I am going to keep this post on top for a little while, please scroll down for the latest card project!
To celebrate the new Digital Stamp Oasis Design Team I am giving away some blog candy. I don't have a picture of it yet, I still want to get a couple of things to add to it. But wanted to post the sketch and details today.
To win this blog candy you will have to
1. make a card using the sketch below...but there is a catch...you have to use something digital on your card. It can be a digital image (from any [digital] stamp company), a sentiment you make on your computer, digital Designer paper, or anything else digital you can think of.
2. Post your card on your blog and post about this blog candy challenge with a link to my blog.
3. Post a comment in the comment section with a link to your creation.
You have until Tuesday April 7th, 8am US Central time to enter. I will write down all the names that entered and let DH pick one out of a hat. Good luck to everyone (My new design team members are welcome to play along too for a chance to win!)
And here (finally) is a picture of the "candy" .You can click on it to get a better view of the items. The stamp set is a clear set by the paper studio (an assortment of faux stitching stamps which are awesome if you want a stitched look but don't wat to get that sewing machine out!), a package of assorted ribbon, a package of small flat pearls, about 50 prima flowers in assorted colors some silver and some rhinestone brads and a bottle of crystal stickles. I will mail this anywhere in a bubble envelope.
Thanks so much for visiting, make sure to check out the last post too and visit the super talented DSO Design Team!

Sketch something - Sugar Bowl
Hello and happy Monday! Hope you are having a fun one! I got lots of cleaning done and now finally had the time to post this card that I made yesterday.
It was made with two challenges in mind. Friday's challenge over on the Stamp Something blog is a sketch. Go check it out, it is a fun one! I also made it for the Sugar Bowl Challenge , the theme is spring or easter. I need a spring birthday card for a girl who is turning 11 (wow, how time flies!!) And this spring themed stamp from sugar nellie is PERFECT.
Image was colored using copic markers. Papers are lavender lace and kiwi kiss from SU, and white georgia pacific 110lb. The Designer paper is from dcwv.
The sentiment is from SU's upsy daisy set and for embellishments I used prima flowers with brads, and some stickles. The white edges looked too plain, so I added some dots using the paper piercing template and a old olive marker (SU). The swirly stamp that you see on the kiwi kiss paper is from the set delight in life.
Thanks so much for visiting my blog. And if you didn't already check out the sketch challenge and blog candy I am giving away to celebrate the new Digital Stamp Oasis Design team, make sure to visit this link.
Have a wonderful day!

Enjoy your day, sweet hedgie
Hello and happy saturday.
I just bought this adorable Penny Black stamp and of course I had to use the chance to play in this weeks Penny Black challenge, think spring. I combined it with this weeks sketch saturday. I love that sketch!
The image is called "friendly surprise". I colored it with copics and added stickles to the bird's wing and the flowers. The Designer Paper is from Basic Grey, eva collection, and I used pink pirouette, kiwi kiss and georgia pacific 110lb card stock. The sentiment is digital and is free along with several other small sentiments with any Digital Stamp Oasis Order. I also added stickles to the designer paper and did paper piercing along the edges, and sponged bashful blue ink. Leaves were done with the sizzix die, and the flowers are by "prima".
Thanks so much for visiting, and be sure to check out this link for a sketch to do and some candy to win.

FS111 Challenge - Beate
Today is Featured Stamper Challenge day over on Splitcoast. Beate is this week's featured stamper. Her gallery is full of treasures, if you haven't checked it out yet, make sure to do it.
I CASed this card. I do not have that stamp set, but thought the "Partysquirrel" digital image would be a good replacement. I chose a different color scheme because this card is for a little boy who is turning 6. I hope he doesn't mind the pink balloon.
I kept the same sketch.
I used my janome mini to do some stitching along the edge of the card front. Image was printed on whisper white with my HP inkjet and colored with my brand new lot of copics. (I found an awesome deal on them at my local art store...1 box of 72 and 1 box of 36 for a total of about $130 because the containers they come in were damaged-now isn't that an awesome deal!!!!) Designer Paper is turquoise prints designer paper from SU.
The image is from the Digital Stamp Oasis, and the sentiment is from Penny Black's Critter Party clear set.
Thanks so much for stopping by today. Have a wonderful Sunday!

Friday Sketchers ~ Think Spring
Hello and happy friday! Today I decided to combine two challenges as time is usually an issue and I love challenges!
On the stamp something challenge blog the theme is "Think Spring". Make sure to go check it out and play along for a chance to win a gorgeous Whiff of Joy Stamp.
I used the sketch from Friday Sketchers, and another chance to win a cute stamp by Pink Gem Designs.
The image is from Whiff of Joy (Willow with umbrella). I colored it with copic markers. The sentiment "Celebrate" is from SU's wonderful words set, the word "Spring" was made on the computer. The designer paper is from Blossoms and butterflies short stack (DCWV). I used retired soft sky (SU) as card base and for matting. The leaf is done with a sizzix die and the flowers are by Prima.
Thanks so much for stopping by today, and just a little reminder, today (3/20 midnight) is the last day to apply for the Digital Stamp Oasis design team.

CC210 On my mind!
Hello everyone! Today is color challenge day over on SCS. Use riding hood red, summer sun and kraft. I hardly ever use summer sun or kraft and I didn't know how my project will come out, but I am pretty happy with the turnout. The sketch was inspired by this weeks mojo monday sketch, but I changed it a little bit.
Image was printed at wallet size on Georgia Pacific 110lb card stock from walmart and colored using prisma and copic markers. A little bit of stickles was applied to the flowers in the image and the grass. The flower embellishments were made with SU's retired spring bouquet punch, and white paper flowers.
Recipe:
Image is from the Digital Stamp Oasis, sentiment from Upsy daisy set (SU)
Ink: HP inkjet, memento tuxedo black
Paper: summer sun, kraft, riding hood red, white gp, SU designer paper
Accessories: lace border punch, black gingham ribbon, spring bouquet punch, paper flowers, brads, paper piercing tool kit, stickles, alcohol markers.

Inspiration challenge and saturday sketch
For today's card I combined 2 challenges, SCS's inspiration challenge 171 and sketch saturday 42.
I was inspired by this figurine.
I wanted to use my new Tea Party designer paper by SU, because it is so pretty and perfect for easter, so I colored in my image to match the designer paper. I used copics and similar markers for coloring. Since I love my stickles so much, I applied them all over the eggs, the bunny's tail and pink on ears, as well as to the designer paper. Since I didn't have matching prima flowers, I used by boho blossom punch to make flowers. I attached them with rhinestone brads. The sentiment was made on the computer and printed in a lilac ink.
Stamps: digistamp rebecca rabbit with easter cart (digital stamp oasis),
Ink: HP inkjet, lovely lilac for sponging
Paper: lovely lilac, tea party Designer paper (SU), white 110lb (georgia pacific)
Accessories: ribbon, boho blossom punch, rhinestone brads, stickles, circle punch, lace border punch, crafters tool kit, doily, sponge
Thanks so much for visiting my blog. I hope you are having a GREAT day!

2 cards 1 post
Hello and happy friday!
Usually I only have one card posts, but today I have two cards to show you. I am working on a set of cards for a friend, so they are sort of quick cards.
They are also very similar. The first one uses Designer Paper, the second one I made using Paisley Background stamp from SU (it is also for today's LSC on SCS - make a card with a bug in it, and no designer paper). I added stickles to the background stamp to dress it up a bit.
Both cards are made using soft sky card front, real red as card base and real red ribbon.
The images are from the Digital Stamp Oasis. I printed them out with my HP ink jet printer on white card stock and colored using copic and similar markers.

Cute Card Thursday and WT209
Hello and happy Thursday. I hope you are having a great day. It is freezing here again, a good day to stay indoors and work on challenges.
I decided to combine 2 challenges today, SCS's Ways to use it (Going Green), and Cute Card Thursday Challenge 51, a sketch. I hope you can play along in that challenge, they are having a celebration and are giving away lots of goodies!
Onto my card. The image was printed on GP white 110lb card stock with my ink jet printer and colored with alcohol markers (I use copic, prisma and blick studio). The image is availalble at the Digital Stamp Oasis . This one is called "Susie watering flowers". I sponged the white edges with soft sky ink, for a softer look. Since I can't seem to make a card without stickles, I added it to the polka dotted certainly celery designer paper, as well as to the flowers in the image and and the ribbon on Susie's hat. To finish the card off, I did some paper piercing, added the prima flowers with pearl centers and the jolee's boutique flower charm. For the sketch, I actually ended up turning the image. Oh, and the sentiment was made on my computer and printed in colors that match SU's basic gray and certainly celery, and punched out with SU's large oval punch. The pink is pink pirouette.

CC209 Black Rose Artichokes
Today's card is for the color challenge over on SCS, to use basic black, rose red and always artichoke. While I use basic black and rose red quite often, it has been some time since I last used always artichoke. I do like the color, but it seems too dark, so I rarely reach for it. I do like how this color combo turned out, but had to add a rose red designer paper with some brighter colors in it.
I love this mushroom image, had to use it again. It is a digital image available at my etsy store, the Digital Stamp Oasis.
Image was printed on GP white 110lb as a wallet size with my HP inkjet printer. I colored it using prismacolor markers and copic markers. I sponged the edges with soft sky ink and added glitter to the butterfly and mushroom dots, and I also added stickles to the designer paper. To finish the card off, I added the black gingham ribbon, did some paper piercing on the scallop circle, and attached prima flowers with rhinestone brads.
Thanks so much for looking. Have a wonderful day.
For more product info see recipe below.
Stamps: digital image from the digital stamp oasis, stampin up sentiment (warm words)
Paper: always artichoke, GP white, basic black, SU designer paper (retired)
Ink: versafine black, HP ink jet
Accessories: prima flowers, rhinestone brads, gingham ribbon, stickles, swiss dots cuttlebug folder, big kick, scallop circle nestabilities.

LSC210 A quick card
Hello and happy friday. I hope you are having a wonderful day! The weather is pretty nice here in Illinois today, so I will spend some time outside today.
Today's LSC on SCS was to create a quick card, limit layers and embellishments. It has been a while for me since I did that. But my new stamp set Upsy Daisy was perfect for this challenge, I just got it and haven't use it yet. I decided to go with the faux embossing technique ( at least I think that is what it's called) It was featured in one of SU's stampin success from a while back when I was a demo.
To do this technique, all I did was stamp it first in chocolate chip ink, then used my stamp-a-majic and stamped it just a little bit off the first image with white craft ink. This gives it a 3D-look.
But before I did this, I sponged the bottom portion with kiwi kiss ink, and the top portion with bashful blue. Adhered to kiwi kiss CS, then added a strip of kiwi kiss to card front and put a white grosgrain ribbon around that. Image was then adhered to the card front. I could not resist the use of glitter, so I added it to the flowers.
Thanks so much for stopping by today!

WT208 my first ATC
Hello and happy Thursday! I hope you are having a great day with a little bit of creating in it!
Today I would like to show you an Artist Trading Card I made for today's Ways to Use it challenges on SCS. This is my very first time making one. I used another Susie Squirrel image from the Digital Stamp Oasis . I printed this one on 90lb watercolor paper, wanted to use another type of paper to see how it takes the ink. Works great!
Image is colored with alcohol markers (copic, blick studio and prisma). I did some paper piercing along 3 sides, and added real red grosgrain ribbon to the left side along with some silver cord. The sentiment was made on my computer, and punched out using a word window punch, folded in half and attached to the ATC. To finish it off, I added a little bit of stickles, used a flower from my flower trio punch, and added some silver circle charms.
Thanks so much for stopping by today.
Ellie!

Design Team Call for Digital Stamp Oasis
Hello and welcome!
I am looking for 6 paper crafters who would like to be on the Digital Stamp Oasis Design Team. This will be a 6months term, starting April 1st until September 30th.
If you follow my blog regularly you probably know, that I just started my online company mid-february, all image are digital and are my dear husbands drawings. He has been drawing all his life, mostly comic book art (superhero stuff) but one day I asked him to draw some cute images for me to use, this is how the idea with the squirrels got started (I just love seeing squirrels running around my backyard or when I take a walk in the park).
Requirements:
*You have to enjoy coloring with alcohol markers (copics or similar- it is ok if you are still in the beginning stage of your copic adventure!), or prismacolor pencils blended with odorless mineral spirit (or any other medium that works well with digital images)**I just discovered that if you heat set the ink, you can even watercolor the image
*Make one card a week using our images post it on your blog and online gallery and include a link to our store in your card description.
*You must have a personal blog and keep it updated.
If you get the spot you will get all 11 images that are available at our store right now, you will also get new images if there is a new release during your term.
You will get the title of "Design Team Member" and your blog will be listed on my sidebar along with the other design team member's blogs.
Your Digital Stamp Oasis cards will be displayed in the DSO card gallery, that I started with photobucket, if you email me a picture of it.
To apply you have to make a card using the sketch I am providing (see bottom of this post) with an image of your choice that requires coloring. Your color medium should be either alcohol based markers (copics, prismas or similar) or artist pencils (like prismacolor pencils) blended with odorless mineral spirit (please note, the printer ink will smear when blended with baby oil). Update: You can actually use watercolors to color if you heat set the ink using a heating tool. Feel free to flip the sketch and add embellishments of your choice. Email your card to: ellibelle_blog@yahoo.com along with a little bit about yourself, like stamping history, favorite products to use. Also include a link to your blog and any online card galleries you have. Anyone from anywhere around the world can apply. Once I made my selection, I will send you one image to make sure you can open the image, are able to print it out and can color it without any problems. After I hear back from you, I will send you the rest of the images. Your term will start April 1st and will end september 30th.
Besides all this, don't forget to have fun creating! The sketch and my sample for the sketch is below.
Ellie.

Ellie.
