Say Something

Hello everyone!

Hope you're having a happy friday! Mine is going to be a little sad, as it is my daughter's very last day of preschool. Can't believe she is starting Kindergarten in August. So not ready for that. She had two wonderful years at preschool, so it is extra sad to see her move on to the next school. But I guess every mom has to deal with this so I will quit whining.

We have a new challenge for you at Stamp Something...

"Say Something".

Our regular sponsor "Simon Says" is sponsoring the challenge this week, and giving away a fantastic prize. Hope you can join for a chance at winning!

For my card I used an image from Karen's Doodles. "Tropical Herbert". I was a lucky winner of a challenge they sponsored and this was one of the images I chose. I love turtles! It has been colored with derwent coloursoft pencils. The sentiment is by Raindrop Echo Designs, available at Whimsy Stamps.

Products used:

Digistamps: Karen's Doodles image, Whimsy Stamps sentiment

A little bird house

Please click here for Word Play Weekend Challenge #3.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Whimsy Stamps recently released some new gorgeous birdhouses by Moon Cookie Gallery, and I finally found some time to play. They are all so gorgeous but this one, "Scalloped Birdhouse", is my favorite. It can be found here.

I thought I'd get out my copics for this one. I am going to try using them some more, hate that they are collecting dust.
I just love my derwent coloursoft pencils so much!

I really wanted to make a simple one layer card with this one, but kept adding to it and this is what it turned out to be. Not sure if I like the gingham ribbon though. Wish I added turquoise ribbon instead, but it's too late now as it is all glued down, so I won't be changing it.

I don't know if you can tell by the picture, but the roof and the flower were added with pop up dots.

Products used:
Scalloped Birdhouse (whimsy stamps)
SEntiment (stampin up -retired)
Papers: Stampin Up, Neenah
Accessories: silver cord, brads, glitter, ribbon
Tools: scallop edge punch (Stampin up), copics

I'd love to enter my card to the following challenges:
I am off to do some cleaning now :-(
Hope you'll check back tomorrow for my new Stamp Something card! Thanks so much for visiting my blog today!

Some Texture for Digital Tuesday

Please click here for Word Play Weekend Challenge #3.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Happy Tuesday everyone and thank you so much for visiting my blog!
It's time for a new challenge over at Digital Tuesday (see link in sidebar) and this week Amy is our hostess. She would like to see some

Texture.

That can be embossing folders or powders, fabrics, anything goes, as long as there is some texture on your projects.

This week we are being sponsored by "The Stamping Boutique" and Tracey, the owner of TSB generously let each Design Team member choose an image from their store. I fell in love with this "Valentines background", and thought it would be perfect to use for a textured card. I knew right away I was going to use popup dots for parts of this gorgeous image.

To make this card I printed it out a few times, so I would have enough parts to cut out for my popped up pieces.

Everything has been colore
d with derwent coloursoft pencils. I used a couple cuttlebug embossing folders for the card front. Added some ribbon and a button and then after photographing it I realized I forgot to add a sentiment. But I'll add it as soon as I get a chance.

Here is a better view of the image with the popped up parts.

I'd love to enter this card to the following challeng
es:
That should be all for today.
I hope you'll get to join us this week, there is a fabulous prize of 5 digis from our sponsor, the stamping boutique, up for grabs.

And one last reminder, if you love Penny Black stamps and would like to be part of the Penny Black at All Sorts Design Team be sure to enter your card now. There are only a few more days left to enter for a chance to be chosen as a DT member, and of course for a chance at winning one of the amazing prizes!

Have a great day!!

Bella and Bronte's Challenge

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hi everyone! Hope you're having a great weekend so far!

I am back with another card!! So excited I got to make another card today while the kids were playing with their friends.

This week's challenge over at Mo Manning's challenge blog is "Distressing". Love distressing my edges, plus I love her digis so I decided to play along again this week.

For my card I used the first digi I have ever bought from Mo Manning. It so much reminds me of my little girl, who has a bunny that looks just like the one the girl in the image is holding. The image is called "Claire" and can be found here.

I colored with derwent coloursoft pencils and copics for the skin tones. I really like how these coloursoft turn out, and now they finally have a set of skin tones. I will be getting that very soon!!

I used papers from Stampin Up, and white Neenah card stock. Added some prima flowers and sticky pearls, and of course I distressed all of the edges using some scissors. Then I sewed around the edges. The sentiment is from Stampin Up (retired).
I really happy how this card turned out! But I guess any card using a Mo Manning image would turn out great!

Would love to enter this to the following challenges:
Thanks so much for visiting me today, don't forget to check out my Word Play Weekend Challenge #3 below, and if you play along you'll get a chance at having your card showcased as the card of the week next saturday!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

The other day I was the lucky winner of a challenge sponsored by Robyn's Fetish, and got to choose 5 digis. The one I used in today's card was one of the digis, called "Birdie's best". Such a pretty image!!

It has been colored with derwent coloursoft pencils and baby oil.

Products used:
Image: Robyn's Fetish (birdies nest)
Papers: Stampin up
Embellishments: ribbon, prima flowers, buttons, hemp twine
Tools: sewing machine, nestabilities, big kick

I'd love to combine this with the following challenges:

Stamp Something with Beach Colors

Happy Friday everyone!!

I hope you are ready for the weekend and ready for a new challenge at stamp something!
Our blog hop last week was a huge success!!! Thank you all so very much!! And thank you all also for all the lovely comments left on my blog!

A winner of the 4 digis from Digital Stamp Oasis has been chosen.

I used random.org to choose a winner. Winning # was 67.
The 67th person leaving a comment was

Natalie Z. Paselska from My Creativity Life.

Congratulations Natalie! Please email me at ellibelle_blog at yahoo dot com with your choice of 4 images from Digital Stamp Oasis.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This week our theme at Stamp Something is

Something with Beach Colors.

Our sponsor this week is Sugar Nellie, so I decided to use one of their adorable images. It has been colored with derwent coloursoft pencils. Copics for the skintones.

I made another CAS card, I have been getting a little frustrated lately with all of the more involved cards as my counter always looks like a tornado halfway before I get done, can't find things, etc. just to later find them sticking to the bottom of my paper cutter or covered underneath a pile of stuff. So I am right now in the mood for the simpler cards, but I am sure the mood for others will be back soon.

For this card I used a new (to me) paper stack from basic grey. Love these colors!! Did some sewing along the edges and on the piece of paper on the bottom. The sentiment is from SU.

Here are the challenge I have combined here:
Hope you'll decide to play along with us this week, don't forget we have an amazing prize up for grabs from Sugar Nellie.

Have a wonderful friday and be sure to check back tomorrow for my 3rd week of Word Play Weekend here on my blog!

Whimsy Stamps.

I just love this little graduation mouse!!
Image has been colored with derwent coloursoft pencils and baby oil. Sketch is from last week's Mojo Monday.

Sunflower fairy

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Happy sunday!!
Hope you're enjoying your weekend where ever you are! We've had rain all day yesterday, and it got much cooler too! Not much better today but not as much rain.

I made this card last week but then couldn't post it because blogger was down.

I used one of Whimsy Stamps' brand new digis from the brand new Whimsy Artist Natalie of Moon Cookie Gallery. Whimsy just released several beautiful flower fairies, this one is the sunflower fairy.

So much fun to color!! I do still need to practice with drawing the eyes and mouth, as these are like those Willow Tree Figurines. My silly mind just needs to see eyes and a mouth though on images, and since I didn't want to miss my chance at playing with the new images, I just decided to draw eyes and mouth myself.

Products used:
Stamps: digi - sunflower fairy by whimsy stamps, Party mini letter seals (sentiment by Whimsy Stamps)
Papers: stampin up
Accessories: ribbon, glitter, sticky pearls
Tools: word window punch (SU), janome sew mini, nestabilies scallop circle

I'd love to enter this card to the following challenges:
That's all for today. Don't forget to check out my Word Play Weekend Challenge! Oh, and also, just a reminder, Penny Black at All sorts is looking for one Designer to join our team. Click here to find out how to apply.

Word Play Weekend Challenge #2

Hello and thanks so much for stopping by!!

It's time for my second Word Play Weekend Challenge !!

The word this week is

Child

Create a card or another papercraft project using a child or children somewhere on your project.

For my card I decided to use a brand new (to me) digi from Mo Manning "Cherry" available here, because I want to combine this challenge with Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge this week.

If you followed my blog then you'll know that her art is one of my very favorite! I have her strawberry and blueberry girl, and of course I needed to add the cherry girl to my collection. While browsing her site the other day I saw that there is also a lemon girl, which I have added to my wishlist. I need to send her a suggestion for a watermelon girl, would absolutely love that!!

Here is my card.

I wanted to keep the focus on this adorable image, so I decided to make a clean and simple card. Colored with derwent coloursoft pencils.

Details:
Image: Mo Manning (cherry)
Papers: Stampin Up, Neenah
Accessories: ribbon, brad, glitter, flower
Tools: MS lace border punch, SU circle punch, janome sew mini

Absolutely loved this one by
Chris Olson.

Isn't is just perfect!!!
Congrats Chris, feel free to grab the logo below to place on your side bar.

A clean and simple Thinking of you

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Happy tuesday everyone!

It's time for a new challenge over at digital tuesday, this week Sharon is our hostess and she'd like to see the sentiment "Thinking of you" on our projects.

This week we are being sponsored by My Grafico, who kindly gave the Design Team the set "Sew long flower" by artist Cheri Wenger. The image I used is part of this beautiful set.

I decided to do a clean and simple card this time, I simply colored the image with derwent coloursoft pencils and blended with baby oil, and then adhered it to a "cuttlebugged" cardbase.
I added a (Martha Stewart) punched grass border to the card, embellished with some ribbon, and then I added a button to one of the flowers.
To finish it off I added some paper piercing.

The sentiment is from Stampin Up.

I am combining this card with the following challenges:
Hopefully you'll be able to join us this week! Our prize this week is a digistamp set of winner's choice from My Grafico, and a 20% discount to be used in their store.

Have a wonderful day!

Word play weekend challenge #1

Hello and welcome to my blog.

I am very excited to share with you that I decided to host a "word play weekend challenge" right here on my blog every weekend.

What is the word play challenge, you may ask.

I will pick a word, and that word has to be present in your design either in part of your image, or as an embellishment or even just as part of your sentiment.

---------------------------------

Challenge #1

Flowers

I chose a super easy one for the first challenge. So all you have to do is make a card with flowers in it, either part of your image or as embellishments.

Please note this challenge is just for fun. I will however feature my favorite design(s) from each challenge with the following challenge.

Here is my card for this challenge.

Image is by Wee Stamps.
Colored with Derwent Coloursoft pencils and baby oil.
Papers are from my stash.
Tools and embellishments: MS and SU punches, janome mini sewing machine, ribbon, brads, glitter.

I used the sketch from The Sweet Stop. The challenge at Daring Cardmakers is Hawthorn or Lily of the valley flowers. Other challenges that my card fits: Catch The Bug (anything goes), Crazy 4 Challenges (lots of flowers), Secret Crafter (use your stash - all papers are from stash), Bloggers Challenge (Nature), Floweret (spring and green), Wags 'n Whiskers (use a die/punch).

I really hope you'll share your creations with me! All you have to do is make a card following the week's word, and then link it with inklinkz below.

Enjoy your weekend!

Monochromatic Blueberry Girl

Hi everyone!

Just another quick post to share a card I made today. I found some time to play while the kids played in the backyard so I decided to try my luck at Mo's digital challenge.

The theme this week is

monochromatic.

For my card I used the image "Blueberry Girl" available here in Mo's shop. It is one of my many favorite Mo Manning digis.

It has been colored with derwent coloursoft pencils and blended with baby oil. The skin was colored with copic markers.

I used papers from My Minds Eye, and card stock from stampin up and Neenah. The flowers were done by layering a couple of Martha Stewart punches and sticky pearls. Flourish is by Tim Holtz. To finish it off I did some sewing with my sewing machine, and then added some glitter.

Here is a close up of the cute image.

Here are the challenges I am combining:
Thanks so much for stopping by! Hope you liked my card!

Have a great weekend!!

Stamp Something - May Digi Week

Happy Friday!!

It's the first friday of the month and that means it's time for our digi week over at stamp something. Lots of fantastic prizes are up for grabs again so hopefully you'll join us.

I got to choose an image from "A day for daisies" for this challenge and I absolutely love this ballerina. The image is called "tulip dancer". I thought it would make a beautiful clean and simple card so I went with a clean and simple look.
It's been printed out on Gina K layering weight card stock and colored with derwent coloursoft pencils blended with baby oil, and then some copics for the skin. The sentiment is from the digital sentiment set "Under the stars" from raindrop echo, available at Whimsy Stamps.

I used some ribbon, prima flowers, sticky pearls and silver cord for embellishing, and did some paper piercing to finish it off.

I'd love to enter this to the following challenges:
Hope you liked my clean and simple card! Thanks so much for stopping by my blog.

Have a great weekend!

May 4, 2011

Celebrate

I had this image sitting around waiting to be colored, so that is just what I did today. Didn't really plan on making a card with it yet, but since I had a little bit of time, I decided to turn it into a clean and simple card.

The image is called "Topsy Turvy" and is available at Whimsy Stamps.

I colored the image with derwent coloursoft pencils and baby oil and sponged the edges of the image piece with turquoise ink. Patterned paper is from Stampin up. The sentiment is from Stampin up also.
To finish it off I added a little bit of ribbon and some glitter around the sentiment and the cake. But for some reason glitter doesn't show up well on my pictures.

I'd love to enter this card to the following challenges:
Thanks so much for stopping by today. I should be back Friday with my DT card for stamp something.

Oh, and don't forget to check out this month's Penny Black at all sorts challenge and Design Team Call for lots of prizes to be won, and also the Whimsy Stamps Blog May digi release blog hop for some Whimsy prizes.

Have a great day!!

Ribbon and Lace and Pink and Girly

Happy Tuesday! Hope you had a great weekend and a good start of the week!

It's tuesday and you know what that means, time for a new challenge at Digital Tuesday. It was Sandy's turn to host and she would like to see

Ribbon and Lace.

That's right, both, not one or the other! Love using lace, and I have just bought some a little while ago but been hoarding it until this weekend. Glad I had the chance to use it again.

I used an image from Mo Manning for my card as I wanted to enter my card to this week's Bella and Bronte's challenge.

Image has been colored with derwent coloursoft pencils and copic markers. Papers are from my stash, I believe they are stampin up (polka dotted paper) and bo bunny (striped paper). Card stock is creamy caramel from SU and white from neenah.

I embellished with some prima flowers and sticky pearls, of course ribbon and lace, and then also did some sewing with my janome mini.

The circle sentiment is from a rubber stamp set from Whimsy Stamps, "Party mini letter seals", by raindrop echo designs. Love that set!!

And here are all the challenges I am combining this with:
I hope you get to play along this week. We have Wendy of Digital Delights sponsoring us and giving away 3 of her darling digis to one lucky randomly chosen winner!

Have a great day!

Hello and welcome to the Whimsy Stamps digital release blog hop for May!
Several new cuties and some sentiment sets have just been released, and some exciting Whimsy news too which I will tell you about below.

If you arrived here from Heike's amazing blog you are in the right place, if not, you will want to go to the beginning which is Sylvia's fabulous blog to start hopping so you don't miss any of the amazing projects!

Don't forget to leave comments along the way as there are going to be 2 mystery blogs that will draw a random winner from all of the comments left, and they get to choose one of the digis. Then at the end of the hop there will be one grand prize winner who will get to choose 5 newly released digis and will also have the chance to showcase them on her/his blog during the month of May as a Guest Designer. How exciting is that!!!

For my card I used one of Crissy's new digis "Nose to Nose". What a cutie!! Loved coloring it!

As usual, I colored the image with derwent coloursoft pencils and some baby oil for blending. I used copic markers for the skin tones.

My pattered papers are from My Minds Eye, card stock are from Neenah (white) and Stampin up (pink and sahara sand). I used a stamp from the SU set "itty bitty backgrounds" around the image and applied stickles glitter to the dots.
Embellished with some prima flowers with brads, a flourish, and some ribbon. To finish it off I did some sewing with my janome mini.

Here is a close up of the adorable image.

Your next stop on this hop is the super talented
Crissy's blog.

Be sure to leave comments for a chance to win. And if you get lost along the way, just go to the Whimsy Inspirations Blog for the complete hop list.

Challenges:

Now onto the exciting Whimsy News, Whimsy Stamps has a Brand New Artist, Natalie of Moon Cookie Gallery. She will officially start with our June release, but she did draw some awesome Vase images, which are just perfect for upcoming Mother's Day. I couldn't resist using one of them, so here is my card. I decided to make a "thank you" card with it.

It's been colored with derwent coloursoft pencils and baby oil. Papers are my minds eye and bazzil, white is Neenah. I embellished with some ribbon and then did some paper piercing and added glitter. There are several different vase images to choose from. This one is the "whimsical swirly vase" I hope you'll check them out!

Challenges:
I also wanted to remind you that there is still time to help the victims of Japan by purchasing any of the special "Help for Japan" images/sentiment set individually or as a set. All proceeds will go to the American Red Cross to help the Japan Earthquake victims. And since this is the last week they will be available, Denise has them marked down at 50% off.
