Whimsy Stamps Day 1 Rubber Stamp January Release!!

Welcome to the Whimsy Stamps January 2013 rubber stamp and die release!

Today, Whimsy Stamps is releasing 22 new Rubber Stamps and Stamp Sets, 5  new Whimsy Shapeology Dies, a fabulous new Shape EZ by TLC template, a beautiful Whimsy Designer Paper 6x6 pack, and 2  new Whimsy Prints Collection. These new goodies are available to buy right now from the Whimsy Stamps store along with all your Whimsy favorites. 

 From today until 29 January, the Whimsy DT and our Special January Guest, Gail Lass, will be showcasing these new products with a daily mini blog hop. Each mini blog hop has a new release prize hidden somewhere along the way and you have 24hrs to enter each prize draw by leaving a comment on every blog listed for that day. At the end of release week (Wednesday 30 January) a 'Release Round-Up' will be posted on the Whimsy blog together with a complete list of winners from the daily mini blog hops.

This image was so much fun to color and use! It's "Bart on St. Paddy's Day" illustrated by Crissy Armstrong. I don't really send out  St. Patrick's day cards, but I just couldn't help but LOVE this stamp, and I thought he would be just perfect for a masculine but fun birthday card

I colored the image with my Faber Castell Polychromos pencils, as usual, and it's been cut out. I really wanted to add some liquid appique to the foam on the beer mug, but just  cannot find it anywhere. It's one of those things that are only used rarely and when I reorganized my stash a few months ago, I probably put it somewhere and don't remember where. Might buy a new bottle before I mail the card out to my brother in law.

Don't know why the button appears so dark in the photo, it really is only a bit darker than my mellow moss card stock that I used for the grass.

Both sentiments are from Whimsy Stamps too, the top one is from the newest release "Simple Everyday Greetings". A really versatile set that's perfect for all kinds of occasions. The circle sentiment is from the set "Party Mini Letter Seals".

One of my older cards and a PB and more reminder

Good morning everyone! Sorry I don't have a new card to show you today, but just wanted to remind you about our ongoing challenge at Penny Black and More - Love is in the Air.

Thought I'd find one of my old cards that I made using a darling Penny Black stamp, and I thought this one fits perfectly with the challenge theme.

 

This was made in 2009, just thought I'd share it with you while I post the reminder here, and to also let you know we are again looking for Guest Designers. 

Just a few details to my card, the stamp is from the set "critter party". The sentiment is one from a really old stampin  up set. Back then I did more coloring with copics, so this cutie was colored using copics. The papers I believe are from SU and DCWV.
