Hello and welcome! A new challenge starts today at
Allsorts challenge and
it's Lorraine's week to host. She chose "Winter Blues" as her theme but it's an optional theme this week so feel free to link up
all your new crafty creations for a chance to win!
Here is what I made, a CAS card with the sketch inspired by the current
My Favorite Things
sketch challenge.
With my new (to me)
rectangle stencil
by MFT in place as well as torn paper mask to create a "hill"
I inked up the sky using
Blueprint Sketch Distress Oxide ink.
Then I used a white
Posca pen to flick some "snowflakes" onto the sky.
After removing the masks, I stamped the silhouette image and sentiment using
Versafine Onyx ink. The image is from Penny Black set
Spread Cheer. Maybe I should have done
the ink spatter after stamping the image and I also wish I had added some
footprints in the snow. Why don't I think of these things before
photographing the card!!?? The sentiment is an oldie from Whimsy Stamps and
no longer available. I finished the card off by adding die cut snowflakes
(Penny Black
Dancing Snowflakes die
set) which I applied Stardust
Stickles glitter to.
As you may already know, we are still having weekly prizes at Allsorts but are
now announcing them just once a month.
This month's prizes come from Oakwood, Stamp Addicts, Sizzix and AALL and Create.

I love it! I've heard those Posca pens are fantastic but haven't purchased any yet. Getting closer to buying, I keep ruining my other pens drawing over the top of acrylic paint.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a fabulous scene! I love the snowy hill you created! Thanks for joining us at Beyond the Blue!
