Happy Present :-)

Good morning, hope you're having a good weekend so far! Warmer weather here in the midwest this weekend, the Winter hasn't been too bad, but I am ready for spring!

Today I am sharing a quick and easy birthday card. This fun stamp - Happy Present-  from Whimsy Stamps was perfect for this.

I simply stamped it onto xpress it card, colored with copic markers and then mounted it onto a golden yellow and colorful striped paper. The "happy happy" is part of this fun little happy present stamp set, "Birthday" was masked off from another Whimsy Stamp set.

And here is my share for today's Linky Party.

I used my distress inks for water coloring this rose image. I used an old SU script stamp for the background and torn designer paper is also from Stampin Up. I embellished with punched out butterflies and sticky pearls and added some jute twine to the button sentiment. The sentiment is from Whimsy stamps.

Above is a close up. I know...I need a lot more practice with water coloring but definitely having lots of fun playing with the inks :-)
