Digital Tuesday is going buggy

Hello and happy tuesday!!

We have a new challenge for you over at Digital Tuesday! Our theme this week is

Going Buggy

and we have a fabulous prize up for grabs from our amazing sponsor Doodle Pantry

In order to be within a chance of winning all you have to do is create something with a bug (or bugs) on it, don't forget to use something digital and link it up at digital tuesday (link in my side bar) ! I hope you'll join us!

Here is what I made.

Photobucket

The Design Team was so lucky to receive the set "ant masquerade" from our sponsor. This set is amazing, it comes with all of the elements seen in my card above, plus may sentiments too. Not only will you receive the set with the image as seen above, they also come as single images too. And all that for the prize of $2.50 WOW!! That is amazing!
Here is a quick image of the whole set

Ant Masquerade

As you can see, my card is pretty simple. I simply colored it using my derwent coloursoft pencils, layered the image onto some kiwi kiss card stock, and then adhered it to the white card base. I did some paper piercing along the top and bottom edges. I thought this party sentiment would be perfect to use with these masquerading ants. It's from the set "mini party letter seals" from Whimsy Stamps. Another amazing set, this one comes in rubber, and you get 15 cling mounted red rubber stamps in this set for $8.

Party Mini Letter Seals

Ok, now here are a few challenges I'd like to enter with this card:
That should be all for today. Hopefully you'll find some time to join us this week!
Thanks so much for stopping by! I'll be back Thursday with not one but two cards and some fun news too!
Have a great day!!

Say Something Nice

Hello and Happy Friday! Hope you are enjoying your day!

A couple of weeks ago I was the lucky winner of the Cuddly Buddly challenge and received a £10 gift certificate to use in the Cuddly Buddly Store. Have you been to their store?? They have so much to choose from, rubber stamps, digis, dies, punches...

I decided to add a few more digis to my cuddly buddly digi stamp collection, and here is my first card made using one of my new digis, and I followed the theme of this week's cuddly buddly's challenge:
"Say something nice".

This image is by Pachela Studios Toby Tumble special friends.

Loved coloring this! I used my derwent coloursoft pencils blended with baby oil. Papers are from My minds eye. I embellished with punched out flowers and leaves using a Martha Stewart punch, some sticky pearls, ribbon, button, silver cord and glitter. And then I sewed around the edges.

Here is a close up of the cute image.

I am combining the following challenges with this card:
Thanks so much for stopping by! Enjoy your weekend!

Whimsy Challenge - Anything goes with a sentiment

Happy Wednesday everyone! Hope you are enjoying your day!
There is a new challenge over at the Whimsy Inspires Challenge blog,

and I thought I'd use one of the new digis from Stamp Art Designs by Katheryn available at Whimsy Stamps to play along. This cutie is called Raggedy Girl adorably yours (long hair - she is also available with pigtails).

This week the challenge is a pretty simple one,

anything goes with a sentiment.

Here is what I made. Of course I won't be entering the card to win, as I am on the Whimsy Digital DT already.
I colored the image with derwent coloursoft pencils and copic markers. Papers are from my stash. I embellished with some punched out flowers and pearls and some twine. My sentiment is from a retired stampin up set.

Hope you'll be able to join the whimsy challenge team, there are 2 amazing prizes up for grabs, plus a chance at a guest designer spot too.
I would love to enter my card to the following challenges:
And that should be all for today. I'll be back tomorrow to show you one of the cards that was published in the new Whimsy Magazine. If you haven't looked at the new issue yet, just click the picture below. Lots and lots of inspiration there!!

Cute and girly for digital tuesday

Happy Tuesday!
Hope you are enjoying your week so far! It's been good here so far, the kids are back in school ready to learn :-) I have lots of things planned while they are at school, will finally have a chance at sorting through all those toys and maybe I'll even find some time to paint my kitchen. But of course I won't be neglecting my hobby :-)

We have a new challenge for you over at digital tuesday. This week it was Karen's turn to choose a theme and she'd like to see something

Cute and Girly!

I know this one is easy for most of us so I hope you will all join. There is of course a fabulous prize up for grabs too! This week we have

Phindy's Place

sponsoring us, and is giving away one of her adorable $3 digis to one lucky randomly chosen winner.

Here is my card.

I decided to use one of Phindy's digis, I had it for a while and only used it once, so this was my chance to use it again. Love this little fairy.

The images has been colored with derwent coloursoft pencils and copic markers. Paper is from DCWV and main card stock is from Stampin Up. White is Neenah and Georgia Pacific. I embellished with prima flowers, brads, punched out leaves, and ribbon, and then applied some glitter to the wings.
The sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps (party mini letter seals rubber set found here).
To finish it off I used my janome mini sewing machine around the edges.

Here is a close up of the image.

I'd love to enter my card to the following challenges:
And that is all for today! Thank you so much for stopping by!

Bella's and Bronte's Challenge

Happy Sunday!

Here is a card I made yesterday for this week's Bella and Bronte's (Mo Manning's) challenge, which is " feeling blue". It doesn't have to be a monochromatic card but some blue on the card.
I thought this image with blueberries would be perfect to use for the challenge.

Here is my card.

I did a lot of distressing and sponging using distress ink, and sewed around the edges. The image has been colored with derwent coloursoft pencils and copic markers. Papers are from My Minds Eye and card stock is stampin up. I embellished with some lace, paper flowers, thread and brads.

And here are the challenges I am entering this to:

And here is a close up of the image. As you can see I did a lot of sponging and distressing. Might have went overboard with it a little.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great day!

A Cuddly Buddly Cutie

Happy Thursday everyone!
I have been working on this card yesterday and really wanted to get it finished, but then ran out of time, because I had to work all afternoon/evening long.

I wanted to play in this week's Cuddly Buddly Challenge. They have such cute images!! For my card I used an image from Pachela studio.

Isn't this image adorable!! Loved coloring it. I used derwent coloursoft pencils and then baby oil for blending. Papers are from Stampin up. The colors are some of my favorites, and I just love this designer paper. Too bad it's retired and no longer available.

I embellished with some prima flowers, button, brads, silver cord, and then a little bit of glitter on the party hat and flowers. To finish it off I did some sewing with my janome mini. Oh, and the sentiment is from a Whimsy Stamps rubber stamp set "mini party letter seals".

Here is a close up of the image.

I would love to enter this card to the following challenges:
