I colored the cuties up with copic markers and used a scallop die to cut it out.

A Whimsy Gnome & Watercolors

For today's card I created a watercolor wash background to use with the cute Bearded Gnome stamp from Whimsy stamps. I used Fall colors and a blue sky for the background. But they dried a little bit lighter than I wanted to. I know I need more practice when doing watercolor washes, but they are so much fun to do!

The image has been stamped onto xpress it blending card and colored with copic markers and then fussy cut. The fence was stamped directly onto the background after it was completely dry using versafine onyx ink, and I used watercolors again to color it and the flowers.
Sentiment is from the set "Honeycomb Greetings" and I used the small honeycomb die to cut it out and adhered it to the card using pop up tape. I finished it off by adding a little clear button and twine.

Whimsy Products can be found here:

I also used MS border punch, SU card stock, Mixed Media card stock
watercolor paints, copic markers, stickles glitter, twine, button

Wishing you...

I recently decided to color up each stamp from a cute Penny Black clear set, and I have plans to make them all into cards soon.  For now I was able to make two birthday cards. But today I am only showing you one, so I have something new to show you at a later time :-)

I did add both cards to my etsy card shop, so you can see the other one there if you'd like to.

This cutie was colored with copic markers and then fussy cut. I know, a lot of work, but I find it very relaxing to listen to my favorite music while fussy cutting. Papers are from Stampin Up. White card stock is heavy weight recollections. I used a punched glittered butterfly and some twine and more glitter for embellishments. The sentiment was directly stamped onto the card base.

Inside the card I did just a little bit of stamping and added a matching strip of designer paper. I like to leave lots of empty space on the inside for a personal message.

As mentioned above, this card is up for sale in my Etsy *card* shop. Along with the other one I created.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Shimmery Sparkles Faery

Happy Saturday :-)
Hope you're having a great weekend so far with some nice weather. I woke up bright and early today to some cooler weather and clouds, but now the sun is out with a few clouds scattered around. Love this type of weather!

I have a card to share today using one of the new Whimsy Stamps just released last week.
I went with a natural and gold look, so it's not very colorful, but I like how it turned out.
Image was colored using copic markers and fussy cut. Glitter was applied to the wings and wand. The original stamp has some little stars scattered around the wand, but I had to cut them away to make it work for my design. I couldn't find a designer paper that would have worked, so I simply made my own by stamping a sentiment and some music notes onto so saffron cards stock, then inked the edges using distress ink. Sentiments used are also from Whimsy Stamps from a couple years ago. I finished off the card by adding a scallop border to the left side and a little button with gold cord onto the little "flag" on the right side. Christmas tree die I used here was also just released.

You can find the Whimsy products here:

 I am playing along here:
Crafting-With-Friends  Anything Goes
Jingle Belles - Use Something From Your Stash that's at least a year old and tell what it is (sentiments, border punch, twine, buttons are all very old)
Kitty Bee Designs - Make Music (music notes on background paper)
Simply Create Too -Early Holiday Wishes
Winter Wonderland  A Christmas Fairy

And that should be all for today. Thanks so much for visiting!

Bundle of Joy

Time for the midmonth reminder at Penny Black and More. Still a couple weeks left to play for a chance to win and don't forget you can enter up to 3 times for more chances to win.
I was in need of a baby card, and decided to use the cute Baby Hammock to create my card.

It's been stamped onto xpress it blending card and colored with copics. The white dots were made with a Faber Castell pitt marker. Papers are old (SU) and I used a polka dot embossing folder on the white paper strips. Embellished with some glitter and twine. Sentiment is from the set "Snippets" also by Penny Black. It's actually a straight sentiment, but since they are photopolymer, I was able to stick it to my acrylic block bent, and stamp it that way to below the image. I do have a brand new set of Snippets available in my shop, and don't forget to check out the new stamps I recently added.

These new products are available to purchase NOW in the Whimsy Stamps shop.

For today I used the super adorable stamp Santa's Gifts from the Crissy Armstrong collection.

This one was colored with copic markers. The card was kept CAS. I simply added some designer paper on top and used some gold cord and sticky rhinestones for embellishing. Also added glitter onto the fur, ornaments and bows.
The word "Merry" is a brand new die, also from this release. "Christmas" is from an older sentiment, I simply masked off the rest of the words from the sentiment.

Product List:
Christmas sentiments
(all above are from whimsy stamps)
copics, xpress it blending card
memento ink, glitter, gold cord, rhinestones

To hop along with us today, simply leave a comment on each blog listed below. You'll then be entered into a prize drawing. You have until Monday morning 8am ET to hop along for a chance to win :-)

Whimsy Stamps - September Rubber & Clear Stamp Release

Happy Wednesday everyone, and thank you so much for visiting!

Whimsy Stamps took a little Summer break from new releases over the last two month, but the Whimsy artists have been busy illustrating some gorgeous new stamps for our new releases.

Today is the start of our 3-day blog hops showcasing stamps from the September release. This month we're doing  combined blog hops
with the Clearly Whimsy Clear Stamp team, so even more goodies to see and add to your wish list.

For today's card I used the gorgeous stamp Spooky Sookie from Whimsy's Lizzy Love collection. She's actually part of a little set, that includes all the sentiments I used here, as well as the little spider I used on the green strip. There is also a spider web included in this set, but I didn't use it on the card.
She's been colored using my Faber Castell Polychromos pencils and blended with baby oil. Not much blending was done on the hair, I simply used different shades of purple on the hair.

Product List:
Spooky Sookie (Whimsy Stamps)
Papers from Stash
versafine onyx ink, glitter
Faber Castell Polychromos for coloring

If you'd like to hop along with us, simply visit the links below. Don't forget to leave comments along the way - a winner will be chosen from one of the Designer's blogs, but the location is kept secret.  You have until Monday morning 8am ET to hop along each day, so there is plenty of time :-)

Have fun hopping and good luck everyone!! I'll be back again tomorrow with a super cute Christmas card for our second blog hop day :-)

Penny Black and More - September Challenge

Happy Sunday!
It's the first Sunday of the month, and that means time for a new challenge at Penny Black and More! I hope you'll come join us. We're making it really easy this month, our theme is "Anything Goes". You don't have to use a Penny Black stamp to play along, any rubber or clear stamp will work. As always we have some wonderful prizes to give away from several sponsors.

I've had this stamp set for a couple months now, can't believe I just now got the chance to ink it up. Love the cute foxes in the set, and of course the hedgehogs too :-)

To make my card I stamped the image onto kraft card stock and colored using Faber Castell Polychromos pencils. A simple sketch was used. Papers/ washi tape from my stash.

Product List:
Smile all day (PB - this set is available in my Etsy Stamp Shop)
Snippets (PB)
Life defined (Whimsy)
twine, faber castell polychromos, versafine onyx, faber castell pitt marker

Buckets of Love

September already, it's starting to look a little bit like fall outside, squirrels are busy collecting and eating acorns, and some pretty yellow leaves are already on the ground. But we're having a heat wave this week, and I also have another Whimsy Stamps Summer card to share :-) It's probably the last Summer card on my blog for a while...

For today I decided to create a postcard style card. It was quick and simple to create. Everything was directly stamped on to the card stock. I drew the line down the middle using a ruler. Colored in the image and postage stamp using Faber Castell Polychromos pencils.

Whimsy Products used:

I also used
Fancy Address (JFF Rubber Stamps)
Neenah card stock
Faber Castell Polychromos
versafine onyx ink
