Happy New Year!!!

Hello and thanks for stopping by! Hard to believe it's the last day of 2014! I hope you have a fun time planned for today. I will be spending it with my family at home, playing games, eating and watching New York :-)

First up is a quick card I created last night using the stamp set "Christmas Scene Builder" from Whimsy's SC designs.
I simply stamped the sentiment 3 times, but only inking it once. Next I used the starburst stamps (there are two - one slightly smaller than the other one), and randomly stamped onto the card stock using SU and distress inks. The little dots are also from the same set. Finished it off with a little glitter and some sequins.

The next card I meant to share some time ago, but somehow I just noticed it was sitting in "draft" mode, so I decided to share it today.

It is a Christmas card I made using stamps from the Whiff of Joy Winter Stamp kit.

This is also my last Whiff of Joy creation as a Designer. It has been a fun year creating with the cute and gorgeous stamps from their exclusive Stamp Kits, and I am very lucky I got to add each one of these kits to my stamp collection. The image has been fussy cut after coloring. Sentiment is part of the set. I simply embellished with some ribbon and gold glitter.

And that is all from me for today.

Wishing all my followers and visitors a
Happy and Healthy New Year 2015!

Looking forward to another crafty year with you!

Monday Morning Challenge No. 2

Happy Monday everyone and thank you for stopping by! It's already the last Monday of the month, in fact the last Monday of the year (where did this year go??!!), and so it's time for the second Monday Morning challenge.
It was so nice to see so many of you join in and a warm welcome to all my new followers! I am not quite caught up commenting on all entries (I tried to spend less time online over the holidays) but will try to catch up in the next day. I do want to apologize, but I cannot comment on entries where a google plus account is required for commenting.

Before I get to the new challenge, it's first time to announce last challenge winner. I used random.org to draw a number, and the winning number is No. 53.

That would be Jean C.

Congratulations Jean, please email me at ellibelle_blog at yahoo dot com with your mailing address so I can send you the prize.

************************************

I picked out another fun challenge this month...

New Somethings

This can be new crafty goodies, new baby, new home, new job, and probably many more new somethings. Simply link your creation below.

A few things to remember:
It must be a new creation
You must mention my challenge and link back here in your post
Combine with other challenges as you wish
You may enter up to 4 times
(As last month, unfortunately due to postage costs, winners will be chosen from USA entries only.)

Now onto my card using New Somethings. I used some brand new Penny Black stamp sets from the  2015 Love and Friendship collection. They are also available for purchase in my Etsy Stamp Shop.

Product list:
copic xpress blending card,
designer papers from stash
copics for colorin, clear button, twine
Have you recently tried the new Penny Black Transparent line of stamps? I just recently received them and I am very  happy to report that Penny Black now uses a different, quality material to create them. They no longer fall off the clear blocks and they stamp beautifully. Soooo happy about that, because I had quit buying their clear stamps, since I didn't like the quality of the first clear Penny Black stamp sets I purchased.

The prize for this challenge is once again sponsored by my shop Timeless Stamps.
One lucky winner will receive the beautiful cling stamp below.

I would also like to enter my card to a few other challenges:

Sweet Stampin - Anything Goes
Cute Card Thursday -  Anything Goes
Simon Says Stamp -  Anything Goes
My Craft Creations - Always Anything Goes

Now it's your turn to get creative. You have until January 24th 10pm Central time to play along. If inlinkz is missing, simply leave the link in the comments. New challenge will start January 26th.

Happy Stamping!

ETA 5/20/18:
To protect the privacy of those who entered this challenge, the linky tool has now been removed.

I still have the Christmas stamps marked down, and the one I have used today is included.

To make my card I stamped the beautiful image using black stazon ink onto watercolor paper and then colored using distress inks. I applied lots of glitter to finish it off. A very quick card to make.

Embossed Winter Song

I finally cleaned my desk today, since I left it a mess last time I made something, and then yesterday me and my daughter worked on a little gift for her secret Santa. It took forever to clean up, but when I was finished I felt like making a quick card with the beautiful stamp "Winter Song" since I still need a few more Christmas cards.

I've wanted to heat emboss this image since I first got it, and decided on a CAS card heat embossing with silver.
This is a very quick card to make, I simply stamped the image with versamark ink, heat embossed with silver embossing powder and added my sentiment using a turquoise ink. I wanted a little more color on the card so I added a little bit of scallop paper to the card and some turquoise rhinestones.
I apologize for the bad photo. It's such a foggy day out today, no sunshine at all!

Product list:
Stamps: Winter Song,
White 110lb card stock, turquoise card stock
Versamark ink, turquoise ink
detail silver embossing powder
sticky rhinestones, scallop border punch

Lots of Christmas challenges going on right now, so I am playing along in several challenges:

Just for Fun and Altered Pages Team up

Happy Friday everyone! Today was my turn to share a Just For Fun creation on the JFF blog. This month we are teaming up with Altered Pages, who kindly sent us some fabulous products to play with! I have used products from both Just for Fun Rubber Stamps and Altered Pages on today's cards.

I love these vintage style images, and was thrilled to have received a few collage sheets  from Altered Pages. By the way, you can buy these in their shop as pre-printed sheets (you can even choose which card stock) or you can buy them as digital prints.
I created a vintage style card using more products from Altered Pages as well as stamps from Just for Fun Rubber Stamps.

I wanted to share a second card made with another image from the collage sheet.

This card is rather clean and simple. Simply framed with gold card stock and added some glitter to the snow and angel's wings. I used the same sentiment as above from Just for Fun. Also used a Glorious Song background stamp from JFF, but sadly it's hardly visible in the photo.

Product List:
Christmas collage sheet, paper border trim, vintage text page, tag and pocket fromAltered Pages

Have a great day!!

Whiff of Joy Christmas Inspiration

Happy Thursday!
I  just noticed that my post wasn't scheduled, it was sitting in "draft" mode instead, so I am posting this a little bit late than I should have.
It was my turn to share something today on the Whiff of Joy blog, and since I just recently received my Winter stamp kit, I decided to share two cards.

First up is the very cute Henry the mouse as an angel.
He has been stamped onto copic xpress blending card and colored with copic markers. Other papers/card stocks are all from SU. I finished it off with a little bit of glitter and some twine. Sentiment is part of this cute set. As you can see, I also stamped a design onto the kraft card stock using stamps from the kit.
Here is my second card, using the cute Henry as a shepherd.
Copics on xpress blending card were used again, and I fussy cut the image. The pinecone embellishment is also a stamp from this kit, as is the sentiment. Papers are all from my stash

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Sending smiles

Hello and thanks for visiting!I had some time to do some coloring over the weekend, and today I finally was able to turn this cutie into a card.

For the main image I used the rubber stamp "Dreams of Paris" from Whimsy Stamps, illustrated by Mi Ran. She's been colored with copic markers and fussy cut. My designer paper is from my stash, probably by My Minds Eye. I used a few stamps from whimsy to add to the designer paper print. Sentiment was also just recently released. I used the new nested rectangle die set to cut it out.
A  pretty simple sketch. I just added a few matching designer paper strips and button with twine to the card to finish it off.

 Products  used:
(all stamps above by Whimsy Stamps)
nested rectangle dies set (Whimsy Stamps)
Papers from Stash,
Distress inks, memento black ink, copics for coloring
button, twine

I am playing along here:
Party Time Tuesdays - Anything Goes

Penny Black and More - December Challenge

Happy Sunday and thanks so much for visiting! I hope you are all doing well.

Since today is the first Sunday of the month, we have a new challenge for you over at Penny Black and More. As always, we have some very generous sponsors again, lots of prizes to be won. I hope you'll join us!

We have another easy theme  this month - Celebrations. This works for any type of celebrations, including Christmas of course. I can't wait to see what you make!

I went with a Birthday Celebration theme, as I needed a card for my nephew. You'd think with all the cards I make I should have plenty on hand when I need one, but the truth is, all I could find were too girly, so I made this one.

I  used the stamp Prize Cupcake, which you can find in my Etsy shop.

Speaking of my shop - all the Christmas stamps are on Sale. No coupon code needed for this one, I have marked the new prices in the shop.

Now onto my card, I colored the image using copic markers and then fussy cut. Layered it onto some papers and stamped the sentiment, which is an old one from SU. I added a little bit of glitter and sequins.

Just seeing now, that I forgot to add a dark background behind the bottom portion of the wheel. Why do I never notice this before I put it on the computer!!?? And of course the card has been sent off, so I can't even fix it anymore! Hope my nephew didn't notice :-)

I am playing along here:

Sister Act Card Challenge -  Anything Goes
4 Crafty Chicks - Animals
Southern Girls - Celebrations
Seize The Birthday- Anything Goes Birthday
DoubleClick Skittles -  Happy Birthday
The Male Room -  Ribbon
Paper Shelter Challenge -Special Celebration

Thanks so much for visiting and stay warm!

Believe in the Magic of Christmas

Happy St. Nicholas' Day!

I just recently received my Whiff of Joy Winter Stamp kit - my last one as a Designer for WOJ - and luckily I found some time yesterday to play :-)
And since today is actually St. Nicholas Day, I decided to share this card with you.

It's been stamped onto copic blending card and colored with copic markers. Sentiment is part of this cute stamp kit. It was a available as a pre-order only, I don't think it is available anymore.
The card has been kept pretty simple. I just simply distressed the edges and added some gold cord.

What about you, do you celebrate St. Nicholas Day? Here in America my kids get a little bit of candy and usually also a pair of gloves, or maybe some fun warm socks left in their boots by the front door. When I was a child, growing up in Europe, it was quite different. St. Nicholas, we called him "Nicholaus", would actually come to our house on the evening of December 6th. I remember I had to sing a song and say a poem, then he gave us some candy and walnuts.  It was always a day I couldn't wait for although I was always scared to death of him :-)

I'd love to play in these challenges:
C.R.A.F.T. -  Christmas
Divas by Design -  Festive
 Paper Shelter Challenge -Special Celebration
Sisterhood of Crafters  - Santa Claus

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great Saturday, and I'll be back bright and early tomorrow with a new card.

Whimsy Stamps - December Rubber and Die Release

 Happy Monday and Happy December!
It's already time for the December Release events at Whimsy Stamps, and once again there are going to be some amazing stamps being released on Wednesday. As always we are holding a 3-day blog hop event, showing you creations made with these new goodies. I hope you will join us each day for a chance to win some prizes.

By the way, today Whimsy Stamps is having a Cyber Monday Sale. This is for in-stock items only, and does not include the products being released on Wednesday.

Today the Design Team is showing you creations made with stamp designs by Crissy Armstrong, Time 4 Tea and Raindrop Echo Designs.
Here is what I made for today using a darling stamp illustrated by Crissy Armstrong -
Your love lifts me. It's so cute!!
My image has been stamped onto copic blending card with memento ink. It's been fussy cut after coloring with copic markers. The kraft colored background paper has been stamped with Whimsy's "Life Defined" background stamp. This is an older stamp, but one of my favorites.
Pink designer paper is from my stash, the blue dotted paper is actually washi tape which I got from Whimsy. It's actually on clearance if you are interested.

I used a sketch found on Pinterest. Sentiment is from a set being released on Wednesday - Simple Labels, and you will find it in Whimsy's Raindrop Echo Designs corner on Wednesday. I used the matching Nesting Rectangles Die Set, which will also be released then.
I sewed around the edges, then finished off with a little button and twine.

A Cold Winter Scene

Happy Friday and thank you for stopping by! I hope those of you in the US had a nice Thanksgiving yesterday and lots of yummy food!

I have a wintery card to share today using stamps from Just for Fun Rubber Stamps.

I started out by stamping the trees in the background and stamping them again without re-inking the stamp. Next I stamped the fence. For the snow banks I used a torn paper mask and an ink applicator. The snowman was stamped on separate card stock, colored and cut out and adhered to the card. Embellished with some glitter, a small clear button and some twine.

Products used:
 decorative iron fence, snowflake
all stamps above by JFF
scallop border punch, scallop circle nestabilities die
clear button, twine, stickles glitter,
copics, SU ink, memento ink

Thanks so much for stopping by!
