"Miss you" card and Whimsy Cyber Monday Sale!!!

Hello and Happy Sunday!
Before I get to my card today, I wanted to let you know Whimsy Stamps is having their yearly
Cyber Monday Sale - tomorrow 11/30.
Be sure to grab your favorites tomorrow while they are on sale and still in stock!!

For today's card I used the cute stamp "Mia so lonely" from the Lizzy Love collection.
I heat embossed the image on Strathmore Bristol Vellum card stock and colored with faber castell polychromos pencils. The edges were then inked with distress ink. I used some sort of color blocking sketch and embellished with a little diecut flower and hearts. Sentiment comes with the stamp. I used a paper piercing tool kit for the piercing and the holes for the twine. Flower die is from MFT and hearts from Cuttlebug.

Advents Wreath

Happy Saturday!

Hope you all had a nice and relaxing Thanksgiving, if you celebrated! I spent a nice day with my family, turkey turned out great too :-)
Did you get any shopping done? I placed a few online orders and only went to Joann's to pick up a few things I still needed for my Advent's wreath. Not a fan of big crowds but by the time I went it wasn't that bad anymore.
I spent most of the day yesterday finishing my Advent's wreath, and then did a little bit of Christmas decorating around the house.

This was the second wreath I've ever made, if you'd like to see my first one, click here
I used a pre-made wreath which I purchased from Lowe's. It came with a large red bow, but I removed that. I'm sure the wreaths they sell are meant to be hung up, but I turned mine into an Advent's wreath. The embellishments and candles were all purchased from Joann's. I wish they had prettier candles to choose from, but the ones that did look nicer were too wide to fit onto my holders (I bought those in Germany years ago.)

 Side view.
Here is a top view. Love these colors!
This is probably my last wreath for some time, but who knows, maybe I'll make one for Valentine's Day :-)
Hope you enjoy the rest of your day!!
Thanks so much for visiting!!

Whimsy Stamps - November Challenge

I have another Christmas creation to share with you today, this is my second post for today, if you'd like to see my other one, simply scroll down or click HERE.

It's time for a new Whimsy Stamps challenge, and this month the challenge is "Christmas". We have a wonderful Whimsy prize to give away, so be sure to check out the post and take a look at what the rest of the team created. You don't have to use a Whimsy stamps to enter.

For my card today I used an new stamp from Whimsy's Lizzy Love designs - Stars and Baubles Background. It was just released last week. I thought it was perfect for a CAS Christmas creation.

The dark card stock I used is actually elegant eggplant by Stampin Up. No idea why it looks navy or black in the photo, no matter what I tried it just came out looking like this.
I heat embossed the image using detail silver embossing powder. Cut it to shape and then added silver card stock strips next to the image panel. The sentiment was stamped using elegant eggplant ink by SU to match my card stock. I added a few sequins for embellishments and matted onto a white card base.
Sentiment is from the set "Holiday Cheer" released a couple years ago, but always a favorite!

I am also playing along here:

Crystal Drops

Time for our mid-month inspiration at Penny Black and More! Still some time to play along with us. Our challenge theme is "Anything Christmas". As always we have several wonderful prizes to give away! Be sure to check out the challenge post to see all the prizes up for grabs and the wonderful inspiration from the rest of the team!

For my mid-month creation I used the stamp "Crystal Drops". I colored directly onto the stamp with an Aquamarker by Letraset, then spritzed it lightly with water. It was then stamped onto Fabriano watercolor paper. I did not color in the extra little stars that are part of the stamp (you can see what I am talking about on the inside view photo.) To create the splatter on the card front, I just flicked some watercolor onto the paper. A pretty simple card front. I thought the trees were so pretty, so I just left it like that, matted onto yellow and golden brown card stock.

Below is the inside view. This time I used linen distress ink to stamp the tree onto the paper. You can see the little stars in the background here, that I left off on the card front. The sentiment is from the set "Season's Gifts" which I have available brand new on my ebay for US shipping (ending today 11/18).

Something completely different...

Ok, this is my first time ever making a wreath, so please be nice :-)
It's nowhere near perfect, but I am pretty impressed by how it turned out :-) I've been wanting to create a wreath for many years now, but never actually did. I was always overwhelmed by the amount of products you can buy, and never knew where to begin. This year I did a pinterest search for wreaths, and came across so many beautifully designed ones. And so it started.

I actually wanted to create a Fall wreath, but when I went shopping for supplies, all Fall items were on clearance and hardly anything left. So I decided to create a Christmas one instead, Christmas is only a few weeks away anyway.
My supplies came mainly from Joann Craft and Fabric, with a couple sprigs that I picked up from Walmart. The owls I found at Menards, they are actually ornaments, but I cut the hanging loops off.
After the hardest part was done - deciding what to purchase - it was fairly easy to put together. The next challenging part came when it was time to make and attach the bow, but I somehow managed thanks to a youtube bow-making video I watched. Now I just need to glue the owls on, they are still loose right now, and will be using my hot glue gun.
This wreath will be hanging on my living room wall the day after Thanksgiving :-)

Hope you're having a nice and relaxing Sunday. The weather is beautiful here in my part of the world so I will be doing a little yard work before it gets dark outside. Lots of leaves were blown onto the corners of the house last week in the storm.

Belated Birthday

Happy Friday!
Did you  check out the Whimsy blog yet to see how you can enter to win one of the 3 wonderful prizes? If not, you still have plenty of time! Super easy to enter too, you can read about all the details here

For my Whimsy card today I used the super cute stamp Butterfly, Snail, Toadstool from the KHB collection. Loved coloring up this cutie! I had colored it with copics a few days go, but wasn't 100% happy with how the large mushroom turned out. And since I do love coloring so much and had extra free time, I decided to get out my Faber Castell Polychromos pencils and do some more coloring :-)

Aren't these critters adorable!! I thought they'd make a great belated birthday card :-)
Anyway, the image has been stamped onto Brisol Vellum card stock. I used baby oil for blending. Baby oil in place of mineral spirits work great with these pencils, as they contain oil pigments.
The designer paper is from my stash, it's also from Whimsy, but no longer available. Sentiment is from the set Simple Everyday Greetings from a previous release.
This is a flat card with no added embellishments or glitter. Loving how it turned out! I can't even remember when the last card I made didn't have some sort of twine, ribbon or glitter on it.

Above is a picture of the inside.
I used a sentiment from the set Birthday Greetings and stamped a couple butterflies.

Above is a closeup view of the cute image.

More Christmas Critters

For today's card I used one of the cute image I colored for the daily marker challenge, from the set "Deck the Halls".

The card and the stamp sets I used here are listed on my Ebay, if you're interested. Or you can find Deck the Halls here in my Etsy shop.

I colored the image using copic markers on xpress it blending card. Crystal effects was added to the berries. White card stock was embossed using a Christmas embossing folder. I used a sentiment from the Penny Black set "Season's Gifts". The little holly leaves are from an older PB set, not sure of the name of the set.

Whimsy Stamps - November Release News and Inspiration

Good Morning and Happy Wednesday!!

It's time for the monthly Whimsy Stamps rubber and clear stamp release and the design team has been busy creating cards and maybe some other projects with the new products.
We've changed things up a bit, there is no longer an official blog hop, but you will still find lots of inspiration using these new products over the next 3 days. Of course we'll still have prizes too. Just check out the Whimsy Stamps Inspirations blog to find out how to win!

For my card today I used the super adorable stamp set Critter Cuties, from the Crissy Armstrong collection. Love this set!! It includes 3 adorable little critters, some paw prints and several cute sentiments too!

I used the cute kitty from the set, along with the paw prints. I wanted this to be a birthday card for a little girl, so I used another sentiment from Whimsy, not from this set. Papers are from my stash, card stock is by SU, and I used copics for coloring the image on xpress it blending card. For embellishments I added some polka dotted ribbon, twine and a couple sticky rhinestones. Sewed the edges to finish it off.

Here is a close up of the cute image.
You can find the Whimsy products here:

On the inside I used the paw prints again, along with the heart that's part of the set. The birthday verse is from the older Set Birthday Greetings.

I will be listing this card on my Ebay later today (Wednesday) if interested. Link will follow once listed.

Still working on Christmas cards, another one I have just listed on my ebay page, and I also have this stamp set available for US shipping here on my ebay or here in my Etsy shop :-)

I actually colored this image for last month's daily marker coloring challenge, I just didn't get a chance turn it into a card until now.
Aren't these cats adorable!!! I colored them with copic markers. Crystal effects was added to the lights to make them shiny. I inked the edges with distress inks and then sewed around the image panel. The designer paper is by BasicGrey and I finished off with some twine from the Twinery.

Inside I used a Penny Black sentiment set from the set "Season's Gifts". This set is available here in my Etsy shop.
The cute mouse in the corner is from the set "Holly Jolly".

Another view of the cute image.

Wee Christmas Bunny with Presents

Happy Thursday!!
I have a new card to show you today using a cute rubber stamp from Whimsy's Wee stamps collection and a Whimsy sentiment. Both stamps are from a couple years ago but definitely favorites!

The image has been stamped onto blending card using memento ink, then colored usingn copic markers. I decided to fussy cut the image to work with the sketch I had in mind.
Sentiment was stamped onto a die cut circle then mounted onto bo bunny designer paper. I embellished with some snowflake brads, glitter and a little white pompom.

Products used:
(both by Whimsy Stamps)
designer paper by BoBunny
xpress it card, recollections 110lb card stock
snowflake brads, stickles glitter
copics for coloring

This card was just listed on my ebay if you are interested :-)

2 Christmas Tales

Didn't do much blogging or paper crafting last week, so I haven't posted anything new, but today I have two posts :-) This is the second one, if you'd like to see my other cute critter Christmas creations simply scroll down or click here.

The cute image I used on this card is from Whimsy Stamps' October release, a rubber stamp illustrated by Crissy Armstrong. Love Crissy's cute critters! They are so much fun to color and work with!

I stamped the image using Memento ink and colored with Copic Markers and Faber Castell Polychromos pencils on xpress it blending card. Glitter was added to the snow and fur. Designer paper is from DCWV. I added a simple sentiment over a die cut snowflake to finish it off.

You can find the Whimsy products I used here:

Penny Black and More - November Challenge

Happy Sunday :-)

Already November, time for a new challenge at Penny Black and More. It should be an easy one for everyone this month, as our theme is Anything Christmas. I am sure many of you will be working on Christmas cards this month, so you can play along. As always you may enter up to 3 times, and you don't have to use a Penny Black stamp. Just be sure the focal point is hand stamped (this can be a clear or rubber image stamp or large sentiment). The only exception to this is Penny Black stickeroos, but other than that you can use any make of stamps. Digis or die cuts as focal points won't be eligible for the prize draws.

For my card today I created a cute winter scene using stamps from the set "Deck the Halls". I have this set available for purchase brand new in my etsy shop if you are interested.

The cute critters were colored with copic markers and fussy cut. I used a Whimsy Stamps die to make the hills. The pretty stamped snowflake behind the sentiment on the front and the inside is from the set "Holiday Snippets", which is also available in my shop.

This is the inside. The large sentiment is from the set Season's Gifts, another one I have up for sale on Etsy.

I added some punched snowflakes and lots of glitter. Designer paper is from my stash, probably by Bo Bunny.
