Hello and welcome to a new "I spy with my little eye" challenge taking place
right here on my blog! Pauline and I are back with a new theme and we hope
you'll join in the fun! We had some fabulous entries last month, thank you all
so much for joining us! Be sure to scroll down to the end to see who made our
top 2, both which will have the option to join us for our next challenge.
This time it was my turn (Ellie) to select a theme and it
is................
I spy with my little eye..........
something from the garden.
What can you find in your garden? Flowers, fruits or veggies, maybe a
garden gnome, how about a fairy or some garden tools? Lots of options I
think and we can't wait to see what you'll come up with. The linky tool is at the end of this post.
Below are our shares and we hope to inspire you to join us this
month.
My Card (Ellie)

This cute image is by Colorado Craft Company from the set
Veggie Stack. I colored with Copic
markers then fussy cut. There is a
matching die set for this but I
don't usually purchase them as I don't mind fussy cutting. Whenever I
color with copics I feel like making a CAS card and that is what I did
here too. I used an embossing folder by Spellbinders for a textured
background and then cut out a circle for more interest. Lavinia's Feather Leaf stencil was used inside the circle aperture. The sentiment is
part of the same set. I added a die cut butterfly (Penny Black Soaring die) to finish it off.
Challenge I'd like to share the above card with:
- A Cut Above - Die Cut Challenge Blog - at least one die cut (butterfly and circle used)
- Can You Handle The Pressure? - AG with an Embossing Folder
- Crafty Animals - Animals
- Critter Crazy Challenges - Critters
- Die Cut Divas - Embossing
- FarmQuest Grocery Game Challenge - Food with letters A, B or C (Bean, Carrot, Cherry Tomato)
- Simon Says Wednesday Challenge -
- Stamping Sensations - Summer in the Garden or AG

Such a cute little mouse proudly carrying the different vegetables. Great coloring of the image and a fabulous presentation with that embossed background and stenciled circle. And I think the statement is true too. Gardening surely is a way of calming down.
