Anything Goes with a Sentiment for Penny Black and More - July Challenge

Hi everyone, thanks for stopping by! July already, it's time for a new challenge at Penny Black and More. We're making it really easy for you this month, as it's anything goes with a sentiment. Just remember the main image  has to be hand stamped (any stamp maker clear or rubber). Penny Black stickeroos are fine to use too.

I inked up one of the cute stamps from the set "U R the gift" from Penny Black's latest release. I do still have this set available in my Etsy stamp shop. For my sentiment I used a stamp from the set "Sprinkles and Smiles", also from Penny Black.

I colored most of the stamp using copic markers. The cat's chef coat has been paper pieced but I also added some shading with gray copics. Designer papers are all scraps from my stash. Embellished with some twine and glitter.

If you'd like to join us in this month's challenge, simply visit this link. Once again we have some wonderful prizes to give away, and you can enter up to 3 times for more chances to win.

Products used:
U R the Gift, Sprinkles and Smiles
designer paper scraps from SU, DCWV
xpress blending card, SU card stock
twine, stickles glitter
copics for coloring

Enjoy your Sunday!!

Peace on Earth

Hi everyone, just a really quick post, I actually wasn't sure if I was going to be able to finish this card today, but luckily I did. Image was already colored and fussy cut yesterday, so I just created my background, and added the image to the card. I wanted to keep it simpler, but after it was finished, I thought it needed some machine sewing.

In case you are wondering, why I am sharing a Christmas card - this month at Whimsy Stamps we're not having a regular release, instead we are having a Christmas in July month, sharing Christmas cards all month long using our favorite Whimsy Christmas stamps. Be sure to follow the Whimsy blog and DT members if you don't want to miss all the gorgeous Christmas creations by the DT.

For inks I used distress inks and copics for coloring.

Shades of Gray and a tiny Bit of Pink

This is a little bit different from my usual creations, it was actually my first time ever coloring an image completely gray (if you don't count the pink heart). I couldn't decide what to color her, seems like I always reach for the same colors, and while trying to decide, I remembered seeing some gorgeous black and white colored images and decided to give it a try. I used several of the Neutral Gray copic markers.

The card style is a center step card. This was only my second time ever using this design. It's really quick and easy to make. You can find instructions on Splitcoast Stampers HERE.

Designer papers are all from my stash, from SU and DCWV. I used a Whimsy Stamps die for the butterfly border and embellished with some pearls and twine.

Sandpipers and Palmtrees

Good Morning and happy Friday! Hope you're all doing good and are having some fun things planned for this weekend.
It's my turn this Friday to share a creation on the Just For Fun Rubber Stamps blog. This is also my last posting there as a Designer for JFF. It has been an amazing year creating cards with their gorgeous stamps, and I know I will treasure the stamps forever. JFF does travel for their stampfest show, if you'd like to attend one in your area, be sure to sign up for their newsletter HERE, and check out the list to see if/when they will be in your area. JFF offers high quality red rubber stamps, and you can choose from unmounted, cling mounted or wood mounted, whatever you prefer.

I have two cards to share today.
First up a CAS creation. I simply stamped the music background "Tempo" several times in the middle of the card stock, then stamped the birds over the background I created. Colored them with distress markers, the grass was colored with a gelato. I stamped the music background once behind the sentiment too. Added some ribbon and twine and mounted it onto black card stock, then designer paper.

JFF Product List:

For my second card I created an ocean scene.
It didn't turn out exactly how I had pictured it in my mind, so I am going to have to play with this stamp again when I get a chance.

PS: Just for Fun is currently holding a design team call, click HERE to read all about it. They are an amazing company to design for, almost regretting it not staying on the team for another 6 months, but it's time for me to move aside and give some other wonderful crafters a chance to play with these amazing stamps, and it seems like although I no longer work outside the house, I have less spare time for card making.

Thanks so much for visiting!
