Penny Black and More - November Challenge

It's the first Sunday of the month, and that means time for a new challenge at Penny Black and More! Everyone seemed to really enjoy our Anything goes theme last month, and since it's been so popular, we decided to once again have the theme of

Anything goes!

As always, we have several fabulous prizes up for grabs, this time we are sponsored by Penny Black, Crafts U Love and My Mums Craft Shop.
Don't forget you can use and make of stamps, just no digistamps please.

Since I will be needing Christmas cards in the near future, I decided to make a Christmas card for this challenge.
I used the stamp "Skiing Snowman" from Penny Black. This time I got out my distress inks and watercolored the image.
It's a pretty CAS card, I just added a layered snowflake and button as embellishments.

Here is a complete list of products used:
Stamps: Skiing Snowman (Penny Black - avail at PB Stamps), Holiday mini ticket sentiments (Whimsy Stamps)
Papers: Winter Blues Designer Paper (Whimsy Stamps) SU and Neenah Card stock
Tools: Layered Snowflake dies, mini ticket die (both Whimsy Stamps)
Embellishments: button, twine

Presents

Happy Weekend, and thanks for stopping by!
I had some time to make a card today, and so I decided to use this cute stamp from Whimsy's latest release - "Presents" from Time for Tea Designs, available in rubber at Whimsy Stamps.

I used my copic markers for coloring, and after finishing I cut her out using my cutterbee scissors. I used the snowflake background stamp from Whimsy Stamps to add a little texture to the kraft background. The designer paper I used is from my stash. A pretty simple card, I just added the sentiment and a button with some twine. Of course I ended up using my sewing machine too!

 Here is another view.

Whimsy Stamps - October Rubber Stamp Review Hop

Another scheduled post from me, hopefully blogger will behave and the post will go live as planned...

It's time for the Whimsy Stamps Review Blog Hop, where we are showing you some more fabulous projects using the newly released products. And of course there will another prize hidden in one of the Design Team blogs today, so hopefully you'll join us in this hop! All hop winners will be announced on the Whimsy Inspirations Blog tomorrow!

To make my card I used the gorgeous stamp  Winter Friends  from Whimsy's Wee stamps collection. Such a cutie and it was so much fun to color! I used my copic colors, but I have to apologize,  this time I did not write down the colors I used.
The designer papers are from Whimsy Stamps too, from one of the sets released last year (Winter Frost). I kept the card pretty simple, I just used some ribbon and die cut snowflakes for embellishments, as well as a little clear button with some twine. To finish it off I did some messy sewing around the edges. The sentiment is also from Whimsy Stamps.

Here is a complete list of products used:
Stamps: Winter Friends, Sleigh Ride (both Whimsy Stamps)
Papers: Winter Blues (Whimsy Stamps)
Tools: layered snowflake die, copics
Embellishments: ribbon, twine, button, glitter

 Here is another view.
I hope you'll be able to hop along with us in today's hop for a chance to win a whimsy prize.

You can find the complete list of participating designers by clicking

Don't forget to check back there tomorrow to see if you were one of the lucky winners!

Happy hopping!!

Whimsy Inspirations Challenge - Rubber Design Team post

Happy Wednesday everyone, and thanks for visting!
This is a scheduled post, so hopefully blogger will behave and the post will go live when it is supposed to!

Today is the Whimsy Stamps Rubber Design Team's turn to share a creation with you for our current Whimsy Stamps Challenge. This month the theme is

"Vintage/Chabby Chic".

It has been some time since I made a vintage-y card, so I hope I captured the theme here somehow.
I used stamps from the september release - the super cute stamp "Snowflake Bauble", and a sentiment from the set "Holiday Cheer". Behind the sentiment I used the evergreen tree stamp from the set "Lovely as a Tree" by SU.
The image has been colored with copic markers and cut out using my very sharp cutterbee scissors. I added some  chunky glass glitter (retired from SU) around the sentiment, and the trim in the middle of card. The edges were distressed. The holly and berries die was perfect to use on the side, although I did only use 2 leaves of the diecut. I added a button with some twine in place of the berries.

Here is a complete list:
Stamps: Snowflake Bauble, Holiday Cheer (both Whimsy Stamps), Lovely as a Tree (SU)
Papers: Winter Blues (Whimsy Stamps), Card stock by SU and Neenah
Tools: holly and berries die (whimsy), scallop border punch (SU)
Embellishments: chunky glass glitter (SU), stickles glitter, lace
The image was colored with copic markers

Here is another view.
