the challenge

Cute People

What a fantastic challenge as I had so many cute people to choose from!! I decided to use a digi from Phindy's Place. I was lucky enough to be the winner of the $8 gift certificate to Phindy's store a few weeks ago, and got to choose some images. They are all so cute so I decided to buy a couple extras too. If there were only more hours in a day so I could use them all sooner!!I made this card for my daughter to give to her daddy for father's day. I just love this image because it very much resembles my almost 4-year old when she puts on daddy's big work boots.
I colored the image using copic markers. The papers are from bo bunny, it's actually a double sided paper. Embellished with some ribbon, hard ware and brads.

My card also fits this week's Phindy's Place Challenge (Theme: masculine card). Don't know if my card qualifies as a masculine card but it will be given to a male.

If you have some cute people digis, why not join our challenge this week. My Grafico is our repeat sponsor this week and is giving away one stamp set and 30%off an order to one lucky winner. If you haven't checked out their site be sure to do so. There are lots and lots of sets to choose from from lots of different designers.

Recipe:
  • stamps: digi-Phindy's Place, sentiment -SU
  • Paper: Stampin Up, my minds eye, white copic paper
  • Ink: HP inkjet, chocolate chip, tempting turquoise, copic markers
  • Accessories: Hodgepodge Hardware, ribbon, brads (all SU), stardust stickles glitter

Hedgie Chit Chat

Happy Sunday everyone! Hope you all had a wonderful weekend with lots of sunshine. I sure did!
I even found some time to make a couple of cards.

I felt like using one of my Penny Black stamps, Chit Chat. It's the first Penny Black stamp I ever bought and still my very favorite one, but haven't used it for some time now.
I stamped it on my brand new couture 80lb copic blending paper that I just received from I heart papers. I wasn't sure if I should get Neenah or PTI and then I read about couture paper. Since it was the least expensive with shipping and all I decided to give it a try. Love how the copics colored on this paper, but I haven't had a chance yet to try it out with digistamps.

The challenge at the Penny Black challenge blog this week is "lots of dots" so I dug out some old olive prints designer paper so I could play along. I kept the card pretty simple, and embellished only with a little bit of ribbon, a butterfly and a couple of pearls. Of course I had to add some stickles for a little bit of sparkle too.
My card also fits this week's Stamp Something Challenge (theme: two of something-I have used 2 pearls, or 2 critters).

Thanks so much for visiting my blog today. Hope you liked the card. Be sure to check back tuesday for another cute card that I made for another cute challenge!
Have a wonderful day!

Digital Stamp Oasis sponsoring Totally Papercrafts

Happy Friday everyone! Hope everyone's having a GREAT day!

I meant to post this early this morning, but then my son woke up with a temperature and he is home from school so I did not have the chance to do as I planned.

Digital Stamp Oasis is sponsoring "Totally Papercrafts" challenge blog this week and Emma asked if I'd like to join them as a guest designer for the week. Of course I said yes.
The challenge is an inspiration challenge and here is the inspiration piece. Isn't it delicious.

Of course I had to use my Sammy squirrel eats strawberries digi :-)

I used the sketch from sketch saturday.
My card also fits the papertake weekly challenge, with the theme flowers.

Thanks so much for visiting me today. Hope you liked the cards. And hopefully you'll be able to play this week's Totally Papercrafts challenge too for a chance to win some images from the Digital Stamp Oasis.

Vellum - Digital Tuesday Challenge #59

Happy Tuesday and welcome to another Digital Tuesday Challenge!

Our challenge this week, chosen by Michelle is

Vellum.

You don't have to print your digi on vellum, as long as you use it somewhere on your creation is fine with us. I hope you'll play along. If you are like me you have some vellum somewhere in your stash but haven't used it in - like forever! Glad I had the chance to dig it out!

And here's my card. My vellum is the embossed circle behind the image, and I also stamped the sentiment on vellum.

My card uses the image "Mushroom Lane - butterfly" from Digital Stamp Oasis. It's one of my favorites. I don't know why, but I have really been using many images with mushrooms recently. I just love mushroom images I suppose.

Papers are from stampin up and K&company. I adhered the image to a vellum circle that I embossed using a cuttlebug folder. The sentiment was also stamped on a piece of vellumd and attached to the card front. I planned on adding some dew drops to hide the glue dots, but forgot to do that before I took the picture. I embellished with some red ribbon, prima flower and flourish, and of course I had so add some stickles too. Oh, and I decided the card needed some zigzag stitches, so I got out my janome mini sewing machine.

My card also fits the ABC challenge (theme: unused stash), La-La Land (theme: anything goes), Crafty Ann's Challenge blog (theme: anything goes also), Cute Card Thursday (theme: for someone special).

I hope you like the card. Be sure to check out the rest of the Design Team's work, it's just gorgeous! Hope you can play along this week for a chance to win 3 digis from the Digital Stamp Oasis.

Eastern Influence

Happy Sunday everyone! Hope you're enjoying your last day of the weekend!
I had a great weekend so far and even found some time to stamp yesterday.

Below is a card that was inspired by a recent card on Andrea Walford's Blog. I love her blog, she makes the most beautiful cards using stampin up. If you aren't familiar with her blog you have to go see it.

I used the stamp set "Eastern Influences". I've had it for some time now but haven't used it much since I am more drawn to the cute style.

I used copic markers for coloring. The sentiment is from another Stampin Up set (retired) - Beautiful Beach. I just love this sentiment and the font.
I embellished it simply with a scallop border, ribbon and a button with some thread.

Thanks so much for visiting me today. Hope you liked the card.
Have a great day,

Recipe:
Stamps: Eastern Influences, beautiful beach (both SU)
Paper: Stampin Up
Ink: chocolate chip, copics
Accessories: Grosgrain ribbon, button, linen thread
Tools: Scallop border punch (SU)

Cute Mouse

Hi everyone and happy sunday! Hope you all had a wonderful weekend. It's been pretty chilly here in Illinois this weekend so we didn't spent much time outside. That gave me a chance to work on a couple of cards. The one below I actually worked on for quite some time, glad I finally got it finished.

The image is another cutie I got from MelJen Designs. It has been printed out with my HP inkjet printer on some type of copic paper, then heat embossed using clear embossing powder. I had so much fun coloring it!!

Papers are from my stash, card base is riding hood red from SU. I made the flowers using some punches and buttons and sizzix leaves die. I applied some stickles to the flowers on the image and flower centers on the designer paper. Did some stitching too. The sentiment is from SU (warm words).

I used a sketch from last week's Stamp with Fun challenge but it is too late to enter my card to that challenge.

The card also fits some other challenges:
A spoon full of sugar (theme: furry friends)
Color Dare (color theme: Breezy pumpkin red kisses -colors below)

Totally Papercrafts (theme: stitching)
Pile it on (theme: cute and cuddly)

Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my blog! I hope you liked the card. I have another cute one scheduled for tuesday so be sure to come back to check it out.
