Sweet Sparkle

Happy Thursday everyone and thanks so much for stopping by!
Today I'd like to show you a card that was made using one of the gorgeous newly released stamps from Whimsy. This is one of the Wee Stamps illustrated by Sylvia Zet in rubber for Whimsy Stamps.

The stamp is called "Wee Sweet Sparkle". She's been colored using my faber castell polychromos pencils.
As you can see i added glitter to her wings.

I used a pretty clean and simple sketch again. The beautiful paper is part of the Whimsy Designer paper pack "in the garden". I simply embellished with some grosgrain ribbon, and glitter. And of course had to do some sewing.

Here is a complete list of products  used:
Stamps: Sweet Sparkle, sun moon stars (sentiment) - both by Whimsy Stamps
Papers: "in the garden (whimsy stamps), neenah white, SU night of navy
Tools: Double scallop border die (Whimsy stamps), nestabilities scallop circle and scallop circle dies
Embellishments: star button, ribbon, twine

I'd love to enter my card to the following challenges:
Crafting for all Seasons -  Girly
 Crafts and Me -Anything Goes
Ruby's Rainbow - Things with Wings
Simon Says Stamp -  Anything Goes
Creative Craft Challenges  A Stitch In Time (Real or Faux)

To make my card I used the super cute stamp "Hay, whatzup Buttercup" illustrated by Crissy Armstrong.

I had so much fun coloring this cutie!! Not sure if you can tell, but the head was stamped twice and cut out popping it up with dimensionals. I colored the image using my faber castell polychromos pencils. The sky and the edges of the card front were inked with an ink applicator tool.

Products used:
Stamps: Hay whatz up buttercupSun Moon Stars sentiment set (both whimsy stamps)

Tools: double scallop circle doily die, Sun Moon Stars die (both Whimsy), ink applicator tool

-------------------------------------------------------------

I also have another card to share today. This one was made for the Whimsy Stamps Challenge. The theme this month is "shaped cards". Just make a card in a non-traditional shape and you're good to go. Hope you get to play along for more chances to win Whimsy Prizes. There are two weeks left to play along.

I decided to make a flower pot shaped card using the gorgeous flowers from the new release set " In my Heart" from Whimsy's MoMa's collection. I stamped the flowers twice and colored twice, then cut them out using my cutterbee scissors. The flower pot template was found on google.com. I added a border using Whimsy's double scallop border die (which coordinates with the double scallop doily die I used on the first card). The sentiment on top was stamped onto a half circle, then I created a tag out of it.

As you can see on the photo, the flowers were adhered onto the circle. To finish it off I added some ribbon and another sentiment tied onto the ribbon with some twine. Both sentiments are also part of the same set.
Oh, and just in case you are wondering, I used the direct to paper technique (swipe ink pad over card stock) on the flower pot.

Products used:
Stamps: In my heart (Whimsy Stamps)
Papers: SU, neenah
Tools: double scallop border die (whimsy), circle nestabilities, oval punch, cutterbee scissors
Embellishments: ribbon, twine, glitter
Coloring medium: Faber Castell Polychromos

Thanks so much for stopping by! Enjoy your day!!

Penny Black and More - Midway reminder

Hi everyone! It has been way too long since my last post! And then I even forgot to post this card for the Penny Black and More June challenge, the midway reminder.
It is almost a day late, but better late than never. So here it is.

The theme for the month of June is Clean and Simple.
I used another stickeroo from penny black for this card. It's been  adhered onto card stock and fussy cut out, then adhered onto the card front.
I made the hill using part of an oval die cut. The clouds were done using a memory box cloud die. Sentiment is from a clear set also by Penny Black. I couldn't help but add some paper piercing along the edges too. But to me it is still CAS. Really loving this style!

Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope you'll find some time to join us this month. Don't forget you can enter up to 3 times for more chances to win one of the fabulous prizes! Simply click the logo below to visit the challenge blog.
Happy stamping everyone, I'll be back soon with a couple more creations.

One little ballerina - two cards

Hi everyone, I am back with a couple of cards that I was able to make over the weekend. They are for the Digital Pencil Too challenge, and a few others too. My daughter already made and entered her card for Mo's children challenge, and of course I just had to play along too. I decided to make a card using the cute "Lil Ballerina" image. When I got her, I also purchased the tiny dancer elements set, that include the ballet slippers and the sentiment used on the first card (along with some other digis).

Above is the first card I made. Coloring was done using faber castell polychromos and copic markers. I was inspired by the watermark Mo used on the sentiments in the tiny dancer elements set, so I used a old stamp from SU to stamp a heart onto the sentiment. Papers are from Prima Marketing.

When my daughter saw the card, she wanted me to make one for her birthday the same exact one, but using blue shades instead of pink. (She just got moved up to ballet 3 and their class color is light blue).

This one was completely colored with faber castell polychromos pencils. I used a set from Whimsy Stamps set "birthday greetings", and like on the first card, I used the same heart to stamp onto the sentiment. Paper is also from Prima marketing. My sewing machine messed up on the top left so I had to add a little flower there to cover it up.

I'd like to play in the following challenges:
Digital Pencil Challenge - Children's challenge
ABC Challenge -  O is for Open
Artistic Inspirations -  Stitching (real or faux)
Created With Love -  Anything Goes (papercrafts only)
Great Impressions -  Leave a Little Sparles
Lacy Sunshine - Always Anything Goes
Digi Haven – Week 1 - Anything Goes
Totally Papercrafts  Punches & Dies
Thank you all for stopping by, hope you liked my cards. Enjoy the rest of your day!!

Products used:
Stamps & digis: lil ballerina, tiny dancer elements (both by Mo Manning), Birthday Greetings sentiments (whimsy stamps), sketch an event (heart stamp by SU)
Papers: SU, neenah, prima marketing
Inks: SU and TH distress inks
Tools: butterfly punches (Martha Stewart), flower trio punch (SU), circle nestabilities dies, sewing machine, cutterbee scissors for fussy cutting
Embellishments: stickles glitter, rhinestones, button, twine

Children's Challenge at Digital Pencil

Good morning everyone, hope you're all having a wonderful Thursday!
Mo Manning is having a special children's challenge this week. I had told my daughter about it a little while ago when they first announced it on the digital pencil challenge blog, and she just couldn't wait to make a card for the challenge. She usually plays with my leftovers, paper scraps and images that I messed up on, she just doesn't want to waist them I guess and for her they are perfect. For today's challenge I let her choose a Mo Manning image, and she decided  to go with this cute kitty, which was a freebie a while ago, and is now available for purchase at Mo's store.

Here is her card.
I even let her use my faber castell polychromos pencils and yes, even my blending stumps. She wanted to make a birthday card, so I let her choose one of my birthday sentiments, the one she used is from Stampin Up, but I don't remember which set, as I have all the sentiments separated from their sets. She chose the silver ribbon, I did make the bow for her as she doesn't know how to make bows. The sentiment was stamped all by herself though. I can't believe how straight it turned out! Well, she wanted to add a flower too, but somehow she forgot...

So there it is, my 6year old's first officially blogged card :-)

Thanks so much everyone for visiting!!

Here comes Summer

I really wanted to play in this week's digital pencil challenge with the theme of "Summertime". It's been  a while since I used this gorgeous ice cream cutie from Mo Manning, and thought she was perfect for this challenge.

She's been colored using my faber castell polychromos pencils and some copic markers. Then I fussy cut her out.
The sentiment is from the set "Summer Letter Seals" from Whimsy Stamps. I created a scene with some designer papers, added some clouds (using a memory box die set), and t hen I aadded a flower with a little button and some twine. Finished it off with some machine sewing. Sorry the photos aren't the best today, it's cloudy outside.

Adding this card to the following challenges:

Catered Crop - use the color yellow
Creative Card Crew - punches/dies
Papertake Weekly- anything goes
Cupcake Craft - summer scene
Squigglefly - Summer
Stamp and Create  - Summer fun

Have a wonderful Sunday everyone and happy stamping!!

Clean and Simple for Penny Black and More - June challenge

Good morning everyone, can you believe it's June already!! I do hope June will bring less stormy weather and less rain. Our town got flooded badly the last week of May, some cars were under water almost up to the roof...And these strong storms every evening are getting old too, At least we had a couple days with no thunderstorms. They always are so strong around here and really do take the fun out of spring.

Weather aside, it's a new months and that means it's time for a new fun challenge at

We want to see your clean and simple creations this months, and this is what I came up with.

I decided to make a simple one layer card, with a strip of designer paper on top.

I stamped my image ("guess what" by Penny Black) onto kraft card stock using onyx versafine ink, then used my faber castell polychromos pencils for coloring. I don't use kraft card stock too often for coloring on, but I like the different look it gives. Colored pencils work really well on kraft card stock.

Designer paper strip is from my stash. Sentiment is part of the PB set "critter party". Added some twine and a little button, and that was it. Oh, and then decided to do some paper piercing too. Hope you like the card.

I am playing along in a few other challenges too:
We have some fabulous prizes up for grabs again this month at Penny Black and more, by our very generous sponsors: Penny Black, Crimson Cloud, Stamp Addicts, and All that Scraps so there are many chances to win. Plus you can enter up to 3 times for even more chances. Don't forget you can use any stamp company you wish, just no digital stamps. I can't wait to see your clean and simple creations!
