Whimsy Inspires Challenge *** Fancy Edges***

Good morning  and thanks so much for stopping by!

I made today's card for the Whimsy Stamps Inspirations challenge. 

This month the challenge theme is

  "Fancy Edges"

and I thought the new lace doily corner doily die 2 would be perfect to use for the challenge.

I used a brand new stamp from the January release, it's called " Floraline" illustrated by Elisabeth Bell.

I colored her using my Faber Castell Pencils, and as always blended with baby oil. 

I've embellished with a button and some twine, added a punched butterfly (Martha Stewart punch), and then a flourish diecut  using whimsy's "vines" die set. 

The sentiment "For You" is from the Whimsy Stamp set "Mini party letter seals". 

The papers are from a 6x6 pack by My Minds Eye, which I purchased at Hobby Lobby. Card stock is from SU and the white is Neenah.

There are about 2 weeks left to enter the Whimsy Challenge and there are 3 fabulous prizes up for grabs this  month! And you don't have to use a Whimsy Stamp, but if you do, then you might be chosen as a lucky guest designer for a future challenge. The guest designer will be able to choose a digi stamp of their choice from the store to create their guest card too!

Whimsy Stamps January showcase Day 6

Good morning all and thanks for visiting!! It's day 6 of Whimsy Stamps Rubber and Die Release showcase, and it's another day to enter to win a Whimsy prize!

On Wednesday  Whimsy Stamps released this month's new rubber designs, Shapeology dies, Whimsy Designer Paper packs, Shape EZ templates and *new* Whimsy Prints pre-coloured toppers. From then until 29 January the Whimsy Stamps DT and Special Guests are showcasing these fabulous new goodies with a daily mini blog hop and I am part of today’s hop!

Each mini blog hop has a new release prize hidden somewhere along the way and you have 24hrs to enter each prize draw. To be entered into today's mini blog hop prize draw, be sure to leave a comment on ALL of the participating DT's posts  by 12.00PM EST tomorrow.

Here is my creation for today's hop, using another darling stamp from  the set "Love and Hugs" illustrated by 2cute artist Heidi.

I really like how this card turned out! 

The puppy has been colored with my Faber Castell Pencils and then he was cut out. The card stock is from SU, the little bit of designer paper is from my scraps. 

I used the sentiment set "Everyday Sliders 1" along with the Sliders 1 die which were both also just released last Wednesday.

The card stock looked a little plain so I decided to stamp some flourishes on the top, using one of Whimsy's Lavish Flourishes stamps. To finish it off I added a simple hemp twine bow and did some sewing.

For my card today I used one of the super cute stamps from the set " Love and Hugs" by Whimsy's newest Illustrator, 2 cute rubberstamps.

  I colored this cutie with my Faber Castell Pencils.

The border was done with a new to me border die also from Whimsy, the double scallop border die. 

Papers are from my stash, i think the pink is by My Mind's Eye, a 6x6 pack purchased at Hobby Lobby. Thought the owl would look cute sitting on a branch, so I created one  by simply adding the flourish made with whimsy's vines die. 

Sentiment is part of this cute set. I used an oval SU punch to cut it out and layered it onto a choc. chip oval for some contrast. 

I added a little flower shaped button with some twine and then sewed around the edges to finish it off. 

Well, and that is about it. Hope you liked it!
