Love Trip

Good morning and thanks so much for visiting!

Today is day 7 of Whimsy Stamps New Release Showcase and mini hop, and I decided to be part of the mini hop today too!

For today's card I used the stamp  "Love Trip" from whimsy's Sylvia Zet collection. Sylvia's animals are just so very cute, I can't wait to see what other critters she will be  drawing in the future! I know they are going to be CUTE!!

The image has been colored using Faber Castel Polychromos pencils.

Another super simple card. I simply stamped the image on white cardstock, then cut out the bugs and the balloon, then I stamped the image again on blue card stock. I made the clouds using my Stampin Up clouds template and white craft ink.

The doily circle was cut out using Whimsy's newest double scallop doily shapeology die. I adhered the bugs and balloon do the circle and tucked the sentiment behind the bugs. To finish it off I added a few dots of glitter around the image, and a bow to the top.

The sentiment is from the set " Always and Forever" which was also just released.

I am playing along in a few challenges today:

Don't forget to there is a prize up for grabs from one of the showcasing blogs today. To be entered into today's drawing just be sure to leave a comment on all of the participating DT members blogs today (you can find the complete list HERE) by noon EST tomorrow, may 30th. All winners from this release will be announced tomorrow on Whimsy's Inspirations blog.

Good luck everyone!!

For today's card I used the adorable stamp"Teeny Mouse Hugs" from Whimsy's Meljen's collection!

What a cute image!! I just love Meljen's mice!

It's been colored with Faber Castell Polychromos pencils and then cut out. The half circle doily in the background was made using the new double scallop doily die. I just cut it in half and used part of it.

The sentiment is from the new set "Always and Forever" from Whimsy's Raindrop Echo Designs. . Embellished with some ribbon, a heart shaped button and some twine, then added a couple of diecut hearts (made using a sizzix die). The papers I believe are from  a pack by My Minds Eye.

Thought I'd play along in a couple of challenges:

For my card today I used the new rubber stamp "Hopeful" from Whimsy's Sylvia Zet collection.

She has been colored using Faber Castell Polychromos pencils.

I have been forever admiring brayered backgrounds and finally decided to properly learn how to do it. I watched a few videos, and I am getting better at it, but I still need A LOT  of practice. So please excuse my not so perfect card.

The sentiment is also from this Whimsy release, it's from the set "Oval Letter Seals". I used the new Shapeology die "Fun in the Sun".

I simply embellished with some ribbon, a button and twine, then added a little bit of glitter and sewed the edges.

I would love to enter my card to the following challenges:

Baby Angie

Hi everyone,

sorry for the lack of post recently, I have been pretty busy with extra work, so I didn't have much time to make cards recently.

But I do have a card to share today. It's another one that I made for the most recent Whimsy Stamps magazine.

I used the stamp "Angie" from Whimsy's Wee Stamps collection. I just love this cute stamp, and it also comes in a boy version " Angel Cody". Haven't had a chance yet to make a card with it though.

I used my Faber Castell Polychromos pencils for coloring. The papers are from a pack by My Mind's Eye. I embellished with some flowers and pearls, flourishes (which were made  using Whimsy's Vines die).  I also added some ribbon, and sewed the edges. The sentiment on the tag was computer generated, and the "Welcome Baby" is from an old Stampin Up set.

That is all for today,

thanks so much for stopping by!

Just ducky

Good morning everyone! Hope you're having a good week so far.

I have a very busy day ahead of me today, but wanted to share a card that I made for the latest Whimsy Stamps Inspirations Magazine. If you haven't viewed the magazine yet, you really should, as always it's free to look at and soooo amazing. Several amazing tutorials, of course lots of amazing samples by the Designers, and I believe there is even a freebie Shape EZ template to download.

Here is one of the cards I made for the magazine. I used the stamp "Everything's just ducky" from Whimsy's Crissy Armstrong collection.

I just love this cute stamp so much! It's been colored with Faber Castell Polychromos pencils, and I paper pieced the boots and umbrella.

The fence was made using Whimsy's picket fence die.
Of course, like on most of my cards I used a sentiment from Whimsy Stamps too. It's from the set "Celebrations circle pennants" , and I used the circle  pennants die to cut it out.

The clouds were made using a retired clouds template by stampin up. I have really only done a cloud background a couple of times, so  it is nowhere near perfect.

The grass was done by punching out some designer paper (basic grey) using the Martha Stewart grass punch. I added a few  prima flowers with brads and did some paper piercing along the edge to finish it off.

I have to say that I do love how this card turned out and I hope you do too!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Have a great day!

London Celebrations or Jubilee - Penny Black and More

Good morning and thanks so much for stopping by!

It's the first Sunday in May and that means it's time for our new challenge over at Penny Black and More!

Click for direct link to our challenge blog

Our theme for you this months is

London Celebrations and Jubilee,

a perfect challenge to celebrate all the things going on in London this year, with the summer olympics and the Queen's Diamond Jubilee.

I do have to admit this was a real challenge for me, I had no clue what to make and don't really have any London specific stamps.  But I did have this adorable stamp "High Spirits" by Penny Black and thought it would be perfect to use for a London Jubilee card.

Designing for

I colored it using my faber castell polychromos pencils. It's a pretty large stamp, so I made a simple card with it. Just added a flower (which I made using a MFT die and cut out several flowers using mulberry paper, then put them together using a brad), did some machine sewing and added the sentiment (Whimsy Stamps Celebration circle pennants and circle pennant die). And since our theme is London Celebrations and Jubilee I used the colors of the British Flag.
I would love to enter this card to the following challenges:
Hope you'll find some time this month to play along. Remember you don't have to use a penny black stamp to  play along, any company rubber or clear stamp works.
We have once again some amazing prizes to be won, thanks to our generous sponsors Penny Black, Stampalot, Crimson Cloud, and Crafts U Love.

Have a great day!!

PS: I have no idea why the little Penny Black and More logo is showing underneath the card. I cannot see it when I am in edit mode, and it still shows up when I publish the post. I am not sure I like this new blogger format...

April Sunshine

Happy Wednesday everyone! Hope you are having a good week so far!

I made today's card using the new Whimsy Stamp " April Sunshine" from the Elisabeth Bell collection.

I decided to dig out my copics for this one,  hated seeing them being neglected, but pencils are just so much easier for me to use...I am not very happy how this coloring turned out. Maybe the image wasn't the right one for me to use with copics. I especially struggled with her hair. Oh well, I just need some practice, if I just had the patience!

The papers are from Prima Marketing (Madeline collection). I embellished with some punched out butterflies, die cut flowers and leaves, some sticky pearls and a button with some white twine.

The beautiful sentiment is from a new set by Whimsy Stamps Raindrop Echo designs - Everyday Sayings Notables 4, and I used the matching Notables 4 die to cut it out.
