You're my favorite...Penny Black

Happy New Years everyone. Hope you'll all have a fun and safe day and hope all your wishes will come true for 2010!!

Here's a card I made the other day using a clear stamp from Penny Black - my all time favorite stamp company. It'from the set "Critter Party".

I colored the image with copics. Papers are from Stampin Up and DCWV. I embellished with stickles glitter, prima flowers, ribbon and brads. I also used my sewing machine around the edges. The white edges were sponged a little for a softer look.

My sketch is from this week's Monday Mojo.

Thanks so much for visiting me today. Hope you'll have a fantastic day!!

Dazzling Diamonds Snow----DTC39

Happy Tuesday!!
I hope you had a wonderful holiday, I did and luckily my husband ended up having both christmas eve and christmas day off, which doesn't happen very often. Plus he'll be home for new year's eve and new years day too.

Today's card is for this week's digital tuesday challenge. Our hostess Michelle R. wanted to see Dazzling Diamonds glitter used as snow.

I am so thankful for the challenge, because my almost full jar of dazzling diamonds was very neglected, because I've been using stickles glitter for a while now for the ease of use. I realized how much more sparkly dazzling diamonds are and I'll be using them up now for sure. If you look closely you might be able to tell the difference. I used stickles on the punched out snowflakes and dazzling diamonds on the "snow" on the ground and house.

My image is from Soft Pencil, who is our sponsor this week, and they generously let us design team members choose one of their winter scene stamps. They are all so cute, but this one was my favorite.

Paper is from Basic Grey and Stampin up. Sentiment is from Stampin up. Image was colored with Copics. I did some machine sewing with my janome mini, and embellished with some ribbon and punched out snowflakes.

If you're up for a challenge using dazzling diamonds on a snowy scene, why not join us at digital tuesday. You might be the winner of some cute images by Soft Pencil.

Have a fantastic day!

Let it snow --- DTC38, and snowman card

Happy tuesday!!

Are you all set and ready for the holidays?? I still have to get a couple of things and wrap a few gifts for the kids, hopefully I'll get it done after they go to sleep tonight.

I made today's card for this week's digital tuesday challenge. Michelle P. chose the theme

"Let is snow".

She wants to see lots of snowflakes on our projects. I had so much fun making this card as it was actually still snowing when I made it! Plus this image from Mo Manning is just too adorable and so much fun to color.

I used copics for coloring. Added dazzling diamonds with a two way glue pen. I found the sentiment on the computer doing a search for scrapbooking verses. I thought it was perfect. The inside is not done yet, but it will say "happy winter" inside.

Colored card stock and papers are all from stampin up, designer paper is retired. Embellishments and tools are ribbon, stickles, martha stewart snowflake and lace border punch, eyelet, dazzling diamonds.

And here's a picture with the tag pulled out.

And here is the matching card I made for the gift set in my last post. I used the Penny Black stamp "snowy". It is the same sketch I used on my card above, just rotated things a little bit. Everything actually is pretty identical, I did use other designer papers and sentiment.

Card stock and designer papers both from stampin up and my local stamping store.
The sentiment is from Stampin Up's retired set "Season's greetings".

Thanks so much for visiting me today, hope you like the card and if you're up for a challenge over the holidays why not join us at digital tuesday for a chance to win some images from Dustin Pike?

That's it from me for now and since I don't plan on posting again until after christmas I am going to wish you all a

Merry Christmas

or

Happy Holidays

whatever you celebrate - have a fun time with your families!!

A little gift set

Here's a little gift set I made last week.
It includes a notebook,
matching calendar bookmark and pen, and a "snowman soup". I also attached a gift card to a local store. The computer generated sentiment on the bookmark is

"Laugh joyfully,
live fully,
keep happiness in your heart."

Snowman soup

Was told you've been real good this year
always glad to hear it.
With freezing weather drawing near,
you'll need to warm the spirit.
So here's a little snowman soup
complete with stirring stick
just add hot water, sip it slow,
it's sure to do the trick.

My snowman soup includes a packet of hot cocoa with marshmallows, two hershey kisses and a candy cane.

The bookmark has the new 2010 calendar printed on the opposite side. I got the calendar template from here. I got the colored designer papers at the local stamp store, have no clue who the maker is. Card stock and aqua designer paper is from Stampin Up.

Have a great day everyone, be sure to check back tuesday, I'll have the matching card for you as well as my digital tuesday design team card.

It's a birthday theme

Happy Tuesday!! Hope you're having a fantastic day. It is very cold here in Illinois so I am happy to be able to stay in this morning!

Today's card is for this week's digital tuesday challenge. Maria chose the theme "Happy Birthday" for us. Make a Birthday something. It was so nice to make a non-christmas card for a change!

My digital image is from "Cuddly Buddly" And it is actually a freebie. I knew I wanted to use this image right away when I saw it. I made it for my kids to give to their dad on his birthday.
I colored it using copics. The elefants ears were popped up with dimensionals.

All papers are from stampin up, the sentiment too.
I have a super busy day ahead of me, so that's it for today.

I hope you stay warm whereever you are and maybe you'll find some time to join us with the challenge for a chance to win some goodies from Ildi Co. - our sponsor of the week.

Inspired by the "12 days of christmas" - DTC36

Happy Tuesday all!!
Hope everyone is doing great and enjoys this holiday season! I am all set, presents are just about all bought and my tree is up and looks pretty :-) Just have lots of wrapping to do now.

Today's card is for this week's digital tuesday challenge. Our hostess Lorraine chose an awesome challenge for us, to make a card inspired by a Christmas verse or carol. So much fun!!

My first song choice was "Jingle Bells" and I really wanted to make a card inspired by "Dashing through the snow in a one-horse open sleigh". But, since my husband didn't get a chance to draw me a "one horse open sleigh" image and I could not find one online, I thought of my "lovebirds on a branch" image and immediately had the "12 days of christmas" song in mind.

I did minimal coloring with Stampin Up markers and copics. Used the Martha Stewart branch punch and some red brads for a christmassy feel. I also added frosted lace stickles to some of the branches to make it look cold.
My designer paper is from Stampin Up from a couple of years ago. Card stock is white and sage shadow.

I layered the image on a paper doily. To finish off the card I added some ribbon, sentiment on the tag and cuttlebugged corners with charms on each one.

This image is available in my etsy store, and right now if you buy 3 images you can choose 2 additional images for free.

This card also fits the challenge at this week's cupcake craft challenge with a similar theme "Sing a christmas carol".

Ok, that's it for today, if you're up for a fun challenge why not join us at digital tuesday for a chance to win some digis from my store the Digital Stamp Oasis.

Digital Tuesday #35 - Christmas Sparkle

Hello and a happy tuesday! I hope you had a fantastic Thanksgiving Holiday Weekend!

I made this card for this week's digital tuesday challenge, which is Christmas Sparkle. Love the challenge because I love all kind of sparkle.

My image is from Mo Manning, who is also our sponsor this week, and she generously let us design team members choose one of her images.

I colored it with copic markers. The designer paper is from Basic Grey. Card stock by Stampin up. I know it is hard to see the sparkles in the picture, but you can trust me - it's there. I applied it to the garland, the candles and flame, the slippers and the flower centers in the designer paper.
To finish off this card I added the sentiment (by Stampin up), and ribbon.

Thanks so much for looking, hope you'll be able to play along for a chance to win something fun from Mo's digital pencils.

Thank you - Digital Tuesday #34

Happy Tuesday!!

The challenge over at digital tuesday today is "Thank you". I don't know about you, but I really should be making and sending out more thank you cards.

This sweet cupcake image is from "Creations by Penny" who is also our sponsor this week. Winner can choose 5 images from her store. How fun is that!

Image is colored with copics. Papers are from Stampin Up and DCWV. I embellished with some double stitched ribbon and prima flowers, and added dots of stickles to the cupcake frosting.

The sketch is from Friday Sketchers.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Hope you'll have a fantastic day, and a

Happy Thanksgiving !!!

(if you are celebrating this thursday!!)

Look through the window...

Happy Friday!

The newest stamp tutorial on Gina K's StampTV is called "Faux Window". I loved how Gina's card turned out and wanted to give it a try.

The image I used is "A christmas snowman" from the Digital Stamp Oasis. (Don't forget the buy 3 get 2 free sale!)

I added some shimmery lace, that I found at a flea market, to frame the window. My designer paper is from Basic Grey, card stock is white and chocolate chip from stampin Up.

I embellished with some punched out flowers using SU's boho blossom punch and spring bouquet punch, and added silver brads as flower centers. I really wanted gold brads and since I am out of them, I just applied gold stickles to them. To finish the card off I added frosted lace stickles for the now, and more gold stickles ot the star and garland on the christmas tree. The sentiment is from Stampin Up's set "warm wisches, ribbon is retired cranberry crisp, also stampin up.

This card also fits the challenge over at Dare you to digistamp, which is "glitter" and
the basic grey challenge which is "Glitz and bling".

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Hope you're having a fantastic weekend!

Embossed digital stamp - with a new DSO image

Happy Wednesday everyone!

Have you ever tried heat embossing a digital image? I did, this is my first try. I have a bunch of glossy card stock from stampin up and thought I'd give it a try. It worked like a charm. The ink was wet enough to sprinkle some embossing powder over it and heat set with a heating tool. I am so excited!!

Before I started sponging, I used a white crayola crayon to add some highlights where I didn't want my ink to show. Then I used several Stampin Up inks to sponge on some color. I am pretty pleased how this turned out.

This is a brand new image that I finally had the chance to upload to my etsy store. I've been asking my husband to draw a boat image forever, and I really had it for a few weeks now, just never had the time to "clean it up". Well, finally - here it is!

Here's a few challenges I was inspired by.

Cupcake craft challenge - use a digi

Recipe:
digi-stamp: At sea (digital stamp oasis)

Digital Tuesday Challenge #33 - a color challenge

Hi all and thanks for visiting my blog today.

It is tuesday and that means it's time for a new challenge over at the digital tuesday challenge blog. It is my turn to host and I chose a color challenge.

**white, purple and gold or silver**
You may use yellow or gray in place of the metallics.

My image is from Cute Daisy May, our sponsor this week, and they generously let the design team members choose one of their sheets to work with. They have so many adorable images to choose from, it was so hard to choose!

I colored my digital image with copics. The tree is from Stampin Up. I heat embossed it with white embossing powder then sponged some yellow ink around it for a little glow. My papers are elegant eggplant and prints designer paper in lovely lilac (I believe -I got it in a package with others at a yard sale.)

Sentiment is from an old stampin up set. To finish the card off, I added some punched out flowers using Stampin Up's retired spring bouquet punch, with gold brads and used a glitter pen on the star and wings for some shimmer. Sorry it came out gray in the picture.

If you're up for a challenge, why not grab a digi and join us at digital tuesday for a chance to win some cute images from Cute Daisy May. They are giving away 5 (!!) sheets of their adorable digis. One sheet typically has 4 images, so that would be about 20 images. How fun is that.

Up on the housetop

Good morning everyone!

I usually don't post cards in the morning but I had such a surprisingly busy day yesterday that I didn't have time to post.

This image is a stamp from Whipper Snapper. I colored it with copics. Santa and the present in front of the chimney were cut out and mounted with dimensionals. Then I cut out and mounted the snow in front with two dimensionals for a even more popped up look. Added frosted lace glitter to the "snow".

The Designer Paper is from Stampin up, from my scrap box. I added a red grosgrain ribbon to finish the card. A pretty simple card, even though it did take a little time to cut out parts of it. Oh, and the sentiment is from a retired Stampin Up set.

This cards fits this week's Cute Card Thursday, which is "Glitter me silly".

Thanks so much for visiting my blog today, hope you are having a wonderful day!

Ellie.

Mojo Monday meets Cupcake Craft

Happy weekend to all of you!

Hope you're having some fun things planned. I just hope that this cough quits for the night and that I won't wake up with a sore throat again... I just had enough of this sickness.

Here's a card I made using this week's mojo monday sketch.

The image is from the Daisie company, a digi from a set of 20 images. You can see some more images from the set in the post below. I just love this cute snowman, and the best part of it is, I can change the size of this snowman!!! He's pretty small on this card. I colored him using copics.

The designer papers are from basic grey. Other papers are from Stampin Up. I used the Martha Stewart snowflake punch to make the snowflakes. Sentiment is from a retired Stampin Up set.

This card also fits this week's cupcake craft challenge, which is "Snow much fun".

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today, hope you liked my card.

Digital Tuesday Challenge - Holiday Wishes

Hi all!

I have another Christmas card for you today. It is my Design Team card for this week's Digital Tuesday Challenge hosted by Anjou. Our theme is

~Holiday Wishes~

I was searching the web the other day and found this really cute set of digis from the Daisie Company. I had to have it as I always wanted to have a gingerbread house and gingerbread boy image.

I colored with copic markers and applied frosted lace stickles on the "icing" and crystal effects on the "candy". The gingerbread kids were cut out and adhered with dimensionals. The sentiment is from a old Stampin Up set. I embellished with a martha stewart punched border and added a cocoa button with linen thread. Card stocks used are Georgia Pacific white, green galore and real red.

Thanks so much for visiting my blog today. maybe you'll find some time to join us in the challenge, Dustin Pike is our sponsor again this week, and he is giving away three of his adorable digis to one lucky winner!!!

Scrapbox Challenge #5 - it's all about Santa

Hi all and a happy weekend!

The theme for this scrapbox challenge is "Santa Clause". If you're up for a challenge using only designer paper scraps from your scrapbox, just make a card with Santa somewhere on your project and Designer papers only from your scrapbox. Remember, this is just for fun and if you'd like me to come see your creation just leave your name and card link with mr. linky.

This is just for the fun of getting myself (and maybe you) to use up designer paper scraps from my (your) ever growing stash. There is no design team and no prizes to win, it's just for fun!

For my card I used one of my favorite christmas stamps from Penny Black "Santa's comin' ".
Image was colored with copic markers. This was a super simple card to make. The designer paper is a scrap from a retired stampin up christmas designer paper. The strip was perfect for this, I didn't have to trim anything off. I embellished with some red grosgrain ribbon and did some paper piercing along the bottom edge. The sentiment is from Stampin Up (Warm words).

Thanks so much for visiting my blog! Hope you like the project and maybe you'll join me in using up your scraps!

My image was a freebie from our sponsor, Fred She Said. There is actually more foliage in this image but I cut it out. All papers as well as the sentiment are from Stampin Up. Digital Tuesday Challenge #30 - a color challenge

Thursday 10/29/09 11:35pm

I can't believe it's already thursday, I totally forgot to post my card for the last digital tuesday challenge, even though it was already typed up and "drafted" So here it is, better late than never.

Michelle is our hostess this week. She wants to see the colors kraft, orange and one other color of our own choosing in our design. Fun fun fun!

I went with green, because I wanted my dragon to be green, LOL.

The cute dragon image is a freebie from Dustin Pike from quite a while ago before he had a digi stamp store. I colored the image with copics and sponged the edges using creamy caramel ink. Then framed it with green galore card stock. Designer Paper is from Stampin Up. A pretty simple card, perfect for a little boy. The sentiment is from a stampin up set.

Thanks so much for visiting me today, hope you'll find some time to join our challenge this week for a chance to win some digis from my own store, Digital Stamp Oasis.

Halloween Treats

And here are the 21 treats I was working on for my dear son's school class. I kept it pretty simple, just punched out images off designer paper I got at hobby lobby and framed them with a scallop circle. Then added the tag with ribbon. I just didn't have much time this year to do something more involved. I'm sure the kids will love the treats though.

Enjoy your day!!

Scrapbox Challenge #3 - Glitter

Happy Saturday everyone!

And welcome to the 3rd scrapbox challenge. This week I chose * Glitter * as the theme. I love sparkles and add them to just about any card. So that part of the challenge was easy for me and I am so happy to have used another small scrap piece of designer paper.

If you're new to the scrapbox challenge: It is for fun only to get me(and maybe you) to use up our scraps. If you'd like me to come see what you made just leave your name and card link with mr. linky.

This is a super simple card. I received this image (stampin up) from a image swap. Cut it out into a circle and adhered it to a nestabilities scallop circle, and framed it with another circle. Designer Paper is a retired strip of Stampin Up designer paper, and the card base is old olive from SU. Added a little bit of glitter to the image and heat embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder.

I might end up adding a ribbon somewhere, or maybe a couple of brads. I just might leave it how it is. It looks kind of plain on the screen, but I like it how it looks in real life, so I am not sure yet.

Ok, that's it about the card, hope you'll join me in using our scraps this week. If you'd like me to come see your card just leave your name and card link with mr. linky.

Have a great day,
Ellie.

Digital Tuesday Challenge ***Things with wings.

Hi all and happy tuesday to all of you!
Lorraine has chosen a super fun challenge for us today at Digital Tuesday.

***Things with wings***

I would have had so many images to choose from, but I really needed a baby image because I needed to make a baby card, so I have asked my dear husband to draw me a flying stork with baby wrapped in blanked image.

I used copics to color the image, then adhered it to basic gray card stock and framed it with a rectangle scallop nestabities shape. The white card front was run through my big kick using a cuttlebug embossing folder. I added some gingham ribbon, stamped the sentiment and punched it out with a oval punch. To finish it off I added a matching bashful blue button.

This brand new image is now available for purchase in my etsy store.

Thanks so much for visiting me today, hope you can join us at digital tuesday, we have another brand new sponsor this week, Sassy Studio Designs, who are offering 4 digis to one lucky winner.

Scrapbox Challenge #2

Wow, I can't believe October is more than halfway over. This year has gone by so fast!
And since we are in the middle of fall, I decided to make

Fall/ Autumn

the theme for Scrapbox challenge #2. Anything fall goes, colored leaves, pumpkins, apples, farmers, thanksgiving, etc.

If you're new to the scrapbox challenge: It is for fun only to get me(and maybe you) to use up our scraps. If you'd like me to come see what you made just leave your name and card link with mr. linky.

I really wanted to use this cute image of Willie from the Maya, the bee show. I found it at a online coloring book site.

I had the designer paper forever! I can't even remember buying it or using it, but I must have at some point because I only had less than a half a sheet of it in my scrap box.
The image was colored using copics. The sentiment is a $ stamp from Michaels that I bought a couple of years ago. I stamped it on white and punched it out with my scallop circle punch. And the little pumpkin in the left top corner is a stamp from an old stampin up set. I'm so happy I have found use for this patterend paper, and I think the friend I am going to send this card to will love it.

Thanks so much for visiting me today, hope I inspired you to get out your designer paper scraps before you cut into another new piece of designer paper! And don't forget to come back and link your "scrap-card" so I can come see it!

computer problems

Hi all,

just a quick post to let you all know, our desktop computer is having a virus and we cannot get rid of it. It has been going on for a while now, and we have decided that it is time to reboot our computer and reinstall all the hardware/software again. I hate that thought because it means I'll also loose my wireless router until it is reinstalled again. I am hoping to get it done quickly without any outside help, but I am not sure.

Digital Tuesday Challenge 28 ----BOO

Hi all.
It's time for another challenge over at digital tuesday. Our challenge host Amy wants to see halloween projects done this week.

For my digital I used a freebie from Mo Manning. I love her art, and you can get this image by joining her paper craft planet group.

I colored it with prisma color pencils and baby oil and did sponging around the edges to sort of create a "nightly feel". The sketch was inspired by last week's monday mojo, but I turned it a little to work with my image.

The little candy corn image is from my halloween hedgehog stamp set (retired stampin up), and the sentiment is from the same set too. I embellished with ribbon, a flourish die, eyelets and machine stitching. The entire recipe is below.

I'm so happy you are visiting my blog today. Hope you like my card and maybe you can join us this week at digital tuesday for a chance to win 3 of Dustin Pike's cute digis.

Recipe:
Stamps: Mo Manning halloween freebie, Halloween hedgehogs (stampin up)
Ink: HP inkjet, basic gray, elegant eggplant
Paper: white (GP), elegant eggplant, only orange (both SU), purple designer paper (the paper studio), orange print designer paper from my scrap box
Accessories and tools: grosgrain ribbon, black eyelets, oval punch ( SU), flourish die (sizzix), scallop circle nestabilities, janome mini sewing machine, big kick, prismacolor pencils, blending stumps, baby oil.

Welcome to the Scrapbox Challenge!!

I don't know about you, but my scrapbox is running over and it seems like most of the times when I make a card, I end up getting a brand new piece of designer paper out. So for this reason I just decided to start a new challenge right here on my blog,

The Scrapbox challenge

to get myself, and maybe some of you, to use up all those pretty paper scraps. Once a week I will challenge myself (and hopefully some of you) to use designer papers from the scrapbox only. This is going to be just for the fun of it, so I won't have a design team and I won't have any regular sponsors.

I will post a challenge every weekend, and if you'd like to play along just add your name and card with mr. linky below so I can come see your card.

The theme for the first challenge is

"Punches".

Use as many or as few punches as you want! And remember, designer papers from your scrapbox only!

My card also qualifies for this week's Stamp something challenge, which is brown and something. This piece of au chocolate retired StampinUp designer paper from my scrap box was perfect.

It was quick card to make, and the sketch was super easy too. The recipe is below.
Thanks so much for visiting my blog today, hope you like the card, and maybe I inspired you to use up your scraps too!

Recipe:
Stamps: Penny Black, stampin up
Paper: pretty in pink, very vanilla, sage shadow, DP au chocolate (all SU)
Ink: memento tuxedo black, creamy caramel, chocolate chip, copics
Accessories and tools: flatback pearl, flower punch (SU), twigs punch, lace border punch (MS), circle punch (EK), sponge

Music to your ears ... DTC27

Hi all,

here's my card for this week's DTC. Shelly chose a super fun theme for us at the Digital Tuesday Challenge.

*Music to your ears*

When I saw this image from our sponsor "The little yellow company", I knew it was perfect for this challenge. Plus I love Elvis!

I decided to make a CD cover.
The image was colored with copics and cut out. I then mounted it to a star shape. Designer papers are from Stampin Up & DCWV and card stock is from Stampin Up. I sponged the white edges with turquise ink and did some sewing with my janome mini. To finish this CD cover off, I added some grosgrain ribbon , sizzix flourishes and applied silver stickles to the image.
The inside was inspired by a cover that Tina from Tina's Kreativeblog made.

The words were computer generated.

Thanks so much for visiting my blog today. The full recipe is below.
Be sure to check out the digital tuesday challenge blog to see what the other designers created and maybe you can play along for a chance to win something from the little yellow company. All you have to do is make a card/project using a digistamp and something to do with music.

Recipe:
  • Stamps: digi - the little yellow company
  • Paper: Stampin up, DCWVInk: HP inkjet, temp. turquoise, copics for coloring
  • Accessories & tools: grosgrain ribbon, stickles, nestabilities labels 8, large oval punch, sizzix flourish, big kick, half inch circle punch, janome mini.

My new stamp!

Hi all,

I received this adorable stamp in the mail today. My husband won it for me on ebay. I've been wanting it ever since I saw a card made with it.

I colored the image with my prismacolor pencils and baby oil. The edges were sponged using close to cocoa ink. Since the stamp is quite large, there wasn't much room to decorate the card and I didn't feel like making a huge card. So I just framed it with pretty in pink card stock, did some sewing along the edge and then adhered it to the wild wasabi card front.

The sentiment was punched out using a oval punch, and I embellished with some black gingham ribbon and applied stickles glitter. I am so loving this stamp and can't to color the image again. LOL.

Recipe:
  • Stamps: Stampendous (God sent his best - precious moments), Stampin Up (cute converse)

Heart to Heart ....DTC26

Hi all and happy tuesday!

Here's my design team card for this week's Digital Tuesday Challenge. Paula is our hostess this week and she wants to see a heart or hearts somewhere on our projects.

My image is from Digital Stamp Oasis, one of my favorites "Love birds on a branch". Right now you can still get all 20 images for $10.

Image was colored with copics. Papers are from K&Company, I did stamp the flourish over the sage colored designer Paper. I also did some sponging and distressing, and after I adhered it all to the card front, I thought sewing would have been nice, but well, it was too late.

I embellished with some prima flowers, buttons, eyelets and pearls, added a little lace with hearts on it, and stamped my sentiment on a heart done with a sizzix die. Oh, and the sketch is from last week's Everybody Art Challenge.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog today, hope you like the card. And maybe you'll find some time this week to play along with us at Digital Tuesday!

Maya and Willie and a couple of challenges

Hi all!

I really meant to post this sooner, but we had a super busy day and didn't get home until 7:30pm.

I made this card yesterday for this week's Cute Card Thursday Challenge, which is the colors Yellow and black. And it's also for this week's stamp something challenge, and they want us to use our favorite sketch. I surely use this one a lot, it is easy to work with and works for square, rectangle, oval, circle etc. main image. If you are familiar with Maya, the Bee show (or Biene Maja in german), then I am sure you recognized Maya and her friend Willie. I used to watch this show all the time when I was little (and a teen too!!) and believe me while I made this card I was humming the theme song LOL. I found this image while searching coloring pages online. It was colored with copics. Papers are from Stampin Up and DCWV. I embellished with a large prima flower, some buttons and silver cord, and added some stickles glitter to the wings.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog today, hope you like the card. Oh, and if you'd like to win some blog candy, Lora from Lora's cards is giving away some candy, you can read about it in the post below this one.

DTC #25 - Falling Leaves

Happy Tuesday!!

This is my Design Team card for this week's Digital Tuesday Challenge. Michelle R. is our hostess, and she wants to see falling leaves on our projects. They can be in the image, or on the designer paper or even a leaf brads, etc.

I actually stamped tiny leaves on my white paper, but they are really hard to see. My image is from Digital Stamp Oasis. Right now you can get all 20 digis for $10. Here is the link to the sale.

The image was mostly colored with copics, for the flower umbrella I actually used bravo burgundy ink from Stampin Up with a small paintbrush dipped in alcohol because I didn't have the right shade of burgundy in my copic collection.

The leaves on the ground were cut from the sizzix leaves die from Stampin Up.
My papers are all by Stampin Up, old olive, bravo burgundy, whisper white, and designer papers too, but they are retired. I embellished with a square aged copper paper clip and grosgrain ribbon and did some sewing around the edges. The full recipe is below.

If you're up for a "digital" challenge why not join us at digital tuesday, we have a brand new sponsor again this week, McMahon5designs, and they are giving away 4 gorgeous digistamps to one lucky winner!

Recipe:
Stamps: digi- susie squirrel in the rain (Digital Stamp Oasis), Vases in Vogue and Petite Patterns (Stampin Up)

To you from me...and Willow

Hi everyone, hope you had a great day. Mine's been ok, had to visit the dentist this morning because of two cavities. I am so glad I decided not to get numbed, because I HATE that feeling. It only hurt for a very short time. But I am so glad I got that dentist visit over with!!

Here's a card I made monday and it fits the challenge at the Cupcake craft challenge which is Pearls and swirls. I know you can all see the pearls, the swirls are harder to see, as they are only on the image.

This sweet image is from Whiff of Joy "Willow with cookies". Isn't it just beautiful. I had so much fun coloring it with copics and prismacolor pencils and baby oil. The designer paper is from Basic Grey and the cards stocks are from Stampin Up. I used my janome sew mini sewing machine for some zigzag stitches and Martha Stewart and stampin up punches for flowers and leaves. The full recipe is below.
Thanks so much for visiting my blog today, hope you're having a great day/night!

Ellie.

A clean and simle fall card --- DTC24

Hello all and happy Tuesday.

I made this card for this week's digital tuesday challenge. Martha is our hostess and she wants to see a

clean and simple fall card.

I don't know about your area, but here in Illinois it surely is looking more and more like fall, even though it hasn't officially started. Leaves are starting to change colors and fall off and the squirrels are throwing down tons of acorns from my tree in the backyard. My son is constantly complaining about them because he still loves to be barefoot in the backyard (it is still very warm in the daytime) and hates to step on them! I keep telling him to put on his shoes but he is not listening! Kids!!

I thought this little Susie Squirrel image from the Digital Stamp Oasis would be perfect for this theme. I used copics to color. Papers are all Stampin Up, the designer paper too, even though it is long retired. The full recipe can be read below. Oh, and if you like digital stamp oasis images, I have a super sale going on for a limited time only - all 20 images for US$10.00. You can check out the sale here.

I hope you get a chance to play the digital tuesday challenge this week for a chance to win some images from KLM Designs.

Penny Black Challenge..........A sketch

Hello and a happy sunday! I hope your having a fun day planned.

I got a chance yesterday to do the Penny Black Challenge, which is a sketch this week. I used this cute "Snowy" Penny Black stamp, which my dear husband got me from a local stamp store last winter. He is the best!!

Image was colored using copics and I added stickles glitter to the hat and scarf. The papers are from Stampin Up and Basic Grey. I distressed the edges a little and did some sewing with my sewing machine.

Thanks so much for visiting my blog today. The full recipe is below.

Recipe: Stamps: Snowy (Penny Black), Cute converse (Stampin Up retired) Ink: memento tuxedo black, chocolate chip, copics for coloring Paper: bashful blue, white (Stampin Up), Basic Grey (figgy collection) Accessories and tools: bashful gingham ribbon, stickles glitter, martha stewart lace border and snowflake punches, small oval punch by stampin up.

Waterlily skiing and some challenges

Hi all and a happy weekend!!
I made today's card with a few challenges in mind.
The image is Waterlily skiing from Penny Black. I had received a few images from a image swap I was in, and after that I just had to have the stamp, and I was lucky enough to find it on ebay.
It was colored with copics and prisma markers. I actually colored it a few months ago when I was practicing.
The designer paper is from Basic Grey, eva collection. I added a little bit of stickles glitter to it for some sparkle. The other papers are stampin up, melon mambo, kiwi kiss and white. Since the paper was already so busy, I tried to use less embellishments, but they are my favorites: pearls, narrow grosgrain ribbon and paper flowers.
And these are the challenges I made it for:

Friday Sketchers sketch ( a little bit reversed)
Stamp something (something with your favorite embellishment)
Cute Card Thursday (color challenge pink and green)

Thanks so much for visiting my blog today, the complete recipe is below.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Recipe:
Stamps: Penny Black (waterlily skiing), Stampin Up (warm words)

Papers: Stampin Up (melon mambo, kiwi kiss, white),
Designer Paper Basic grey (eva collection)
Ink: memento tuxedo black
Accessories: grosgrain ribbon, flatback pearls, punched out flowers, punched out butterfly, stickles.
Tools: punches (SU spring bouquet, martha stewart butterfly), paper piercing tool kit.

It's all about kids (baby, child, or teen) challenge

Hello and a happy tuesday to all of you in blog land.

I made this card for this week's Digital Tuesday Challenge. The lovely Maria is our hostess this week and the theme she chose is

It's all about kids
(use an image of a baby, child or teen)

I used this cute image from Cut-it-out Paper Crafts. It is cheering Karina. Be sure to check out Lynda's store on etsy, her images are awesome for cards for teenagers.

I am not a big football fan, but since I live in Illinois I decided to go with the colors from the Illinois Football team of orange, blue and white. I don't normally use these colors but they work great with the cheerleader theme.
The sketch is an old one from Friday Sketchers. I embellished using prima flowers, sizzix die cuts, stickles and flatback pearls. Sorry about all the sparkles, it isn't that much sparkle in real life. The full recipe is below.

Have a great day,
Ellie.

Recipe:
Stamps: digi Cheering Karina (cut it out paper crafts), digi sentiment, floral flourish by paper inspirations
Paper: whi
sper white, pacific point, only orange
Ink: HP inkjet, white craft ink, copics for coloring Accessories and tools: stickles, pearls, CM circle cutting system, prima flowers, big kick,
flourish die

From the Heart

Hi all, hope you had a fabulous weekend. Mine was great, we got lots of things accomplished, like starting to work on our planned yard sale. Plus today it was raining so we spent the day indoors (of course the kids had to build a sand castle in between the showers!)

I made today's card for the Create4fun Challenge. This is my first time playing along, because I just found this challenge. I love the sketch they provided.I received this cute Sarah Kay image from a image swap, I am not sure what the name is, but I believe it is called "Rose Garden". Papers are from SU and DCWV. I embellished with lace ribbon, prima flowers, MS punched leaves and pearls, I also used my sewing machine and did some sponging around the edges to soften it a little bit.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog today, hope you liked the card. The full recipe can be read below.

Recipe:
Stamps: Sarah Kay (Rose Garden?), stampin up
Ink: black, soft sky for sponging, copics for coloring
Paper: soft suede, white, dcwv sweet stack
Accessories and Tools: prima flowers, pearls, lace ribbon, martha stewart branch punch, scallop edge punch, word window punch, stickles
