Pumpkin Patch

Happy Friday! It was my turn today to share something on the "Just For Fun - Rubberstamps" blog today, and you can see my creation below.
All stamps on today's card are by JFF. I had exactly this card in mind when I sent in my stamp selection. And I am really happy how it turned out :-)

I started out by inking the background using broken china and peeled paint distress inks. Next I stamped the fence using walnut stain ink, and then stamped the dried flower stalks using so saffron ink. The pumpkin image was stamped onto copic blending card and then colored with my copic markers. As you can see I fussy cut the image and then adhered it onto the background using dimensionals. Thought a little bit of twine would look cute so I tied a bow onto the sign.

Products used:
recollections 110 white card stock, SU brown card stock
copic blending card for pumpkin image
distress inks, SU ink, memento ink
ink applicator, twine

"Jungle" Bells Three - Giraffe

Did you see the adorable new "Jungle Bells" Christmas stamp designs by Crissy Armstrong yet? They were just released by Whimsy Stamps last week!

Today I am showing you a card made with Jungle Bells Three- Giraffe.
There are a few other cuties in the "Jungle Bells" line, and you can see them all HERE.

Products used:
Nesting Christmas lights dies (also NEW from Whimsy)
papers from stash, copic blending card for image
copics for coloring
gold cord and stickles

The word "Christmas" was masked off from another sentiment set by Whimsy. I am sorry but I didn't write the name of the set down and I don't remember the name of the set.

Trick or Treat

Today's card was made using one of the cute stamps from Whiff of Joy's Fall Stamp Kit (Stamp kit No. 3). I don't think this stamp kit is available for purchase anymore (as it is only available through pre-order.) But do keep an eye open for the next stamp kit, the winter stamp kit. I am sure it is going to be just as cute as the the first 3 stamp kits of the year.

It has been along time since I used my Derwent coloursoft pencils, and also a long time since I colored on kraft card stock, so I decided to use them again on today's card. These pencils used to be my favorite coloring medium at some point, and I very much enjoyed  using them again!

The sentiment is part of the stamp kit. Designer paper from my stash, I believe it is by Basic Grey. Simply embellished with some twine.

Floral Silhouette

Happy Friday!

Finally found some time  to share a card made with one of my favorite stamps from Just For Fun Rubberstamps. Can't believe I haven't used it yet before, but that's what happens when you get a huge amount of amazing new rubber stamps, you just don't know what to use first.

A quick to create card, I simply stamped the floral silhoutte in black archival ink. Without re-inking I stamped the image twice again to create lighter images.
Next I added some ink using a chickenwire stencil and distress inks. Edges were inked using darker shades of colors and finally I used the silhouette stamp around the edges too.
Matted onto black card stock and then added to my card base.

Product list:
Queen Ann's Lace stamp, Enjoy Life sentiment (both by JFF rubberstamps)
yellow, orange and brick red distress inks
black archival ink
twine

I'd love to play along here:

I had so much fun creating today's card and I just love how it turned out.

All stamps are from the stamp set "Winter Wonderland" by SC designs. The snowbanks were created by using torn paper and distress ink. I embellished only with a couple sticky rhinestones. I do believe there is a die available to cut out the deer. My deer was simply stamped  with walnut stain distress ink after I inked the background.
This is what the complete stamp set looks like.

Whimsy Stamps - September Rubber Release Sneak Peek Day 2

Hello everyone and welcome to the second day of Whimsy Stamps September Rubber Release sneak peeks blog hop. Today the Whimsy Designers and Guests are sharing creations made with stamps by Mi Ran, Time 4 Tea, Wee Stamps and SC Design. I hope you'll be able to join us today. Be sure to leave a comment on each blog (listed below) for a chance to be entered into the prize draw.

And here is what I created for today.

I used the adorable stamp "Cutie Elf" by Time 4 Tea designs. I also used a new sentiment from the set "Christmas Mini Tags" by Raindrop Echo Designs, along with a matching mini gift tag die also by Raindrop Echo Designs. The new stamps and dies will be available for purchase tomorrow from Whimsy Stamps and Whimsy Stamps retailers worldwide.

A pretty clean and simple creation as you can see. The border on top was done using Whimsy's double scallop border die. It's been release some time ago, but still a favorite of mine :-)
I simply used some gold cord and a few sequins for embellishments. Coloring was done with copics on copic xpress blending card.

To hop along with us and be entered into today's prize drawing simply visit the blogs listed below. You have until tomorrow (Wednesday) 12noon EST to leave a comment.

Inky Embossing

Happy Friday!

Time for a little "Just For Fun rubberstamps" inspiration! I thought this beautiful floral stamp would look amazing embossed in white, so that is what I did here. Love how it turned out with the distress inks, and this card can be recreated using lots of different color combos.

I simply stamped the large floral image onto my card stock using versamark ink, and heat embossed using clear embossing powder. Then I inked it up with distress inks and an ink applicator tool. I tore some white card stock for my sentiment and added it over the card. I finished it off by adding a couple punched butterflies embellished with sticky rhinestones.

Product list:
recollections 110lb card stock, SU colored card stock
versamark ink, distress ink, archival ink
butterfly punch, rhinestones

Penny Black and More - Fall Colors

Happy Sunday!
It's the first Sunday of the month and that means a new challenge at Penny Black and More. Since it's September and Fall is just around the corner, we have a very fitting challenge for you this month -

Fall Colors

I decided to create a watercolor wash background with salt, and use one of my favorite Penny Black floral stamps - Butterfly Suite.

I used Grumbacher Deluxe watercolor paints and salt for the background. The image has then been stamped with archival black ink, then I colored it using the paints.
Sentiment is part of the set "Autumn Letter Seals" by Whimsy stamps.

I hope you'll join us this month, as always we have some fabulous prizes to give away. You are not required to use a Penny Black stamp. Any company is fine, just be sure the main focus on your creation is hand stamped. And you can enter up to 3 times for more chances to win.
You can visit the challenge blog simply by clicking the logo below.

Please do grab our logo to display on your own blog

I am also playing along here:
Delicious Doodles - Colors of Autumn
Eclectic Paperie - Fall

Thanks so much for stopping by.
I hope you are enjoying your Sunday!

Just flying by...

It's been a while since I used the kite die and matching sentiment set from Whimsy Stamps, so I decided to get it out and create a card with it. Since my last couple of cards were rather fall-ish, I decided to use some pinks and blues today.

I created the circle background using dylusions inks and stencil. Then cut it out using a circle nestabilities shape, which I layered onto a black circle shape.

Before adhering the circle onto my car base I spritzed some dylusions ink onto the card base and added the vellum striped paper strips.
As mentioned above the stamp set is by Whimsy Stamps - Take Flight - which includes several fun kite sentiments, and I cut it out using the matching kites die set. The set includes two dies, a larger kite and a smaller kite. The one I used here is the larger one. If you are a scrapbooker, this stamp set and dies would be perfect to use on your summer scrapbook pages.

Here is what the complete set includes.

Autumn Greetings

Well, it's September, not quite Fall yet, but everyone at the house already has a cold :-( On top of that my cat Thomas isn't feeling well...wish there was something I could do for him. He has been sleeping/resting all day, and acting strange and maybe in pain since he came home last night, although he usually is up and running around all day and very vocal. Just hope he and all of us will feel better tomorrow...

I finally have something new to share using a the new - Fall - Stamp Kit by Whiff of Joy. Another super cute stamp kit, with several cute "Henry the mouse" stamps, some little matching accessory stamps and then of course it also includes matching sentiments too.

Image has been stamped onto xpress blending card and then colored with copic markers. Designer papers are from an old 6x6 paper pack by MME.
The little leaf and lady bug and the sentiment are both part of the set.

I simply embellished with a little flower and rhinestone, and did some stitching.
Here is a close-up, sorry about the blurry photo.

I would love to play along along here:
