It's been stamped with memento ink on neenah solar crest card stock, colored using faber castell polychromos pencils, and then cut her and her little birdie friend out.

The papers are from the pack "Lost and Found - Breeze". I used tempting turquoise card stock by stampin Up as my card base.

The sentiment is from the set "Playful Kittens" from Whimsy's Wee Stamps collection. I punched it out using an oval punch.
Simply embellished with some twine and glitter, and then did some sewing around the edges.

For today I used the super gorgeous stamp " Spread Love" illustrated by Crissy Armstrong.

I colored the image using my Faber Castell Polychromos pencils and some copics for the skin, then fussy cut her out.
I thought this paper was perfect to use with the image. But I don't remember who the maker is, as I had it in my stash from last valentine season.

The sentiment is from the new set "Just a Note - notable 6" also by Whimsy Stamps. The hearts on the left are from the new set "key to my heart" also designed by Raindrop Echo designs for Whimsy Stamps.

I embellished with a clear button and some twine, and a little flower with silver brad. And of course I had to do some machine sewing.

For today's showcase I decided to use the super adorable stamp set "Playful Kittens" illustrated by Sylvia Zet. Of course this was a have to have set for me!

Below is a quick card that I made using one of the darling stamps from the set, along with a sentiment from the set "Summer Letter Seals" by Whimsy's Raindrop Echo Designs.

I colored the image using my Faber Castell Polychromos pencils. The papers are from Stampin Up, white card stock is by Neenah. I embellished with a punched out butterfly (MS), a button with some twine, and then of course glitter.

Oh, and did you notice my new watermark on the card above? It's been designed by the amazing Ann, who is the designer behind Whimsy's Raindrop echo Designs sentiments, and she also makes the most amazing watermarks. These can also be purchased at Whimsy Stamps, several designs to choose from, you can go check them out HERE.

I had the idea to use these cute stamps to create valentines for my daughter's class. Below is a start, I still need to make about 20 more, but I won't start until after the holidays. I just thought this set would be perfect for that, and I love cute little sentiments that are included in the set.

These are really simple and quick to make, I simply added a little designer paper strip, and then the image which I cut out using circle nestabilities. The sentiment was punched out using SU's word window punch, and then I added some twine and a little bit of glitter. These were so much fun to make, and it's a great way to use up small paper scraps.
We will add a little pack of skittles or m&m's on the inside using a glue dot, once they are starting to sell Valentine's things. These are the perfect size for them.

D is for Deck the Halls

Good morning everyone and thanks for visiting!
It's the 15th of the month and we have a new challenge for you over at ABC challenges. We're at letter D and our challenge is

D is for Deck the Hall

We'd like to see your handmade holiday decorations, or use an image where someone is "decking the halls". Can't wait to see your creations! LOTV is our sponsor today, and who wouldn't want to win a LOTV prize??!!

Here's what I created using one of their super cute stamps, I think it's called "Woodland Christmas".

I decided to create a tree decoration using the Shape EZ Flip ornament downloadable cut file from Whimsy Stamps. I don't have an electronic cutter, so I printed out the pdf file and just freehand cut out the shape of the ornament.

Besides printing it on brushed gold card stock, I also printed it onto designer paper.
The image was colored  using Faber Castell Polychromos pencils. I added lots of glitter to the snowy hills. I just so much love this cute image with all those cute critters!
It's been embellished with a snowflake using one of the dies from the Layered Snowflakes Die set by Whimsy Stamps. Finished it off with some ribbon and a button with gold cord, and then added a few clear rhinestones. Please excuse my not so perfect cutting here, the gold card stock was a little bit heavy, so it wasn't very easy. Sometimes one of the electronic cutters would sure come in handy, but I don't think I would use one very much so I haven't gotten around buying one yet.

I am playing along in the following challenges:
Thanks again for visiting.
Have a wonderful weekend!!

Whimsy Stamps Review Day

Good morning and thanks so much for stopping by.

It's Review Day over at the Whimsy Stamps Inspirations blog, and the Design Team is showing you brand new projects made with the November Release stamps.

I decided to use the cute little "Mushroom Mouse" from Whimsy's Meljen's Designs Collection, to create a bookmark for myself. Thought he would be just perfect for that!

He's been colored using Faber Castell polychromos pencils, and then cut out using a circle nestabilites shape, which I then layered onto a scallop circle.

I cut a strip of real red card stock for the back of my bookmark, then layered it with some designer paper from My Minds Eye.
The sentiment was computer generated.

I added an eyelet to the top to put some twine trough. This twine can be bought at Whimsy Stamps. This one is Honeydew Chartreuse. It's $3 and you get 15 yards for that price. There are other colors to choose from too, it's a great way to get several colors without having to buy a hole spool.

I'd love to enter my bookmark to the following challenges:
And that is all from me for today. I hope your having a wonderful day. And if you'd like to see some more whimsy creations by the rest of the team, just click on the logo below to visit the Whimsy Inspirations Blog.

Penny Black and More December - It's Your Choice

For the Whimsy Stamps "Prints" Special Blog Hop please click here!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Happy Sunday everyone and t hanks so much for stopping by!

I hope you're staying warm where ever you are. We actually were lucky and had some warmer weather these last few days, at least it's warm for December. Today's high is supposed to be 60 F (or about 16 C) Not too bad, as I love opening up a few windows around the house to get some fresh air in without freezing!

We have a new challenge for you over at Penny Black and More. And since we know everyone will have a busy month with the Holiday's just around the corner, we made it an easy one. It's simply

...Your Choice.

Just don't forget to use a rubber or clear stamp as your main focus, to be eligible for the prize.

This month we are sponsored once again by some amazing companies - Penny Black, Stampalot, Joanna Sheen, Crafts U Love.

Here's what I made for this month.

I don't know about you, but somehow I have a hard time using the smaller stamps from PB's clear stamp sets. The I saw this gorgeous card on Beate's blog and thought these cuties were perfect to use with a similar sketch. Thanks for the inspiration Beate.

To make my card I punched 4 circles out of the designer paper then adhered it onto white card stock. Then I stamped the cuties inside the circles, and I popped up the balloon and flowers on the top left by stamping them a second time and cutting them out.

I embellished with a little flower, some rhinestones and some twine, and a punched out butterfly. When I was done I thought it looks a little plain, so I added the scallops on the left and right, and used the same circle punch as well as my SU scallop circle punch to cut out the scallops for each of the circles.

The sentiment is a really old one from Stampin Up.
I really liking  how this card turned out.

I am entering my card to the following challenges:
I hope you liked my card. Would love to see you play along too. Simply click the logo below to visit the challenge blog.
Have a wonderful day!!

Whimsy Stamps Store update

Whimsy Stamps is having a couple of Store issue, here is a message posted directly from Denise.

To Our Valued Customers and Friends:

Over the past week some of you may have noticed intermittent problems with our website resulting in loss of carts, log in problems, and security errors. We apologize for any frustration this may have caused.

During our attempts to diagnose and correct the issues, we have discovered some problems with our current hosting provider and their servers. In an effort to serve our customers better, we have made the decision to switch providers and move our shop to new servers.
This change/move will require our site to be shut down for a number of hours this weekend. We do apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. This change will also result in a delay of our regularly scheduled monthly digital release. But as soon as we are back up and running as normal we will release all the fabulous new images...including those from our brand new digital artist Marika Collins!

Our goal is to provide our customers with the best quality of service possible. We thank you for your patience at this time. We will make every effort to have this transition go as smoothly and as quickly as possible. Thank you for your continued support of Whimsy Stamps and our artists!

Have a great weekend!

---------------------------------------------------
Hello and Happy Weekend to you all!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Can you believe it's December already!!
And since it's the first of the month we have a new challenge for you at ABC challenges...

Clear it Out

We want to see you use up some of your old things.

Our sponsor this time is
Stamp Fairy,

they have some really cute digistamps in their store, do go check them out, there is something for everyone!

Here is what I created using two of Stamp Fairy's images.

Back in June I was the lucky winner of a challenge sponsored by Stamp Fairy, and these two stamps were two that I chose for my prize. I've been wanting to create my card with these for a long time, finally I had a chance to do so.

I printed the trees onto some old Stampin Up designer paper (I flipped one of the trees), and then I cut them out. The snowman was printed on white card stock and also cut out.
I created some snow by tearing white paper scraps and adding glitter to the torn edges. the trees and snowman were tucked under the "hills" to create some dimension.

The paper that I used for the "sky" is also from an old Stampin Up designer paper pack. So glad I was able to use these papers, I think they are gorgeous, but you all know how easy it is to push old papers back and always reach for the new stuff.

I colored the snowman with copics. The sentiment is from the set by "Winter Letter Seals" whimsy stamps. I embellished with an old SU button that I had for ages.

I would love to enter my card to the following challenges

Thanks so much again for visiting. I hope you're having a wonderful weekend!

Whimsy Stamps PRINTS blog hop

Hi everyone and welcome to the Whimsy Prints BLOG HOP!

In October, Whimsy Stamps announced the release of a BRAND NEW Whimsy Stamps product line - the Whimsy Prints Collection

The Whimsy Prints Collection are beautiful sets of hand-colored images which have been digitally reproduced and die-cut into various shapes. Whimsy Prints are printed on 100lb premium coated paper and professionally die-cut leaving smooth edges. Each pack contains 12 die-cut prints (3 sets of 4 images).

The Crissy Armstrong prints are lovingly hand-colored by Crissy Armstrong herself:

The Elisabeth Bell prints have been hand-colored by our talented Senior Designer Simonne Clay:

Whimsy Prints Collection are very straight forward and easy to use. They can be attached directly to your project with glue or double sided tape. Use them as is or cut to fit the needs of your project. One of the benefits of using Whimsy Prints is to cut back on the amount of time needed to hand color images. To summarize, it is a great way to make quick projects when time is of the essence! These are also wonderful for beginner crafters and kid projects. If you joined us for our last 2 releases, you may have seen some of the beautiful projects our DT and Special Guests have created using these prints.

Today we are showcasing these gorgeous Whimsy Prints with a special BLOG HOP! In addition to our regular Special Guests, we are delighted to welcome both Crissy Armstrong and Elisabeth Bell who are joining us for this hop! The hop starts today (Friday November 30th at 12.00PM EST) and ends on Monday December 3rd at 12.00PM EST. For this hop we have 4 different candy stops where you can enter to win a set of Whimsy Prints. The location of these candy stops is a secret, so if you haven't found them, please go back to the beginning and start hopping!

If you would like to hop along with us today and haven’t arrived from Jacque Beddingfield's beautiful blog, please CLICK HERE to return to the beginning of the hop at Bev's blog

I decided to make two projects for today's blog hop.

Below is a quick and easy to recreate christmas card, perfect for those last minute cards that still need to be made.

For the above card I used one of the pre-colored prints (toppers) from Whimsy's "Winter Magic" collection by Crissy Armstrong.

I simply cut out my designer paper (by Stampin up -retired), added my Whimsy Prints image which I layered onto a scallop oval nestabilies shape. Then I added a strip of real red card stock to the right and a narrow strip of red and white to the top.

Thought a snowflake diecut would look nice so I used my Whimsy Stamps snowflake border die to create one. To finish it off I added a button and some twine, and sewed around the edges before layering it onto real red card stock.

The sentiment is from the Whimsy Stamp set "Christmas Stocking sentiments"

*             *              *

Here is my second creation. I just love this gorgeous snow fairy image, also by Crissy Armstrong. This one is also from the precolored prints set "Winter's Magic". And I just love the way Crissy colored this gorgeous fairy.

My daughter is going to be in the Nutcracker ballet performance and one of her parts is a snow fairy. I thought she would love this wall hanging for her room.

This was really easy to create too, it would make some really fun last minute gifts, and if you have an alphabet stamp set, it's super easy to personalize too.

My paper is from the paper studio I believe. I layered the precolored print onto a square night of navy piece of card stock, then layered that onto brushed silver card stock. Sewed the edges and adhered it onto the designer paper.

The letters were stamped from the Whimsy stamp set "Spell it out", cut them out and then arranged them onto the bottom part of the picture. I added a few punched out snowflakes and some rhinestones, and then a little bit of ribbon and silver twine.

This was then adhered onto some white heavy weight paper which I scored twice to create a sort of a "border" Layered again onto night of navy. I have found a silver square picture frame for this at the goodwill store, but when I took a photo of it in the frame it was reflecting everything, so I am posting the photo without that frame.

So now it’s time for you to continue the hop by hopping over to Simonne Clay's beautiful blog.

Finally, here is a complete blog hop list in hopping order:

If you would like to see more Whimsy Prints projects, check out our latest mini magazine over on our Issuu site. This mini issue is filled with beautiful projects, all using prints from the Whimsy Prints Collections

Thank you so much for hopping with us today and I hope you enjoy our Whimsy Prints projects!

Whimsy Stamps November Release Hop Day 6

Happy Monday everyone and thanks so much for stopping by!
Today is day 6 of Whimsy's November Rubber Stamp and Die Release!

Before I get to my card I'd like to remind you about Whimsy's Cyber Monday Sale.

  Today only.

On Wednesday (21 November) Whimsy Stamps released this month's new rubber designs, Shapeology dies, Whimsy Designer Paper packs, Shape EZ templates and *new* Whimsy Prints pre-coloured toppers. From then until 27 November the Whimsy Stamps DT and Special Guests are showcasing these fabulous new goodies with a daily mini blog hop and I am part of today’s hop!

Here is what I created using the Stamp Set "Snowglobe Sentiments" from Whimsy's Raindrop Echo Designs.
I started out by stamping the snowglobe stamp onto white card stock and cutting it out using the matching snowglobe die. Then I stamped the snowman in the middle of the snowglobe.
I thought a silver base would look nice, so I stamped the snowglobe again onto silver card stock, and had cut the base out.
The blue paper on the top part of the card was made by using the snowflake and word stamp "let it snow" from this same set. The bottom part is from Whimsy's Michele R. designs paper "Winter blues".  I added a diecut snowflake border behind the globe.
After putting the card together, I applied crystal effects onto the snowglobe, and sprinkled some glitter onto the bottom part. Oh, and I also used an old Stampin Up stamp from "itty bitty backgrounds" to create snowflakes inside the globe.
To finish it off, I sewed around the edges, added a snowflake with a little clear button and some silver cord, and then the diecut corners with some rhinestones.

I'm playing along in the following challenges:

Catered Crop - silver or gold

Corrosive challenge - anything goes

Stamptacular Sunday-  Winter Bliss

The Crafty Pad - Add some Glitter

2 Sisters - Winter Wonderland

Crazy 4 Challenges  Put a bow on it

He's been colored using my Faber Castell Polychromos pencils, face was done using copic markers.

The beautiful snowflake paper in the back was made using the new snowflakes background stamp, from the Raindrop Echo Designs collection. Love love love that stamp!! I used versamark ink and white embossing powder to heat emboss.

The designer paper is from basic grey (olivia collection). Sentiment is from the whimsy Stamps set "Holiday Notables 2". It's been cut out using the notables 2 die.

I embellished with some ribbon, gold cord, glitter on the ornament, and finished it off by sewing around the edges.
