Hello and welcome to Day 6 of our February Rubber Die Release Showcase!

On Wednesday (22 February) Whimsy Stamps released this month's rubber designs and new Shapeology dies. From then until 28 February the Whimsy Stamps DT and Special Guests are showcasing these fabulous new stamps and dies with a daily mini blog hop.

Each mini blog hop has a new release prize hidden somewhere along the way and you have 24hrs to enter each prize draw.

For today's showcase day I am showing you a card I made using the super adorable Easter Bunny Stamp by Whimsy's Sylvia Zet collection. This has got to be one of the custest Easter stamps ever! Of course I love all of Sylvia's adorable little creatures.

It's been colored using derwent coloursoft pencils which I blended with baby oil.

The beautiful papers are from a 6x6 pack by My minds eye lime twist. The tickets (without sentiment) are from Whimsy's set Celebrations Mini tickets, and cut out using Whimsy's mini ticket shapeology die. I computer generated the "Happy Easter". I really need to find a good Easter sentiment set.

I embellished the card with some diecut flowers using the flower and leaf trio die by MFT. The beautiful flourishes were cut using Whimsy's Vines shapeology die.

To finish it off I did some sewing and applied a little bit of glitter.

I would love to enter this card to the following challenges:

For today's card I used the super adorable stamp "Sympathy Bugs" from Whimsy's Sylvia Zet collection. Aren't these bugs sweet?

I decided to create a "hang in there" card with them, but I think these cuties would make such a cute "I miss you" card, or anniversary or love....

I used my pencils and baby oil for coloring.

Designer papers are from a 6x6 pack by My Minds Eye. The sentiment is a really old one by stampin up. I embellished with some lace, seam binding ribbon, and twine. The corners were cut out using Whimsy's brand new Corners Shapeology dies. To finish it off I did some machine sewing and added a little bit of glitter.

I would love to enter my card to the following challenges:

Whimsy Stamps is releasing 19 fantastic new rubber stamps and 5 wonderful new Shapeology dies today! These new goodies are available to buy right now from the Whimsy Stamps store along with all your Whimsy favourites. (All Raindrop Echo Designs February stamps and 2 of this month's Shapeology dies were released last week as part of the ‘3 Companies’ blog hop).

From today until 28 February the Whimsy DesignTeam and Special Guests will be showcasing these fabulous new stamps and dies with a daily mini blog hop. Each mini blog hop has a new release prize hidden somewhere along the way and you will have 24hrs to enter each prize draw by leaving a comment on every blog listed for that day.

From this release onwards we are doing things a little differently. At the end of release week (Wednesday 29 January) a special Release Round-Up will be posted on the Whimsy blog. This post will include a selection of new release DT work from the previous week together with a complete list of winners from the daily mini blog hops.

Here is what I created for today.

I used the brand new stamp "Party Penguin" from Whimsy's Meljen's collection. I just love this little cutie, and I think he is the perfect stamp for Winter Birthdays!

I colored him with my new Polychromos Pencils by Faber Castell.

The papers are from Basic Grey. The sentiment is also from Whimsy Stamps from the set Party Mini letter seals. Another fabulous set for all things party and birthday. You can get this sentiment set of 15 stamps for just $8. I punched it out using a 1 1/4 inch circle punch.

As you can see it's a pretty simple card - again. I simply embellished with some ribbon, and a few flowers and used a simple sketch.

I would love to enter my card to the following challenges.

Happy little Gnome

This card was inspired by Karen's (Snippets) card " A little birdie told me". I just loved the look of her card and wanted to create one similar.

I wanted to use a birdhouse stamp too, but then decided instead to make a birthday card with this "Happy Little Gnome" from Whimsy Stamps (Meljen's collection).

He has been colored with my Faber Castell Polychromos pencils, blended with baby oil.
The sentiment was actually stamped right onto the white card front, but turned out crooked so I had to stamp it again and punch out using Stampin Up's word window punch.

I embellished with some twine and a button, and then sewed the edges.

Here are some challenge I am entering this to:

Thanks so much for visiting!!

Oh happy days

Happy Friday!
I had a little bit of free time yesterday so I thought I'd play in a challenge. And since I already had this image sitting here waiting to be colored I decided to play in Bella's and Bronte's challenge which is to use a sentiment.

I recently treated myself to a large set of Faber Castell Polychromos pencils and of course I used them here for coloring. These are amazing! They are oil based which makes them super easy to blend with baby oil. The face however was colored with copics as I haven't had time yet to figure out the pencils for skin tones.

I used papers from Basic Grey (Olivia collection I think). Embellished with some ribbon, felt flowers and brads and a little button with twine. The sentiment is from the set Summer Letter Seals by Whimsy Stamps. These letter seals are so fun to use! It's a set of 9 stamps. Here is a quick view of all the stamps in the set.

The letter seals stamps are also available for other seasons and holidays, like autumn, winter, love, spring and maybe even some more.

To finish the card off I did some sewing with my janome sew mini.

And here are a few challenges I'd like to enter:

Mo's digital challenge - my sentiments exactly
Cute card thursday - flower power
Totally Papercrafts - ribbons and /or bows
Truly Scrumptious -All creatures great and small
Digital Tuesday - Use Your Stash
The Stamping Boutique 2W - #26 Stitching

And that is all for today!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
