DTC #65 - Summertime

It's tuesday again and that means we have another fun challenge at the digital tuesday challenge blog. It's my turn to host this week's challenge and the theme I chose is

SUMMERTIME

This should be easy enough since almost everyone is either in the midst of summer or maybe wishing for summer weather.

I chose an image by Mo Manning. I thought it would be the perfect image for my daughter's birthday card.

It's been colored using copic markers. Designer Papers are from Bo Bunny. I embellished with some paper flowers, flatback pearls, lace and glitter. Leaves were made using the sizzix little leaves die from SU. Sentiment is from a penny black clear set (critter party).

I am also entering this card to this week's Mo's Digital Challenge (Theme is anything goes).

Be sure to check out the rest of the Design Team's beautiful work.

This week it's my turn again to sponsoring our challenge blog with Digital Stamp Oasis, the winner gets too choose 3 digis from my etsy store. You can view some beautiful cards made with the images here at the DSO creative gallery blog.

Thanks so much for visiting my blog today. Hope you decide to play along this week!

Have a great day!!

DTC #64 - Christmas in June

Happy Tuesday everyone. This is going to be a super quick post as I have family visiting from overseas and I am keeping my internet times very limited.

This week our theme at digital tuesday, chosen by the amazing Anne-Marije is

Christmas in June.

I know I will be running behind again over the holidays so this was a great challenge for me, to get started early. I might actually try doing one holiday card a month until december so I can get done without too much of a rush.

My image is from a set from the D.A.I.S.I.E company that I purchased last year. There are quite a few christmas digis in this set, including a snowman and gingerbread house. It was pretty affordable too. I added some punched out branches to the image, cut out the bow and added it with a dimensional. I then sprayed it with some frost shimmerz. Sentiment is from stampin up.

I hope you'll join us this week at digital tuesday, Dustin Pike is our sponsor again this week, and one lucky winner will get a choice of 3 digis from his store.

And that is it for today.
Have a great day.

DTC #63 - Easel Card

Welcome to another Digital Tuesday Challenge. This week Anneke is our hostess and she wants to see some Easel Cards. How fun!! This was actually my first easel card that I actually completed. I tried it before but somehow it just didn't work.

For this card I followed the exact measurements that Beate used on her splitcoast stampers tutorial. I had so much fun making it!!

My image is from Phindy's Place. Isn't this image the cutest!!
I colored it using copic markers. I used a white prismacolor pencil for some highlights.
Designer Papers are from DCWV and Stampin Up. For my card base and other trims I used some confetti kraft cardstock from Stampin Up.

The card was kept pretty simple. I only embellished with a couple of punched borders, a couple of buttons and glitter. I tried to add some prima flowers but somehow it never looked right so I just left them off. Sentiment is from stampin up.

My card also fits into a few other challenges:

We have a new sponsor this week, Robyn's Fetish. They are giving away 2 of their cute digis to one lucky winner. To have a chance at winning all you have to do is make an easel card, but don't forget to use a digistamp too.

Have a great day!!

DTC# 62 --- Coloring with chalk

Happy tuesday everyone!! I am so sorry for the lack of posts, I try to get at least a couple of cards done a week but somehow it just doesn't seem to happen at the moment
.
So here we are again, tuesday, and that means another digital tuesday challenge. Amy is our hostess and she challenged us to color with chalk. It's been quite some time since I last used them and I was actually going to sell them a while ago, but then decided to keep them in a box of rarely used stamping stuff.

My image is from MelJen's designs, who is also our sponsor this week. The owner gave the Design Team a couple of images to use, but I decided to use one that I had purchsed from them a little while ago. I just love this little mouse reading in the shade under a mushroom. So cute!

I printed it out on Couture detail copic blending paper which I purchased from I heart stamps. This paper does not only work great with copics it worked wonderful with the chalks too, as well as Prismacolor pencils blended with gamsol.
My image was colored using Stampin Up chalk. I used a versamarker here and there to make the color pop a little.

Colored papers are all from stampin up. I embellished with a small punched out flower and sticky pearl, ribbon, a diecut flourish and some stickles glitter. Sentiment is from stampin up.

Our sponsor MelJen's is giving away 4 of their adorable digis to one lucky winner. If you'd like to play along for a chance at winning, all you have to do is make a card (or other project) using a digital image and color with chalk. Then use mr linky at the digital tuesday challenge blog to link your card. Easy, right!

My card also fits a few other challenges:
That's it for today. Hope you're having a GREAT day! And don't forget to dig out those chalks!!

Let's get trendy - DTC61

Hi everyone, hope you're enjoying your day wherever you are! It's been really hot here over the last week or so. I haven't gotten much card making done at all!
I did of course find some time to do my design team card for Digital Tuesday. Our theme this week, chosen by the fabulous Shelly, is

Let's get trendy

This challenge was perfect for our sponsor's images from InStyle Stamps. Everyone on the team got to choose one of their many stylish stamps, be sure to check them out!!

I went with the image "Melanie" from their retro collection. When I look at it, it just so much reminds me of me. I most often wear blue jeans and cannot resist swinging when I take the kids to the park.
Be sure to go check out the other design team cards too, they are amazing!!

Image was colored using copic markers. I used one of my flourish stamps and stamped some flourishes around the image. Then sponged the edges using bashful blue ink. My colored papers are all from stampin up, white is from I heart papers (couture copic blending paper 80lb). I embellished with some butterflies, stickles and pink rhinestones.

I hope you get a chance to play in this week's challenge, so we can come see your trendy cards.
